Lets Get Real:

One does hope that POTUS does not come to regret these words, what the Lord giveth, a good Hill victory the Lord taketh away with Afghanistan and China might invade Taiwan, thus forcing the US and the West to support the Democratic Island.  This blog has argued that you can be liberal or conservative when it comes to your domestic agenda, but you have to be STRONG when you are President, one only looks at what happened to Jimmy Carter, the Russians going in to Afghanistan and the Tehran hostage crisis, American President need to be feared by the World, being like does not matter, that was the problem with President Obama, when he drew a red line if Syria used chemical weapons and they did and Obama did nothing.  That what happens when you get the NOBEL PRIZE for DOING NOTHING.  The personal ego takes over the Presidential ego.  At the end of his two terms, President Obama had a 58% approval rating with Gallup, while Reagan had 63% and Clinton had 66%, with the CBS poll both had 68% even after their policy and personal scandals.   A President needs to be feared more than loved, and respected, China is seeing how far it can push Biden and Taiwan.

BBC News: Reports the high poll ratings of President Obama, " Separate polls conducted by The Washington Post/ABC and CNN/ORC both found Mr Obama with 60% approval. "

Lets Get Real:

This is a good poll rating to have at the end of two terms, it should be noted that Bill Clinton had 66% approval rating by Gallup in 2001, while Reagan had 63% in 1989, thus far the Gallup poll has not been published for Obama.   Of course Reagan had seen his VP, Bush 41 elected his successor, while Clinton saw his VP, Al Gore defeated by Bush 43, and Obama has seen the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton go down to Donald Trump.   The press really HATE the Trump, they are hardly objective when it comes to President Trump, let's hope the new President is very lucky and can produce results, if US is great again then the World is better off, if Trump is a disaster the World suffers, both in the economic and security field.

It could be that the left wing elite have doubts about the return of the Clintons to the White House, do they trust Hillary Clinton to be as left wing as President Obama, and then there is always Bill Clinton, do you trust him period.    The left wing of the Democratic Party want Senator Warren to run, she is their kind of left winger, in the Obama mold.  The Clintons are seen as to centre, to close to business, and money to the Clinton Charity is also causing problems, it can be seen as a way for foreign government to get good will from the Clintons by their charity donation.  This is the real world, you do not give millions for nothing, how ever good the cause.   The arrows at the Clinton run could allow a new candidate to enter the field, how about Al Gore.

Since 9/11 folks the World has changed, the intelligence networks of the West have to spy on everyone and every thing, no one wants to go through another 9/11 or 7/7, if a nuclear dirty bomb goes off in London or New York, the people will not care about privacy issues, they will want to know who dropped the ball, a recent report in the UK Times showed that yellow cake, a material that can be used for a nuclear device is not secure in Libya.  The US and the UK have to have their ears open, in that process they pick up millions of info, one can not say that innocent info is not been picked up, but also terrorists info is also picked up, so what do you want folks, totally security but your privacy removed a bit or no security and total privacy, that is the choice you have folks, GET OVER IT.  In this hat off to the NSA, lets hope the UK is doing the same, ears open folks.

Thus folks since Boston these days have the echo of the days and weeks after 9/11, of course there is still the question who and why, ricin is not something you buy at the local store, the FBI will be under pressure to find something fast, the CIA will be looking in case they missed any dots, but so far there have been no reports of Al Qaeda or their franchise groups taking the credit from their view of these attacks, thus this still has the feeling that it might be either right wing terrorists or a lone wolf from the right or who support groups like Al Qaeda or other Islamic groups.    Watch this Space folks.

This just might not be a great idea by the Obama Camp, the Clinton record was good, million of Americans got jobs, the US Budget was in balance in 2001, and what is the Obama record, 8.3% unemployment, 16 trillion US debt, sluggish growth that does that not keep up with population growth. The US voter just might say, hold on, Clinton was a winner, Obama promised a lot and failed. Also the Clinton magic might work with the Democrats, up to a point, last time this blog looked Hillary Clinton lost in 2008, also Bill Clinton was only really liked by US voters when he could deliver for them, he has not been President for a long time, this blog has noticed that when Bill turns up in State elections it does not mean that the Democrat is going to win, those days are long gone. The US voter did not want Clinton thrown out office because of his sex scandal but they did not want a 3rd Clinton term either in the shape of Al Gore, thus the Clinton magic just might be at the DNC and in the uber liberal media, it might not have that much of an effect, just a thought folks.

OBL's Death - The Truth

Lets Get Real:

This blog has not problem that OBL was kllled while unarmed, or shot while wounded on the floor, in fact the US Special Forces were to kind to him, if it has been this blog he would taken his time to die, we were all changed by 9/11. The worry for the Oval is that the US left will start to ask questions, were the lied too, the official version was that OBL was going for a gun, not true, thus the operation to get OBL was a kill operation. If Obama had been a Republican the US liberal left would be going bonkers, but one can expect they will remain quiet in till after November. The US Special Forces that killed OBL are heroes, its just the shame that the Oval is acting like it killed OBL, it gave the order but was not there, and from reports it seems that the Oval was pushed in to taking action by Secretary Clinton, thus not that impressive POTUS.

Death in Afghanistan

As 0f 2001 the UK has lost 415 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 375 in combat/hostile action, while another 40 have died due to illness, accidents or other incidents. How many more will be lost before the UK leaves Afghanistan in 2014, will the last to be killed, die for nothing, sorry to say this folks but if we are getting out, lets get out with the French, we have supported our ally the US since 2001, Obama wants out, the US voters wants out, lets not allow our Soldiers died to help Obama get re-elected, that his problem.

It will be interesting to see how his views of international relationship develop from his time as Chief of Staff to President Ford, seen as a moderate Republican when compared to Ronald Reagan by the Establishment of the Republican Party in the 1970s, to the dark hand behind of the Bush 43 Presidency from the prospective of the Liberal elite from 2001. Also what was his relationship like with Bush 43, did he feel as the Bush 43 Presidency went on after the re-election win of 2004 that he had less power, in views on the Libby Case and the well known stand off with Bush 43 over a pardon. Also lets get to the elephant in the room, that is Iraq, that should dominate the memoir, one can see LIBERALS reading every word looking, looking for an apology or that Bush 43 lied and knew he was laying about Iraq. It should be a bestseller folks, the Bush 43 book was New York Times bestseller.

Civil War in Labour, Miliband vs. The Dark Prince

Mail on Sunday: Reports on the war of words between Ed Miliband and the Dark Prince Lord Mandelson, it seems that the Dark Prince I not happy that “ Brutus “ Miliband told him in essence to take himself off to an old peoples home. The Dark Prince one of the founders of New Labour does not want to his creation thrown in to the bin, it can be argued that New Labour as an election machine was top rate, it won three elections, but the question that Labour has to ask after Iraq is New Labour a negative or a positive. It can be argued that New Labour works with the right leader, thus Tony Blair won the 2005 Election even with Iraq front and centre. The question that Labour has to ask is Ed Miliband the right leader to be the successor to New Labour, if the answer is NO then they have to get rid of him and get his brother David Miliband in as the new leader, lets recall D Miliband did win the majority of MPs and of Labour supporters, E Miliband only won due to the Trade Unions. Lets hope Labour does not make the same mistake as they did with Gordon Brown, they could have gotten rid of him but decided to go down with the ship thus the defeat in 2010.

The conspiracy theorists will have a field day with this kind of story, it will allow the nuts to say that the Bush Administration could have prevented 9/11 etc. This is the last thing the US needs due to the present crisis of the planned the aborted idea to burn the Koran. Also all media should stop giving the nutty Pastor in Florida TV time, that’s why this blog has not covered the story, people have started to die in Afghanistan.

Guardian: Reports on its exclusive interview with the former Labour PM Tony Blair, the former PM states that he knew that Mr Brown would be a disaster as PM due to his flawed character and his selling out of New Labour. One can hear the muffled cries of NO from ex Labour PM Gordon Brown in Scotland tonight, so far he has been stabbed in the back by Lord Mandelson and in the front by Tony Blair. One has to wonder how New Labour ever won three elections, the London Media must have been asleep at the wheel to allow these flawed characters to gain power. The memoirs of Tony Blair will really focus the mind of Labour members, do they support the heir of Tony Blair in the shape of David Miliband or do they go down the Gordon Brown route with Ed Miliband, the old New Labour founders are not going down without a fight, my money is on Blair and Mandelson.

BBC News: Reports on a not so veiled attack by Lord Mandelson on Ed Miliband, a contender for the Labour Leadership, the Dark Prince stated that in essence that Ed Miliband would be a disaster for Labour as he wants to take it back to a pre New Labour age, in other words higher taxes and Union power. It is surprising that the Dark Prince has take so long to get in to the fight, this blog of late has been on the attack when it comes to Ed Miliband, what ever you think of the Blair/Brown age they did bring Labour in to power and the winning of three elections. The election of Ed Miliband would be a disaster for Labour, it would show that New Labour was a fake, once Labour was out of power and not in the running for power it returned to its comfort zone, a extreme left wing Party, of higher taxes and giving the Unions the power to bring the Country to a stand still. If you support and want a Labour Government in the future support David Miliband, otherwise expect years in Opposition.

NO, NO NO, Lord Mandelson, it’s the truth about New Labour but its not flattering, it shows a bunch of egomaniacs that you would not allow to take your dog for a walk, with the Mandelson memoir and the Campbell Diaries you have Gordon Brown brooding and plotting over the succession of Tony Blair between 1994 - 2007, Tony Blair never really standing up to Gordon Brown, guilty about taking the PRIZE from him, then you have Peter Mandelson and Gordon Brown at daggers drawn, the Deputy Leader John Prescott not being kept informed, then you have internal Scottish Wars between Gordon Brown and the late Robin Cook. But this is the important point folks the Memoir of Lord Mandelson is a page turner as in the Alastair Campbell Diaries, lets hope Tony Blair has taken this in account for his book, you have to want to turn the page, lets recall this blog is quite Conservative.

Gordon Brown = Lord Byron and a Mafia Don ?

Guardian: Reports on more revelations form the Dark Prince Lord Mandelson, the Guardian reports that the ex UK PM Tony Blair stated that his successor was mad, bad etc, but it can be postulated without the writing qualities of Lord Byron and the threatening manner of a Mafia Don, didn’t hear about any horses head in 10 Downing Street. Have to admit this does sound over the top even for New Labour, but on other hand can you see Lady Thatcher putting up with Gordon Brown for a day never mind 10 years. This blog is still waiting to hear why Tony Blair didn’t sack Gordon Brown when he had the chance in 2005, yes Brown would have caused massive problems on the backbenches but at lest it would have been Blair ‘s Government, was Mr Blair afraid that he would share the same fate as Lady Thatcher when she got rid of her opposition. How New Labour every won three elections will be mystery to this blog for many a year, on the whole a bunch of ego maniacs with no self discipline and then there is the Iraq War, what more can you say about New Labour.

The Sun Poll - 6pt Conservative Lead

The Sun: Has a daily tracking poll for the UK 2010 Election, this poll also has the Conservative Party on a 6pt lead over the Labour Party, in this poll the Conservatives have 39%, the Labour Party 33% and the Liberal Democrats on 20%. As we have seen with the Guardian Poll the Parties are within two percent of 37% - 39% for the Conservative Party and 31% - 33% for the Labour Party, the LibDems are stuck on 20%. Thus for the Conservatives to get a 1 set majority in the House of Commons they need a swing of 6.9%, more than Tony Blair got in 1997. The question that has to be asked is the Guardian right that the Conservative Party has not secured that deal with the UK voter, it really depends if you trust the polls, or more correctif you trust the UK voter to be honest with those asking the questions, one only has to recall 1992, everyone thought it was Labour shoe in, well John Major won with a 21 seat majority, thus Major and the Conservatives stayed in power in till 1997 and the arrival of Tony Blair. The 1997, 2001, and 2005 elections one knew who was going to win well before the election was called, and it was not the Conservative Party, this blogger will wait in till closer to May 6th before making a final prediction on share count and the seats in the House of Commons. There will be a lot of polls before the end folks, this blogger wont be going through them all; HAIL, I hear you shout; but if there is trend will point them out, such as both the Conservative Sun and the Labour Guardian both have the Tory Party with a six point lead, not enough for a Commons majority but a Hung Parliament, what fun that will be folks.
