It can be postulated that President Trump will be a one term President, he will join the ranks of Hoover, Carter and Bush 41.  If you followed POTUS by his tweets and self centred news conferences you would go around the bend fast.   The President cannot help himself, he places a foot in mouth every time he speaks, Creepy Joe might not be all there either but at least he knows when to STOP TALKING.   The reaction of POTUS to COVID - 19 has a been a political and moral disaster for Trump, he bashes the experts and takes a drug that he says helps prevent getting COVID - 19, this has been rejected by the science community.  The economy is a disaster, before COVID - 19 the stock market was high and it could be argued that Trump had a chance, this time he does not.  Thus over the pond, here in the UK it will be interesting to see who Biden nominates has his VP, also his Defence and State Departments choices.   Creepy Joe is a lesser evil to support, he might not be all there and his policy decisions over forty years when it comes to national security has to be suspect at best, well WRONG to be honest, Robert Gates stated in his book memoirs that Biden has not been right in four decades over national security.  At Biden will be a one term President, he is OLD, really OLD.   Thus after the madness of Trump the US voter will want some dignity back in to the role of President, after one term one can see Biden giving over to his VP, thus it is important who the VP is, let's hope its not Susan Rice, she fell on her sword for OBAMA over Benghazi.  There is NO WAY IN HELL TRUMP CAN WIN, and in pure political terms, he has burned his own lifeboat.

This blog has been curious why Former President Obama has been VERY quiet about the subject, thus we know now, if Susan Rice knew then so did POTUS, poor Rice was the constant Administration nominee to take the political arrows for President Obama.  Of course the Republicans should have Rice appear before the House intelligence and Senate intelligence Committee and should be asked did President Obama order Rice to unmask the names of those close to the Trump Campaign.   When it comes to Chicago politics one has to understand, they do not play fair, they play dirty. 

NSA Leaks - 2nd Term Blues

So one wonders how the EU will react to the remarks by the new US National Security Advisor Susan Rice that the NSA leaks are not serious, this blog would bug the EU ALL DAY AND NIGHT, just for a laugh really folks, but at least this blog is open to the idea, but the most import part is that you DO NOT GET CAUGHT, and you do not give security clearance to a traitor that will blow the whistle on the operation.    The Obama mass support in the EU has long gone folks, this will not help with the European elite or the populations of the EU, the EU might not be popular but they represent Europe, from Ministers to MEPs, the NSA if there is no terrorist link should keep their nose out, the EU might be a threat to European Democracy, but its the concern of the population of the EU not the one man in the Oval.

This is the 2nd foul up by Ambassador Rice, she either lied or was clueless about the  terrorist attack on the US Consulate in Libya, now she dismisses China and Russia saying GET LOST to the US President over the Edward Snowden, both Obama and Rice of late have treated the traitor Snowden as if he had taken his dog out with a bin bag,  from State to Defence we have been warned that the action of the Traitor Snowden has damaged US national security and we have this kind rubbish out of Obama and Rice, no wonder China and Russia are not afraid of POTUS, that is the problem when your up your own ego, you start to think your press statements are the truth.   The Congress is not afraid of Obama, now the World understands what those on the right have been saying for years, Obama is a Jimmy Carter with charisma, he also happens to be windbag, his Berlin Speech showed the magic has gone, he was no JFK or Reagan, Obama reminds this blog of a silent film star, when talkies came the spin failed after a time, and the voice did not appeal, and without the appeal of the voice any US President is a lame duck, for Obama its worse, there is no there there with Obama, there never was folks. 

Rice in CHARGE, NOT Kerry! - 2nd Term MISTAKE

The uber left wing Guardian is almost jumping with joy at the prospect of Ambassador Rice becoming the new NSA, they do not seem to have a problem with the fact that there is NOW the perception that Secretary Kerry is just hat stand, all the power will be within the Oval, while the State Department will be lucky to get the news before it turns up on the 24/7 news channels. this not new folks, one is surprised that Kerry agreed to take the job, he just might like the title and flaying, he will have no say in the White House once Rice becomes the NSA, she speaks for the President, and the D.C and World will know that fact, there is almost an argument that the job of Secretary of State should be abolished and the Department moved under the National Security Advisor, it will save time and it would give the NSA some Departmental influence, it could even be argued that the NSA should get Senate approval, no President will agree to that, thus poor Secretary Kerry, all that glitter and its fake.   That is the price of ego and politics folks. 

Rice for NSA - 2nd Term MISTAKE

Thus folks we now know who sent out Ambassador Rice to lie to the Sunday political talks shows, this is political payback from Oval, and it smells of a Chicago deal,  as President Obama could not get Rice through the US Senate he has to appoint her to a post that does not need Senate confirmation, this means that the miss leading statements of the Libyan terror attack came from the Oval, the use of a vile anti Islamic video as a faint had its origins in the Oval, that can be the only reason for this appointment, as Rice has been a good Soldier and kept her mouth shut at the cost of her credibility to the Foreign Policy Establishment, lets face it folks you can not trust a word that Rice says in the future, she will say what ever the Oval wants to say, her political career is finished once Obama is out of OFFICE, does she get that fact, one has doubts. 

Throwing Hillary Clinton UNDER the BUS!! - 2nd Obama Administration

Thus someone at the White House was trying to throw Hillary Clinton under the bus, stress that ALL the terror points that were deleted came about due to the Clinton State Department, but then we have State Department emails that state that the State leadership was still concerned about any terror reference, so not sure how this really helps Hillary Clinton, one can assume that the leak came from the Clinton Camp, just muddy waters, thus more questions for the White House, if the State Department was not behind the removal of the terror references who had the final say, who in the White House was pushing this message, one has to wonder was the Oval redrafting the talking points on his own PC, that is joke folks, but who pushed Ambassador Rice on to the Sunday talk shows, who would Rice fall on her sword for, who could appoint her Secretary of State, yes folks, ALL leads go back to the Oval. 

Kerry in South Korea - NK Crisis Update 3

Guardian: Reports the following on the visit of the US Secretary of State John Kerry to South Korea, " US secretary of state tells Seoul right decisions can ensure peace, and says a nuclear-capable North will not be accepted ".

Folks, lets be totally honest here, the only way out of this mess is to give North Korea food to feed its starving people, while it builds up its nuclear arsenal, the North is a nuclear armed power, the talks that the US has had with the NK should be a warning about Iran,  the Stalinist Regime has agreed to talks before, it has made promises then lied, during the Clinton and Bush Administrations, it knows that the Regime only keeps in power because it has the bomb, it knows it can lie to the US and get away with it, you do not play military games with a Country with the bomb, thus folks another warning about Iran.  The Oval and the UN must hope that if the NK is given food it will get back in the box for a while, the North Koreans have made it clear that  they will not deal when it comes to their nuclear arsenal, thus its check mate, the Oval should have a word with China, get China to give what ever food NK wants and then the US will pay China.   Then the Oval can say it has not been blackmailed, China can ask a favour back, and NK can feed its people, just an idea folks. 

New Chiefs at Defence and CIA - 2nd Obama Term

BBC News:  Reports that President Obama has nominated former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel as the next US Defence Secretary and his Obama's counter - terrorism advisor  John Brennan as head of the CIA. 

Lets Get Real:

Of the two nominations the selection of Mr Brennan should cause less problems on the whole, some liberals and even some Republicans might be worried that Mr Brennan was to close to the torture practices of Bush 43, but on the whole that is small crowd,  the major worry for the Oval is that the selection of Senator Hagel could unite the Republicans and even some Democrats who are worried that Hagel is to the left of POTUS on Israel and Iran, he has been critical of the Israeli lobby in US politics, yes folks he is that out there and wants talks with Iran.   This nomination could be in trouble, but a President should have who he wants in his Cabinet, lets see if POTUS backs up Hagel, he did not support his UN Ambassador for State.   The Defence nomination fight could define the 2nd Obama term, does the Oval have the power to push it through. 

Hagel for Defence - 2nd Obama Term

The Hill: Reports that the expected nomination of former Senator Chuck Hagel as the next US Defence Secretary is in trouble, the article notes the following, " ..has been criticized for prior statements on Israel lobbyists and a gay ambassadorial nominee, as well as his positions toward Iraq, Iran and Cuba. ".

Lets Get Real:

Lets recall Bush 41 lost his choice of Senator Tower to be US Defence Secretary because of Senate opposition, Hagel has managed to annoy both the left and right, lets see how much the Israeli Lobby really want to block Hagel, they might think that if Israel is going to attack Iran it does not need a US Defence Secretary that is hostile to Israel.   Lets recall folks the Mid Terms are in 2014, one of the biggest money givers to Democrats are Jewish groups, in other words folks the Democrats in the Senate and House can not afford to bite the hand that gets them elected.   The Republicans have serious national security concerns about Hagel, he opposed the Iraq War and wants talks with Iran, yes folks, if POTUS wants to talk to Iran he will have support from both Kerry at State and Hagel at Defence.    On the Oval side POTUS has to go to bat for Hagel, if he is rolled even more he nominates Hagel the 2nd Obama term will start from a weak position, and power fades from a 2nd term fast folks.   POTUS threw his UN Ambassador under the bus even  before an official nomination, he can not afford a 2nd defeat, a US President should have his choice at State and Defence, he WON, it does not matter the political views of Hagel, the case with Rice was different, she fell on her sword during the election due to Libya,  she was seen by Republicans as spinning for the Oval, when the truth did not match she was toast.   Thus far nothing like that has come up when it comes to Hagel, having left wing views in itself should not be a block on a nomination, that is the same when its right wing views for the Cabinet or being a Judge.  Lets see how this story develop folks. 

Kerry for State - Official

Guardian: Reports from the US that " ..with both ABC and CNN reporting that Obama had opted for Kerry. ", neither of these networks would gone with the story if it was not from the Oval. 

Lets Get Real:

If UN Ambassador Rice goes from the UN to be Obama's new National Security Advisor the job of Secretary of State could be all title no horses to use a Texan phrase, as the article notes on the relationship between Hillary Clinton and POTUS, " Conventional thinking in Washington has it that Clinton has never been close to Obama and has tended to be excluded from decision-making on major issues.. ".   Thus the future Secretary Kerry might find as previous US Secretary of States have found that the real foreign policy is done out of the White House, as reported Ambassador Rice is a strong character, so one can expect some tension between the Oval and State, will Rice be the new Kissinger, while Kerry gets the press attention the real news story will be the White House.  ALL 2nd term Presidents sooner or later, and it is sooner in most cases find they are a political dodo on the Hill, at least on foreign policy POTUS has more freedom, thus the article in the NYT that Iran has agreed to one to one talks with the US, one can see Obama thinking he is the new Nixon, that he can open up Iran  for talks, as Nixon did with China and the USSR.  Good luck with that Mr President, Israel might think it has nothing to lose and attack Iran if it thinks that Obama is going to do a JFK and sell them out as Kennedy did with Turkey over the Cuban Missile Crisis.   Thus over the next few years foreign policy will become more central to the Oval, it always does folks.

This is funny folks, you can laugh, lets be clear here, the Oval never actually in a formal manner nominated Ambassador Rice to be the next US Secretary State, thus this statement is based  on a D.C rumour that was never actually confirmed by the Oval.    One has to to think that Senator Kerry will be pleased to be the next Secretary State even if he was the 2nd choice, the Republicans will see it as way to get former Senator Scott Brown back in to the Senate after he lost his race in November.   This mess is down to the fact that Ambassador Rice at the height of the 2012 election allowed herself to be used by the Oval to spin a weak a story about the death of the US Ambassador to Libya that was NOT TRUE, even as she went on the 5 Sunday talk shows they story was falling apart, this should be a political lesson to the Ambassador, do not fall on your sword if your not going to get any benefits in the future, it seems from the latest reports that Rice will be made Obama's National Security Advisor, in other words foreign policy will be made at the Oval, so expect some rows between State and the Oval. 

Susan Rice - NOT Madam Secretary

Guardian: Reports that the US UN Ambassador Susan Rice has withdrawn from the race to be the next US Secretary of State, the blog states the following, " To many seasoned observers it looks like the president has just lost a high-profile fight with Republicans over a potential nominee he has very publicly defended, indeed is personally linked to. ".

Thus the Obama 2nd term starts with a defeat folks, this does recall Bush 41 wanting Senator Tower to be his Defence Secretary but failing in the Senate, the next pick was Richard Cheney, yes folks that Cheney, in the liberal view the Dark side of the Bush 43 Administration.   In the Clinton 1st term the Oval has a nightmare in getting a Attorney General, this kind of defeat needs good PR and a good replacement and fast as to move the news cycle.   As the blog states the frontrunner for the job is Senator Kerry, this would be a mistake by the Oval, Kerry is a War hero, Lt Governor, Senator and the 2004 Democratic Nominee, very hard to control folks once he is in the job.  Thus good advice to President Obama, pick someone you like and trust, but with no political base, someone who will bring you good advice but has no PR presence if possible, and will allow the Oval to run Foreign Affairs,   This is good advice to the Oval and its free.

It seems even the left wing Guardian is reading the tea leaves on this folks, the Republicans in the Senate have made it clear, even the moderate Republicans that there will be blood on the carpet should the Oval try to get Rice in to State.   IF and it is still a IF the Rice nomination is OVER, who will go to State, the rumour mill has 2004 Democratic Nominee Senator Kerry as the front runner, ADVICE to Oval find someone else, a Kerry run State Department will be run by Kerry, it will be hard for POTUS to get Kerry to do his bidding, a War hero, but also anti Vietnam protest leader, Lt Governor, Senator and 2004 Dem nominee, lets be honest Kerry will be a nightmare, he will think he should be in the Oval.   If this blog was the Oval it would find someone who does not have his or her own political base and will follow the orders of the Oval but is a good thinker, thus can allow the Oval new thoughts and new directions.   Lets see how this plays out folks.

This blog is pointing its finger at the Oval or someone close to the Oval, US intelligence cant have been that slow to work out that the terrorist attack on the US Consulate in Libya was planned.  The spin that it was a mob and linked to a video helped the Oval far to much for it to be unexpected, thus the intelligence talking points were washed by the White House.   The question IS WHO washed the information, who gave the order, who sent Ambassador Rice to the networks to be economic with the truth.    One would have to reason that is was the Oval, why such a push to make Rice the next Secretary of State after Hillary Clinton, in less to keep her on board, in other words to make sure she does not point the finger at the Oval.   This stinks folks, what is worse is that the uber liberal main stream media are not really going after the Oval, they seem to take direction from the Oval.   GROW UP PRESS.

CNN - Politics: Reports on the negative reaction by Conservative Republicans to the idea that former Secretary of State Condi Rice is at the top of the Romney list to be his VP. It is two words folks, abortion, Rice is pro choice, and Bush 43, she is seen as close to the centre of the Bush years.

As to the abortion issue Rice could say that she has change her mind, lets recall that Ronald Reagan was a liberal Democrats for years, as to the Bush years she could state the success at the end of Bush in Iraq, also the Bush tax cuts, she would have to distance herself from the Bush bailout of the banks, that is a BIG NO to tea party supporters. The great point about Secretary Rice is that she is clever enough to stress the plus points, while being diplomatic enough to change her positions to fit the Romney ticket. Lets see if Romney is that BOLD, it would be a game changer, but lets see folks, it could be a story leaked to change the news cycle, get the press off the Obama attack on Romney's business record, lets see folks, fun time in politics.

It would be a game changer folks, but a good game changer, Secretary Rice is seen as close to Bush 43, she was his first National Security Advisor, then Secretary of State, her role in War on Terror, then Afghanistan and Iraq would be a open target to Democrats. Then we have policy battles between Rice and VP Cheney, in this case Cheney in his memoir has stated that the State Department let down the President when it came to North Korea. The Democrats would not be able to question her ability, but they would question her judgement, on the other hand it would get the press off the past business dealings of Governor Romney for a time. This blog has doubts about this story, it is to early for Rice after the Bush years, it could be argued that she should run for the Presidency herself in 2016. On other hand it would be a bold move, VERY BOLD. Does Romney have the guts to be that bold.

Romney and this Taxes

Guardian: Reports the following on Governor Romney’s tax returns, “ ..he paid a much lower rate on his multimillion-dollar income than the average American….places him in the top 1% of earners..”. This is a problem folks, you can see the Democratic Adverts NOW, Romney is Mr 1%, while the rest of the US is 99%. Also this should help Speaker Gingrich, the article notes that he paid 31% in tax. Gingrich should ask Romney who is Accountant is, take some advice. One can see why Republican Elders are getting worried about Romney, a Republican Convention without a Candidate having a majority of the delegates might not be that bad folks. In that time after the 1st ballot a better Nominee can be found, what about Jeb Bush or Condi Rice. This election cycle could be up there with 2000 folks.
