Guardian: Reports that the Business Secretary Vince Cable has stated that his reform of tuition fees could be moved in the House of Commons while he and his fellow Liberal Democrats abstain. This is why Liberal Democrats are loathed by Conservatives and Labour supporters, the want it both ways, how can a Secretary of State abstain from his own idea, what comes first the Country or Party. The Lib Dems have to make a decision, are they in or out of Government, if they refused to support their own Secretary of State what is stop Tories from defecting on granting a referendum on AV. It is time for the Lib Dems to grow up. They wanted a Coalition Government will this is the price, not being liked by the left.
A look at the Politics of the United States and the UK. The Foreign Policies of both countries and how they behave in the International Community.

Telegraph JOINS Paywall
Guy Fawkes Blog: Reports that the Telegraph will join the Times and go beyond a pay wall. Thus once the Telegraph goes beyond the veil folks there will be no links from this blog, the point of current events is that they are CURRENT, one day breaking news then fish and chip paper. In this modern day there is 24 hour news channels and their web pages, the point of major papers is to give the best news commentary, but if they go beyond the veil then they lose their political power and links back to the original story. This blog is not going to pay for current news, SORRY. Its about time the old newspapers found new ways to make money, it is not pay walls, how about paying bloggers to link back to them and then add adverts to each link.
NO Talks South Korea, US = North Korea
The New York Times: Reports that the US and South Korea have both rejected a request by China that they return to talks with North Korea. If the US returned to talks with North Korea it would be a major political win for the North, it would show that they got away with shelling South Korea and in the developing of a major new nuclear plant. If China wants peace in the region it will have to force to North Korea to grovel a bit, or show that it is really willing to talk about its nuclear ambitions, Obama can not afford to show weakness as Iran will be watching what the US does with North Korea. In many respects North Korea is as much about Iran as North Korea.
Black Ops in Iran ?
The Daily Mail: Reports one nuclear scientist was killed today in Tehran while another was injured by car bombs. It does not take a great leap of thinking to guess who was behind this operation, does seem bit extreme, but if these scientists were part of the process that allows Iran to get the bomb then action has to be taken, NO this does not mean that you go around killing people without cause, but and this is the big but, IF Iran wont give up its nuclear ambitions then those ambitions have to be removed what ever way that preserves peace in the Middle East. If my guess is right then expect a few more wet jobs as they say in the intelligence trade, it’s the only way to slow down Iran. This is the real world folks, not the world of the West Wing.

Is Italy NEXT ? = Ireland
Telegraph: Reports that the bond markets have not reacted well to the Irish bailout, they have turned their eyes to Italy, the Italians have a debt of over two trillion Euros. Lets get real folks, we have had Greece, now Ireland, one has to ask when will it be Portugal, or Spain, what if Spain, Portugal and Italy all need a bailout, how much will the German taxpayer but up with, and what point do they say NO to Euro and ask for their beloved currency back, the Germans cant bailout the whole of Europe. The banking and sovereign debts are jus to much, the European countries have to default and start again, this time live in the real world, restart the welfare state as it is now not in 1945. Thus as stated many times on this blog, if people want a NHS in then they have to pay for it, if they want to live for over a hundred then they will have to pay above the norm. The loans form the banks in the future will have to be based on the idea that you can pay it back sometime, not on the never ever as at present. Thus the banks should be taken over and restarted, the welfare state will have to be reformed, the people of Europe will have to decide do they want to pay higher taxes for a big welfare state, if not they have to live with the consequences, this debt mountain cant last folks. This is not 1945 and the US cant come to the rescue of Europe, it can barely look after its own debt.

North Korea and China - Wikileaks Leak 3
Guardian: Reports that China is ready to cut bait when it comes to North Korea. I guess even China has limits when it comes to North Korea, they might complain but what are they willing to do to close down the threat of war in the region, diplomats can complain all day but it’s the political leaders that make the decision, are they on the same page, if China really wants a united Korea under the Government of South Korea then its going the long way around, what if something goes wrong in the region, what if North Korea goes to far, what if after an attack by North Korea the South decides to react, there could still be a second Korean War folks, lets see who as has the best hand, China or North Korea. It might not be China folks!

North Korean Missiles to Iran - Wikileaks LEAK 2
The New York Times: Reports that Iran has gained advance missiles from North Korea, thus a threat to Western Europe. As stated a few times in this blog that was always the fear that Iran would get North Korean information that would allow them to develop more sophisticated missiles. The question that has to be asked, does Iran already have the bomb, if North Korea is selling missiles, then what about spare nuclear bombs, how good is the CIA or MI6 when it comes to North Korean and Iran intelligence, lets recall the sophisticated new nuclear plant that was shown by North Korea early this month before its shelling of South Korea, how aware was the West of this plant, one has doubts that West knew the level of sophistication, who is to say that North Korea has not already made Iran a nuclear armed power, might even Israel be in the dark, has to be asked folks.

Saudi King wanted IRAN ATTACK - Wikileaks LEAK 1
BBC News: Reports on call by the King of Saudi Arabia for the US to attack Iran. Its ironic that both Israel and SA want Iran attacked, but the slow Country is the Obama White House. These Wikileaks will place more pressure on POTUS to get his finger out and attack Iran, the Oval will know that Iran is looking at the policies of Obama via North Korea, once North Korea got the bomb it knew it could not be attacked thus its attacks on South Korea on land and sea. What if Iran gets the bomb, what if Iran attacks SA, will the Obama White House defend a close ally, the problem would be that Iran would have the bomb, if attacked it could strike Israel, that would lead to a nuclear war in the region. President Obama wanted the job, well lets see if he is as good as he thinks he is, this blog has its doubts.
5.83% Interest for Ireland
The Irish PM has stated that the EU has charged Ireland 5.83% interest for its multi billion euro bailout. This will not go down well in Ireland.
Palin NO Reagan - 2012 Republican Race
The Hill: Reports that the 2008 Republican Nominee for President Senator John McCain has refused to compare his running mate, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to Ronald Reagan. Lets recall Ronald Reagan was President of the Actors Unions, Governor of California for two terms, ran for President in 1968, 1976, Governor Palin left her job in Alaska in her first term, her only national run was in 2008. Lets not write off Governor Palin, she just might be the “ The Woman ” for 2012.
Wikileaks and Cyber Attack
BBC News: Reports that Wikileaks is stating that it is under cyber attack. Have tried the link but get a problem message, one has to wonder is the good old CIA, MI6 or Mossad doing its job at last, a bit late as the material it seems is in the hands of the Guardian in the UK, they have stated they will print the stuff even with a D - Notice. Its very hard to keep secret these days if its in cyberspace, any decent hacker or bad hacker can get lucky and lets not forget the hacking operations run by the above intelligence agencies, it’s a new world folks, lets see who wins.
6.7% Interest for Ireland ?
Telegraph: Reports that Ireland could be charged 6.7% in interest payments for the bailout from the EU/IMF and the UK. If Irish opposition politician would tell the EU get lost, according to economic experts Ireland can not afford that kind of interest, its in the political interest of the EU/IMF for Irish to come back strong, if they are in debt prison for a decade this will not help Ireland and the UK. Lets recall the World War One debts allowed for the raise of Hitler in Germany, thus lets hope EU is not making the same kind of mistake, not that Ireland will produce a Hitler but could force the Irish to default and this could wreck the banks in Europe, this could lead to the raise of the extreme left and right, history does repeat itself. Thus Ireland should ask for a better deal or state it will default on its loans and cause a major banking collapse.

D Notice = In this Day and Age!
Guy Fawkes Blog: Reports that the UK Government has placed a block on the UK media reporting on what is about to be released by WikiLeaks, a D - Notice. As this blog is all for National Security one would expect one not to report a D - Notice, but in this day and age, will it work, if in the Oval Office and 10 Downing Street would be asking why the CIA and MI6 didn’t prevent these leaks in the first place. This blog will not report military secrets no matter what, but should some juicy diplomatic secrets come along and they are reported in the US as in the liberal New York Times then that is pushing sanity beyond this blog’s ability to conform. Lets see who breaks the stories, very hard to prevent news getting out these days folks.
The Secrets of War
The Daily Mail: Reports that WikiLeaks has more US secrets to release to the general public. One has to ask what is the CIA or MI6 doing to stop these State secrets being released, this blog is all for freedom of information but while Wars are still going there is a need for secrecy, thus years after a conflict comes to an end then its good to get the information out but these leaks might lead to negative diplomatic and military consequences, the article states that the Coalition PM David Cameron has been informed of the content of these leaks, lets hope there is nothing in the cupboard that needs to kept there. You cant have a War if the other side gets your secrets before the political leaders.
Labour vs. Labour over AV VOTE - Civil War
Guardian: Reports on the split in the Labour Party between Ed Miliband the new Labour Leader and leading Labour ex Cabinet Ministers from the Blair and Brown years, the issue is the AV vote, “ Red - Brutus “ Miliband supports AV, the Labour Establishment headed by David Blunkett says NO. If you believe that one vote counts as much as another vote you will oppose AV, a BNP vote ( a Racist Party ) would be worth more than one vote, as in AV the voter for example can state a preference of 1234 etc, thus if the BNP is 4 and after the first round of voting their votes are shared to other parties, thus more important than those that get 1st choice. THUS TO STOP RACIST VOTERS, VOTE AGAINST AV.
Pressure on Portugal ?
Telegraph: Reports that Portugal is coming under pressure to accept a EU/IMF bailout as way to save Spain from going down the drain. Thus its very ironic to this old political cynic that Irish, and now Portugal leaders it seems are willing to finish their political careers to keep the French and Germans happy, what was the point of World War One and Two! That was a joke folks up to a point, the problem is folks is that the European Elite of politicians have bought a dud, that being the EURO, they have over sold it, most of them see Europe as the next stage of their political careers, lets recall the Dark Prince after being booted out of the Cabinet twice later went on to work in Europe before coming back to serve under PM Gordon Brown. Lets also recall Europe is good for the bank balance for ex politicians, it’s a gravy train, that is why the like Europe, the people that suffer are the electors. Thus will the good people of Portugal allow Berlin to run their Country.
The EU and Portugal
BBC News: Reports that both the EU and Portugal has denied that a bailout is in the works after the bailout of Ireland. This could be true folks, do politicians ever lie ?, but also lets look at the case of Ireland, for a very long time Ireland denied it needed a bailout but was forced by the EU to take a bailout as its debts had caused Portugal and Spain to pay more for leading from the bond market. The Irish bailout is on a cliff folks, its open to question if the Irish Parliament will pass the needed austerity package that was a condition of the EU/IMF bailout. Thus it can be argued that the bond markets will bet against Portugal and that Portugal will also need a bailout, money talks folks, greed is good!

Spain and Portugal = NEXT ?
Guardian: Reports that the bond market has shown that it has great concern about Spain and Portugal following the footsteps of Ireland. As noted in NYT a few weeks ago there is the worry that Ireland, Spain and Portugal will have to be bailed out at the same time. The question that has to be asked will the German tax payer be willing to bailout all three countries. There comes a point when you have to say NO, and restart the structure from scratch and write off the debts. The Bond market would take this hit not the tax payer, in this process the EU just might be saved, also the Euro just might breath for a few more years, do the politicians have the nerve to be that bold.

US Military BACK UP to South Korea
Telegraph: Reports that the US has sent military back up to South Korea, it has sent the US Aircraft Carrier USS Washington. Thus far no more shells from North Korea, one can postulate that its BIG neighbour China has had a quiet word with the Stalinist Leadership of North Korea. It can be argued that China does not want to see South Korea or Japan go nuclear, thus they have told North Korea to cease hits military threat to South Korea at the present, as to the future the Obama Administration will have pay off North Korea, some kind of dollar bailout, its cheaper than having a nuclear war in the region, that’s the lesson of North Korea, they are a nuclear armed power, they have an Ace, that is why Iran cant be allowed to get the bomb.
Criminal Damage of Police Van - No Action!
BBC News: Reports that a Police Van has been damaged by Tuition Fees protesters. What in the earth is the Met doing, they look like weak idiots, time to put the boot in to these criminal elements, start to read the RIOT ACT, make arrests, show that Law and Order is not down to the great unwashed students of this great Country. Get your finger out MET.
Thus Far Republicans PICK UP 63 - House
The New York Times Blog: Reports that the Republicans thus far have picked up 63 House Seats. This is a second chance for Republicans, they should not blow this chance, the voters want the House to block the vast Liberal Agenda of the Obama White House, thus the first Bill that the new House should pass is to repeal ObamaCare, make the Democrats in the Senate block this or if they are smart get POTUS to VETO the bill. In 2012 most of the US Senators up for re-election are from moderate to conservative states thus these politicians will have a choice, after seeing what happened to moderate and blue dog Democrats do they want to flush their political careers down the toilet, that is the stark choice these Senators face. Lets see if they have the BALLS to say No to POTUS.

The Irish are COMING!! - Bailout Fallout
The Daily Mail: Reports on comments by the Coalition PM David Cameron that if Ireland fails then the UK could face Irish jobseekers coming to the UK to gain employment. In other words the UK has to make the Irish bailout work, the reform of the welfare system cant work if the UK has a massive increase of Irish workers, it can be argued that these new workers will undercut British workers and will take jobs that the Brits don’t wan to do, as with previous workers coming in to the UK. Thus lets hope the Irish bailout works, this blog has its doubts, there is still Spain and Portugal out there folks.
Irish Government Meltdown!
Telegraph: Reports on the falling apart of the Irish Coalition Government and the threat of an early election and that the Irish Parliament will not pass its Austerity Budget as a condition of the EU/IMF bailout. It time for the Irish politicians to grown up, if Dublin wants a bailout from the EU/IMF/UK then it has to have a severe austerity budget, it does not have any options, it could default on its debt but that would throw the Irish economy back in to the stone age and take the EU with it, the good years are over folks, the politicians of Ireland have committed economic treason, they have sold Irish Sovereignty so they are liked by fellow EU countries. The cost will not fall on the shoulders of the politicians or the bankers it never does, that is the real world, the good Irish people will face European contempt for a while, but they will get up, clean off the mess of humiliation and move on, the Irish always come back, but lets hope they have learned an important lesson, don’t trust the EU.
Missile Threat REACTION from South Korea
BBC News: Reports that South Korea will react with missile launches should North Korea carry out further attacks on its Sovereignty. Thus the big question folks WHY, the general opinion is that the attack is connected with the succession fight in North Korea, it’s the old Dynasty pushing away any threat, showing its still got the will and the power to threaten the region. But it has to be asked does the North Korean Armed Forces as a whole want to keep the dynasty at the cost of the destruction of North Korea, as the place is closed to the outside world, any theory is valid. It can be argued that North Korea wants a Ireland type bailout, this attack was meant to get the red lights going around the world, well that worked, thus the question what next, if this was planned then North Korea wants some money, if not that simple and there is a fight within North Korean leadership then there could be more attacks, the hours and days will tell the tale, either outcome could happen folks.
Obama on North Korea
The White House: Reports on the reaction of the Obama White House to the shelling of South Korea by North Korea. The White House states the following, “ Earlier today North Korea conducted an artillery attack against the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong. We are in close and continuing contact with our Korean allies. The United States strongly condemns this attack and calls on North Korea to halt its belligerent action and to fully abide by the terms of the Armistice Agreement. The United States is firmly committed to the defense of our ally, the Republic of Korea, and to the maintenance of regional peace and stability. ” One reason for the shelling could be the fact that North Korea sees that Ireland gets a hundred billion Euro bailout for going broke, the mindset in North Korea might be how much will POTUS pay to keep North Korea quiet, fifty billion or even a hundred billion dollars, this is just a guess folks, but a very good guess, North Korea is on the make and it shows its hunger with this military shelling. The problem is should North Korea attack for a second time, then South Korea might take action, that is the threat from South Korea, thus Obama needs to show a VERY big STICK and make it clear to North Korea that the South and the US can only be pushed so far, after a certain point all bets are off. God help the Communist North should that point ever be reached, even China might not be able to save them.

New Nuclear Plant - North Korea
Fox News: Reports a new sophisticated nuclear plant in North Korea. This is the latest insult to the Obama Administration, as with Bush 43 the Stalinist leadership in North Korea is hitting the US with a wet fish, the North Koreans know that the US cant really do anything, North Korea is nuclear armed power with the ability to place warheads on smalls missiles than can hit South Korea and Japan. This is the ultimate nuclear blackmail, the West will have to pay North Korea off to keep quiet. But lets get real here folks, POTUS has to look forward to the 2012 Presidential Election, his Appeasement of North Korea and Iran will come back to haunt him in 2012, what if Iran gets the bomb before the election, what will Obama do, and in many respects what will Israel do, should North Korea sell its know how to Iran they could get a nuclear missile in under a year, thus Obama will be faced with a choice, either the US takes out the threat or Israel will, the failure to deal with North Korea should be a lesson when it comes to Iran.
Civil War in Labour, Miliband vs. The Dark Prince
Mail on Sunday: Reports on the war of words between Ed Miliband and the Dark Prince Lord Mandelson, it seems that the Dark Prince I not happy that “ Brutus “ Miliband told him in essence to take himself off to an old peoples home. The Dark Prince one of the founders of New Labour does not want to his creation thrown in to the bin, it can be argued that New Labour as an election machine was top rate, it won three elections, but the question that Labour has to ask after Iraq is New Labour a negative or a positive. It can be argued that New Labour works with the right leader, thus Tony Blair won the 2005 Election even with Iraq front and centre. The question that Labour has to ask is Ed Miliband the right leader to be the successor to New Labour, if the answer is NO then they have to get rid of him and get his brother David Miliband in as the new leader, lets recall D Miliband did win the majority of MPs and of Labour supporters, E Miliband only won due to the Trade Unions. Lets hope Labour does not make the same mistake as they did with Gordon Brown, they could have gotten rid of him but decided to go down with the ship thus the defeat in 2010.
80 Billion pounds BAILOUT for Ireland
Telegraph: Reports that Ireland will ask for a bailout of up to 100 billion Euros, that around 85 billion pounds. Thus this bailout will cover the banks and the Government debt, the price folks, that is a lot worse than the UK austerity package of the UK Government, they are even cutting the minimum wage folks, this will hit the poor, but this is the sad part it just might help the economy, a minimum wage is all well and good when the economy is going great but when your in the recession the minimum wage can throw older workers out of work, if your in business and you have to pay someone younger less of a wage than a older person you will get rid of that old person. This is the real world folks, it has to be asked should the UK also balance out its minimum wage, thus its costs an employer the same to hire and older person as someone younger, in these hard time folks the question has to be asked, how many older workers are thrown on the dole due to the fact of their age.
Ireland BETRAYED
Guardian: The Guardian writes the following on the Irish Leaders in Dublin “… who shipwrecked the economy and then capsized the lifeboats. ”. This blog is calling for a new European Law that will place political leaders on trial should they cause their countries to go down the toilet, now just a hollow law but a real law, with prison time, even better hard time doing the roads. This kind of law would have a sobering effect on ALL politicians, they would take care with the economies of the voters, its time to make politicians pay the price for their disastrous policies, otherwise they get away with their pensions and the speaking circuit, what about Gordon Brown for the first trial.
YES Bailout for Ireland
BBC News: Reports that Ireland has finally gotten around to asking the EU/IMF for a bailout of its banks and Government deficit. Thus the question that has to be asked will this cure the problem or just place a very slight plaster over the economic wound of Ireland, how much will the UK have to give Ireland, the sum goes from around 7-8 billion pounds, all those savings from the Coalition cuts will go to Ireland, it’s a funny old world folks.

The Dirty Politics of the 1960 Election - JFK
BBC News: Andrew Marr looks at the dirty politics of the Kennedy Machine in 1960 from Kennedy’s win of the Democratic Nomination to the fight against Nixon. If you read all the books about the Kennedy and Nixon feud you can understand why Richard Nixon on one level envied JFK, the charm, the charisma etc but also hated him, lets be honest JFK didn’t invent dirty US politics but he did make it a science. Also there are the mob connections and the 1960 Democratic fight, its there but very hard to prove, but its interesting folks and we are still taking about the race, even Kennedy and Nixon would have liked that outcome.

Terror Trial Failure - The Obama Era
BBC News: Reports that the first terrorist from the Guantanamo Prison tried in US Civilian Court has been found guilty of only one count out of 286. This is a massive failure for the Obama Presidency, there are only so many defeats President Obama can take before he faces a challenge for the Democratic nomination in 2012. The NEW ERA of Obama that looked to place suspected terrorists in the US Civilian Court System has to come to an end, the Obama Administration has to place terrorists in Military Courts, what if this first Guantanamo Prisoner had been found not guilty of all the charges, Obama could have faced Impeachment by the Republican House in January, but in some respects Obama has been lucky one charge has worked but Obama cant count on that for the rest of the prisoners, thus POTUS should state that all those at Guantanamo will be tried by the US military and then the key will be throw away, Obama has to get tough or he will make Jimmy Carter look like a leader.
Death in Afghanistan
MOD: Reports that a UK Soldier was killed on Wednesday in Afghanistan, the Soldier was from the “ 1st Battalion Irish Guards serving with Combined Force Nahr-e Saraj (North) ”. Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 345 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 304 in combat operations and 41 due to illness, accidents or other incidents.

UK BAILOUT of Ireland ?
The Daily Mail: Reports that the UK could make direct loans to Ireland outside the EU/IMF loans. In many respects as the article points out if Ireland goes belly up then the UK will be in a major economic depression, the UK has billion pounds invested in Ireland, if the Irish default the UK taxpayer takes a major hit, but if we bailout out Ireland it can be expected that the Queen is given a great welcome should she visit Ireland next year, also what about making Prince William King of Ireland, that’s worth a few billion off the interest for the loans, if we charge Ireland any interest, as we cant afford Ireland to go broke the money will be given on the idea that the UK taxpayer never gets it back, thus expect a great supportive turnout next year for the State Visit of the Queen.

The Debt Markets vs. Ireland
Telegraph: Reports that the economic markets are not impressed by the stalling tactics of Ireland. It could get a lot worse for Ireland if it delays with the EU bailout of its economy, and more important for the UK it could cost the UK taxpayer more if the Irish have to be bullied in to taking the bailout. Its ironic but by stalling Ireland could have a very serious effect on the economies of Portugal and Spain, they could go over a cliff. The Irish should take the money and get over the political humiliation, the UK in the 1970s went through a similar process with the IMF, you learn your lessons and move on.
Irish Bailout ? If and When
BBC News: Reports that Ireland has not asked for a formal bailout, but will have talks about talks about a bailout. While Ireland talks the EURO could fall over a cliff, the worry about the Irish has caused the cost of borrowing to go up for such countries as Portugal and Spain, as the New York Times noted yesterday all three Countries might need to be bailed out as the same time, how much would that cost the UK taxpayer, thus far it looks like the UK will give Ireland between 6-7 Billion pounds, what are the chances that the UK will ever get it back, it seems that the Irish don’t want the public humiliation of turning over their economic sovereignty to the EU, but as the banks and the politicians of Ireland have bankrupted the nation, it might be in the interest of Ireland for EU to be in charge of the Irish State.
The New Power in Washington D.C vs. President Obama
White House: Reports that a planned meeting between Republican Congressional Leaders and the President has to be rescheduled. Due to other more important meetings that the Republicans have at the moment. This shows how the power has shifted in the Beltway folks, the Oval has to wait in till the Republicans have their Agenda agreed, this Agenda is not the OBAMA Agenda. The first issue will the be the Bush 43 tax cuts, the Republicans want ALL Americans to keep the tax cuts the Oval wants just those earning up to two hundred and fifty thousand to keep the tax cuts. As President Obama is planning for his Re - Election Campaign of 2012 he can not afford to be seen as a tax raiser in a recession thus he will have to cave to Republican demands for all the Bush 43 tax cuts to be kept in place. This will send former Speaker Pelosi in to a tail spin of left wing anger, but this might help POTUS, if he is seen as taking on his base this will look good to moderate and even some moderate Republicans, as a President once said, elections have consequences.

Ireland and Portugal, What about Spain ? - BAILOUT
The New York Times: Reports that both Ireland and Portugal might need to be rescued at the same time, also Spain as a major problem is on the horizon. This is getting ridicules folks, when does the EU say NO and allow a Sovereign Debt default, if your throwing good money down the toilet there will come a time when there is no money to misquote a former Labour Minister. The bad EU banks should be allowed to go broke and then those Countries economies should be run by the EU. Thus EU would decide the Budgets of these countries, as they are far away the political pressure wont be the same, they can be drastic, its time for the tough medicine folks, those black and white images of the Great Depression of the 1930s does come to mind.
Back to the BAD News - Ireland
Guardian: Reports the economic markets could take it badly if Ireland does not take the economic bailout from the EU. It seems that Ireland will not have a choice, it will have to take the bailout, this will be a major humiliation for the Irish, in many respects Ireland will give up its Sovereignty to the EU major powers, France and German. Also the UK will be out by seven billion pounds, but its money that has to be spent, if Ireland goes down it could send the UK in to a major recession.
The Royal Wedding in 2011 - Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton
BBC News: Reports on the news that Prince William of Wales is to marry his long term girlfriend Kate Middleton. This is great news for the Country folks, lets be honest there has not been a lot of good news of late form the Economy to Afghanistan, this will allow UK to come together and celebrate a great and happy day. GOOD NEWS DAY FOLKS.
Portugal and Ireland = BROKE!
Telegraph: Reports that Portugal could be next to go broke, the pressure is building on Portugal due to the negative news on Ireland. At the moment, Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain are the PIGS that have over eaten and could cause a collapse of the Euro, the question is what should the EU do and the UK. It is a self made EU problem, there is no economic centre in the EU, the EU does not control the budgets of this Euro countries, thus you have the power house of Germany that’s has to bail out the PIGS, the German tax payer is not to pleased, they have every right to be VERY unhappy. The UK has announced that it will support Ireland to the tune of seven Billion pounds. The UK does not have choice, if our close economic neighbour goes belly up we could have a major depression. Any good news, the handouts will either work or not, its that simple folk.

The Coalition Talks - UK
Mail on Sunday: Reports on the formation of the Coalition Government and how the Liberal Democrats didn’t want to be tied to Gordon Brown. By the 2015 election the Liberal Democrats will need the Conservative Party more than the Tories need them, one can postulate that Labour under Ed Miliband will never do a deal with Nick Clegg, thus the Liberal Democrat Leader needs this Coalition to work, thus it can be argued that the Coalition should last in till 2015. Read of the Day.
Israel vs. Obama Administration
Guardian: Reports that the Israeli Cabinet is split over the latest peace proposal from the Obama Administration, in essence Israel would freeze building in the West Bank while getting military and diplomatic sweets. Israel should follow the example of a Democratic Candidate for Rhode Island, Israel should tell Obama to SHOVE IT, the US Congress will always back Israel up, will overturn any Obama sanctions on Israel, also Obama is starting to worry about 2012, the boot is on another foot this time, its about time POTUS saw the real world not just his press statements.
Death in Afghanistan
MOD: Reports that on this Remembrance Sunday a Soldier was killed today in Afghanistan, the Soldier was from the “ 1st Battalion The Royal Irish Regiment ”. Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 344 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 303 in combat operations and 41 due to illness, accidents or other incidents. The latest accident victim was named as “ Senior Aircraftman Scott 'Scotty' Hughes, serving with Number 1 Squadron Royal Air Force Regiment ” who had just returned from Afghanistan. Our thoughts are with the family of Senior Aircraftman Hughes.
2012 Presidential Race - Latest Developments - YES 2010!
Telegraph: Reports that David Axelrod one of the men behind the Obama victory in 2008 is leaving the White House in 2011 to start up the re-election fight for 2012. The Republican takeover of the House must have finally gotten to the Oval, the 2012 race will be a lot harder for President Obama, the frenzy wont be there, Obama will have to run on his record, in the view of economists the boom years of the 80s and 90s that helped Reagan and Clinton wont come around for Obama, thus he will face a race with a high unemployment and massive US debt. But a lot can happen in two years, the economy could turn around, a moderate slow down of the unemploymed would help, Obama could solve the Middle East, Iran might make a deal, of course all these could get worse, higher unemployment, Iran has the bomb, Israel vs. Arab World, the usual folks. Two years is a long time folks, lot of water under the bridge.
Tax Split within Labour - Leader vs. Shadow Chancellor
BBC News: Reports on the admission by the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer Alan Johnson that there is a split between him and the new leader of the Party Ed Miliband when it comes to the policy of Graduate Tax in place of Tuition Fees and that the 50% tax bracket should be permanent. The new leader Ed Miliband support a Graduate tax and a the 50% tax bracket, while the Alan Johnson is opposed. It is odd that while in Government Alan Johnson would not stab PM Gordon Brown in the back, but in Opposition and on television he has stated that the Miliband Manifesto that allowed him to beat his brother can be binned, and that Labour does not have a policy for higher education funding or the tax rate. One can only say if this was Tony Blair at the height of New Labour he would be on the phone to Alastair Campbell his Spin Doctor going through the roof, this does recall the Civil War between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, lets recall Ed Miliband only won the Labour leadership with the support of the Unions, Labour leaders that do not perform can be axed more easily while they are in Opposition than in Government, might be worth a bet on the chances of Ed Miliband being the Labour Leader in 2015.

Tuition Fees and Liberal Democrats
Guardian: Reports that the Liberal Democrats before the UK General Election in 2010 planned to dump their pledge to get rid of Tuition Fees. At the end of the day the Liberal Democrats are tied to the Conservative Party, it is fortunate that that PM David Cameron and DPM Nick Clegg get on, the problem for Nick Clegg is the fact that Liberal Democrats members are to the left of him, they prefer lets be honest to be in opposition, well before the 2015 election the Liberal Democrats will need a electoral pact with the Conservative Party or they will face being wiped out in that election. Its time for Nick Clegg to start that foundations for this pact, so by the time of the 2015 election it feels natural to both political parties.
Ireland BROKE ?
Telegraph: Reports that Ireland could get a sixty eight billion pound bailout by the Weekend. Folks when do you say NO, when do Countries face the fact that they have to cut benefits, Western Europe has lived in a fantasy for years, that benefits could grow, people would live longer, that taxes could be low, lets not even discuss Defence, there comes a time when you have to see the real world, the bankers have done a runner with our money, the welfare structure allows for generations of families to live on benefits with no prospects for jobs, that taxes can be low, that health care will keep people living longer and that is will not cost, it will cost, the UK structural debt was in the billions before the banks become crooks, thus Western Europe is bankrupt, the we have start a new model. A REAL MODEL, if we have NHS then those that are rich have to pay, even the middle class should pay for cosmetic operations, if you want to live in till you 150 you have to pay for that fact, that means that you have to work in till you 70 - 75 then you get the full benefits, if you give up work at 60-65 you get to the NHS but you don’t get to live to reach your 200 birthday, you don’t get the drugs at its most basic. If you want a welfare state then you either get people to pay more for the NHS or you raise taxes on all people, there are only so many rich people. Also if you want a strong defence then something has to give, lower benefits or alliances with other countries, if you’re the UK it will have to be France GOD help us. That is the real world folks.

43% Approval for POTUS - Gallup
Gallup: Reports that President Obama has a 43% Approval rating, while 49% Disapprove of the job performance of President Obama. This is why 2012 look good for Republicans, the Obama magic has gone, the Mid Terms was a disaster for Democrats, also the idea to send Obama out of the country after the results was not a good idea, the G20 was a failure, the other political leaders tend to follow domestic American politics, if they didn’t fear Obama when the Democrats controlled the White House and Congress they will not fear him at the moment, its nice to be liked but fear is more powerful in the international system. They might see Obama as a one term President, in other words they can roll him, Obama by his arrogance and elite view of the world has removed a great weapon of the US Presidency , that is fear, so from trade to nuclear weapons who really fears Obama, Iran, South Korea have the measure of President Obama, and he is no JFK or Reagan.

The Politics of Tuition Fees - Nick Clegg
Telegraph: Reports that the DPM Nick Clegg regrets opposing tuition fees while in Opposition. That is the problem for the Liberal Democrats, since 1922 with the exception of WW2 and the National Government of the 1930s the Liberals have not had to deal with real politics, they could jump on any popular opposition course while knowing they didn’t have to govern, NOW its is different, they are part of a Coalition Government, their words have consequences, thus this should be lesson to Ed Miliband the new Labour Leader, while in Opposition be careful what you oppose it might come back to hit you on the backside should you return to Government. The students of today will have to follow the US model, they will have work, no longer a free handout from the Government, if they want to blame anyone look at Labour, they left no money behind.
1st Republican Debate of 212 at Reagan Presidential Library
The New York Times Blog: Reports that the 1st Republican Debate of the Presidential Election of 2012 will be held at the Reagan Presidential Library in 2011. In was very interesting seeing the debate in 2008, the Reagan Library holds the old Air Force One, the one used by President Reagan. The contenders for the Republican nomination will be able to look up and see the PRIZE, Air Force One and Marine One and the Limo. Its far to early to say who is in the running, the eventual winner might just have got elected to the Congress or is a new State Governor, miles to go folks, politics has just got fun with a Republican House.

Police HURT in Student Violence - Tuition Fees
Guardian: Reports that two police officers have been injured while doing their duty in removing the student protesters from Conservative HQ. It time make arrests, throw people in cells for a few days, law and order has to preserved. These great unwashed, well they are students should be revising for their exams, not being in London for a day out. This Correspondent in late 1980s went on a student march, students protest all the time, had a nice cup of tea in the House of Commons with my local MP.
The HISTORY of University Funding
Telegraph: Reports on the history of University funding, and how Labour under Tony Blair bought in Tuition Fees. It was New Labour that let the cat out of the bag with tuition fees, it also under New Labour that the UK was bought close to going bankrupt. The great unwashed of the demo in London should protest outside the door of Tony Blair, the Coalition Government is clearing up the mess of New Labour under Blair and Brown. Read of the Day.
Time for the Riot Police - Tuition Fees Demo
BBC News: Reports on the tuition fees demonstration that has turned violet with the smashing of the windows of the Conservative HQ and also students storming in to the building. Its time to read the Riot Act and then send in the Riot Police, all demonstrators that have broken the law should be arrested and the book thrown at them, a criminal record will prevent these thugs from working in the public sector. The UK is not France, come down hard and fast on violent actions by demonstrators.

Obama on Jerusalem Building
President Obama has stated the following on the new building in Jerusalem, “ ..But this kind of activity is never helpful when it comes to peace negotiations. And I’m concerned that we’re not seeing each side made the extra effort involved to get a breakthrough that could finally create a framework for a secure Israel living side and side -- side by side in peace with a sovereign Palestine. We’re going to keep on working on it, though, because it is in the world’s interest, it is in the interest of the people of Israel, and it is in the interest of the Palestinian people to achieve that settlement, to achieve that agreement. But each of these incremental steps can end up breaking down trust between the parties. ”. At the end of the day the Middle East will only be solved when those in the Middle East want peace, its not for a Harvard Lawyer with no international political experience to force the sides or throw a close ally in the shape of Israel to the wolves so he looks good the liberal New York Times and the UK Guardian. If Obama does try to force Israel to make concessions then Obama will be a one term President, also as stated many a time the US Congress both Democrats and Republicans will support Israel, the only real Democracy in the region. In many respects Obama is turning in to Carter 11, who will be Reagan 11, that is the question folks.
Jerusalem Building and the Middle East Peace Process
The New York Times: Reports on new building in the Capital of Israel Jerusalem, the US is has been critical of the move by Israel. The Obama Administration on this occasion can be ignored by Israel, the old and new Congress will always support Israel over any sanction placed by President Obama. The 2010 Mid Term Elections have consequences on the domestic and international front, any sanction move by Obama will be overturned by the Congress, on this issue both Republicans and Democrats are united in their support of Israel. Thus should POTUS try to place pressure on Israel the Israeli’s will go to Congress and get support for nearly any action, even bombing Iran, in fact the Republican Congress that takes over in January would give Israel a Medal if they bomb Iran. As a President once said, “ Elections have Consequences ” wonder which President stated that, YES it was President Obama.
Civil War in Labour - The Woolas Case
Guardian: Reports that the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Harriet Harman was giving a right roasting by her fellow Labour MPs for her actions in throwing Phil Woolas out of the Labour Party due to an Election Court decision that he had lied about his Liberal Democrat opponent in the General Election and thus should lose his Seat in the House of Commons. On this occasion Labour MPs are right, the legal process is still on going, the Deputy Leader after her ginger rodent remark should be careful what she says in public or Labour Leader Ed Miliband will have to give her a personal spin master, it could be a full time job. Of course Labour MPs could decide to challenge Ms Harman for her post, it seems that Labour MPs did not like that the Labour Leadership would throw one of their own under the bus without much of a review, thus don’t be surprised if Ms Harriet “ I am no Ginger “ Harman is given the order of the Royal boot by her fellow MPs.
Brown Indirect ATTACK on Tony Blair
Telegraph: Reports on an indirect political attack on Tony Blair by his successor Gordon Brown, the former PM was critical of leaders who broke their promise to step down after two terms. The Blair Camp would argue that Tony Blair was quite willing to step down before the 2005 election as long as his Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown followed through with the New Labour Agenda of Tony Blair. The argument between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown comes down to a disagreement on a promise by Tony Blair to step down as long as Gordon Brown followed through with the New Labour Agenda, by 2005 it was clear to then PM Tony Blair that he could not trust Brown to follow through on reform thus his decision to run in 2005. Both men heard different things, Blair heard a promise to carry on his Agenda while Brown heard the promise to step down, neither side in the end heard each other, they heard what was important to them and their camps.
Bush 43 and Torture

UK Troops NOT leaving Afghanistan in 2011 ? - MOD
Telegraph: Reports that UK Chief of the Defence Staff General Sir David Richards has suggested that the planned limited withdrawal of UK troops next year might be off the cards. Lets be clear folks the Coalition PM David Cameron wants out of Afghanistan, this MOD attempt at policy reversal is due to the perceived failure in Iraq, the MOD does not want to give the impression that it has lost another War and that the Yanks, sorry our American Cousins will have finish the War by themselves. Thus 10 Downing Street should come down hard on the MOD, its the PM that decides policy not the Army Chiefs, Afghanistan is a bloody mess, it will always be a bloody mess, how may British Soldiers will have to die for a failed policy.

2012 Presidential Election and Gov. Pawlenty
The Hill: Reports that Gov Pawlenty (R) of Minnesota has stated that ObamaCare shoud be repealed and that his State will fight its introduction. The 2012 Presidential race starts straight after the Mid Term Election folks, Governor Pawlenty is a contender for the nomination, there will be a lot more folks, if Obama is self defeating then the 2012 nomination looks like a great next step for an ambitious Republican, a lot of water to go under the bridge folks, lets see who is the running by January of 2012.
His own EG0, His DOWNFALL in 2012 ? - President Obama
Telegraph: Reports that Republican Leaders on the Hill want to keep the political attention President Obama, the article states the following, “ Republicans will be greatly assisted by Obama's ego and his belief that he is not just any president but a great one – a Reagan of the Left. ”. Thus any political blame for the freeze on the Hill will be on the Oval and not on the Republicans. In 1982 Reagan lost 26 Seats in the House while keeping the Senate, while Clinton lost 52 in the House thus losing the House for the first time in half a century, also the Senate was in the hands of the Republicans. How did these two great political Presidents come back, the Agenda of tax cuts, smaller government and big defence spending helped create an economic boom for Reagan thus the defeat of Walter Mondale in 1984 by 49 States to 1, and 59% of the vote and 525 electoral votes. Also in 1988 Reagan lifted a finger to get his VP elected in the shape of Bush 41. In the case of Bill Clinton he didn’t want just to be a one term President, so he moved to the centre, passed bills that the Republicans could support, the economy that had been in a recession turned around, thus Clinton won big in the 1996 election, but it should be noted as in 1992 Clinton only got 49% of the vote. When VP Gore ran in 2000 with a booming economy he had to hide Bill Clinton due to the Impeachment of Clinton, thus in most cases Gore should have won easily in 2000 but he was stuck with Clinton while Bush 41 had Reagan, a beloved President thus a great positive for Bush 41. Thus we come to President Obama, the Republicans will force him to agree to tax cuts for ALL Americans not just those earning up to two hundred and fifty thousand, they will force the Democrats to either stall the repeal of ObamaCare in the Senate or force Obama to VETO the repeal, also the jobless recovery is not great, at present the unemployment rate stands at 9.6%. Thus advice to POTUS, run to the centre right on taxes, be the champion of tax cuts for all Americans, reform health care reform, be the man of new ideas, change of image of elite arrogance, be tough Iran, support Israel, Czech Republic and Poland. In other words ditch the arrogance or you wont be a Reagan or a Clinton, you will be another Carter, does the President have the ability to see the future or he set on defeat.

Why Bush won over Gore in 2000 - You like HIM ?
The New York Times: Ms Dowd reviews the memoirs of Bush 43, in a way she is also describing why Bush 43 won over VP Gore in 2000, Ms Dowd states the following on the memoirs of Bush 43, “…….deftly crafted and utterly selective new memoir……after I finished reading it, I was ready to vote for the guy. ”. It was noted during the 2000 election folks that Bush 43 was the type of guy you could have a drink with if you were a man while women would want to date him, a classic example that was used that if Gore came to pick you up for a date he would arrive on time and wait for you arrive, Bush 43 would crash on the grass and hoot the horn for you to get in the car! You have to like the President, at some level the guy in the Oval has to connect to the folks, that is the problem that Obama has at the present, he is seen as arrogant and elite, no everyone has gone to Harvard Law! Ms Dowd notes all the usual negatives about Bush 43 but also in way explains why Bush 43 served two terms, while Bush 41 served only one, in a way Bush 43 was the heir to Reagan not his father.
You LOSE an ELECTION, Do you Go ? - Brown and Pelosi ?
Guardian: Interesting article in the left wing Guardian that argues that Liberal Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi should resign after losing the House. The case of Nancy Pelosi is interesting, it follows the example of Gordon Brown, yes Mr Brown did resign as Labour Leader but he still an MP, when he turns up to the House of Commons its an EVENT, could be wrong but its about three to four times so far since the election, and one of them was to be sworn in and get paid. Why do defeat leaders hang on ?, the last Labour Leader Tony Blair when he left resigned as an MP on the same day, when your OUT your OUT. As the Guardian notes the mere presence of Nancy Pelosi will be of great help to the Republicans, they will argue that President Obama cant change as long as he has extreme liberals on his back in the House, another great win for the Republicans.

Alternative Vote and the Labour Party
Guardian: Reports that the Labour Party will not Campaign in 2011 for a YES vote in the AV Referendum. This will be an interesting process to watch folks, you will have the Conservative Party that will oppose the change in the voting system, they Labour Party will be split and the only Party that will be 100% behind the move will be the Liberal Democrats who in the last poll had about 9% support. As the Referendum will be held on the same day as the elections in Scotland, Wales ( in Wales the voters will also have a choice if the Welsh Assembly should have more power ) and also Council Elections, one can postulate that the voter will be confused and very annoyed that it has to makes so many decisions, in other words as of now the Liberal Democrats could find themselves very disappointed if the result is a NO.
1911 - 2010 Slander and the Polls ?
Telegraph: Reports on the last case in 1911 when a MP was thrown out of the House of Commons by a UK Court. That’s the one thing about politics, nothing is that new, and in the case of the UK the past can be more fun and interesting. Read of the Day.
44% Approval for POTUS - After the Mid Terms
Gallup: Reports on its latest daily tracking poll on the job performance of President Obama, at present POTUS has a 44% approval rating, while 48% disapprove of the job performance of President Obama. As long as the economy is not creating jobs the Obama approval ratings are going to be below 50%, from the US news reports it seems that President Obama will do a deal to extend the Bush 43 tax cuts to all Americans, this when a deal is made should help President Obama. The political problem for President Obama will come when the Republicans retake the House in January and pass a Bill to revoke ObamaCare, will the Senate Democrats take the blame and stall the Bill or will they allow the Bill to pass and make Obama Veto the Bill. If you’re a Democratic Senator running in 2012 you don’t not want to have to defend ObamaCare, lets see how the Senate Democrats jump.
Are you Still an MP Mr Woolas ?
BBC News: Reports on the first electoral case of its kind in 99 years, an election in the UK General Election of 2010 had been voided by the UK Courts due to the allegation that the sitting MP Phil Woolas a former Labour Minister had made false allegations against his opponent, the Case goes to Appeal. The Labour Party has ditched Mr Woolas, if the Appeal by Mr Woolas fails this will be the first by election of the new Coalition Governemnt, as the Seat is a safe Labour seat the Labour Party should win, but the circumstances of the case might just allow a surprise, interesting case folks, how many in US Congress would pass this test.
The Arrogance of Power - Nancy Pelosi
The New York Times: Reports that outgoing Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to the Lead the Democrats in January when the Republicans take control of the House. The Oval if it wants a second term should make sure that Nancy Pelosi goes down to defeat, lets be honest Liberal Speaker Nancy Pelosi after pushing health care through is held in contempt by a majority of the US electorate. As of now the Republicans have taken 240 Seats in the House a gain of 61 Seats while the Democrats are on 187 down 61 Seats with a few House Seats still outstanding. The reason for the loss in part was that the Liberal Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed heath care reform through when a majority of voters opposed the move, also the Democrats didn’t not create jobs. Thus if President Obama wants to clear the decks for the 2012 election he does not need the Republicans to use Nancy Pelosi as a classic example of the Obama Administration out of control, thus in pure harsh political terms POTUS should make sure that a moderate takes over from Pelosi or it will show that Obama is not Bill Clinton when dealing with real politics.

Reagan vs. Obama - Mid Terms
The Democrats have mentioned Ronald Reagan as a case example of a President who has a bad Mid Terms and comes back to win big, in 1982 Reagan stated the following on the Mid Term losses of 26 on November 3rd 1982 “ Our target in the one House had been, as we said, somewhere between 17 and 27. Well, apparently it's turned out between 17 and 27 that we've lost in the House, but the main point is, and we're gratified, that we have not only maintained control of the Senate but that when we started 2 years ago we had 53, and we now have 54 Republican Senators. And we look forward to working with this Congress now in a bipartisan fashion to solving the major problems that still have to be solved…….But let me just say, first of all, there's a smile on our faces, and intentionally so. If you look traditionally at what has happened in a situation of this kind, we have every reason to feel good. A President, newly elected and who has brought in with him one house of the legislature -- or the Congress in his election -- this is the first time since 1928 that he has not lost, 2 years later, that House majority that he brought in with him. The average in times of economic stress -- the average loss in this 2-year election is 46. We feel very good about what's happened. Sure, we'd like to have won everything, but we knew we weren't going to.” Thus President Obama over the last two years has had the White House, the House and the Senate, in effect due to the need of 60 votes in the Senate to get any movement the Hill is gone, thus although the Democrats kept the Senate this is very much like 1994 with Obama facing a choice, keep to his ideology or make a move to the centre, the Guardian notes the following on the election defeat, “ one of the worst Democratic election defeats in 70 years.” The President at the Press Conference gave the impression that the defeat hadn’t really hit him yet, when the Republicans simply say NO to his Agenda and he cant move it, the real political horror will hit him, Reagan in his press conference turned the issue in to a positive, they had kept the losses in the House to below the norm, also they had added a Senator, Obama didn’t have that to say, one gets the feeling that Obama still has YES MEN around him that don’t want to tell him the political truth, if he wants a second term he will have to pull ObamaCare, that’s the choice, in political life you sometimes get such a simple choice.
The POWER - The New Republican Congress
BBC News: Reports on the new power in the House of Representatives, from the Speaker Elect John Boehner to the stars of the Republican Congress, Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor. For the left wing BBC quite a fair review of their careers. Read of the Day.
The Oval and the Mid Term Elections
Reports that President Obama has telephoned the new Speaker - Elect of the House of Representatives Rep. Boehner, the President stated the following to the successful Republicans “ looking forward to working with him and the Republicans to find common ground, move the country forward and get things done for the American people. ”. The Oval has one chance to get this right off the mark, the President has a choice, he can look the American voter in the eye and admit that health care reform was passed without their approval and will be reformed and the Bush 43 tax cuts will be extended for all, or he can be arrogant and think that the US voter is simple and that he has to lead them to voter, that he will not move from his liberal agenda and will just fight the Congress for the next two years. The problem when you look at Obama is the fact that he has not shown that he has the pragmatic skills of a Reagan or Bill Clinton, he has shown the arrogance of Jimmy Carter, also he seems not to have that REAGAN connection with the US voter, thus we shall what Obama is made off over the next few months, the wrong path and one term President in 2012.
The Mid Terms and the Senate
The New York Times: Reports on the latest results, the Democrats on 51 Seats hold the Senate while the Republicans are on 46, a gain of six. There are three more States to announce the result. Although the Republicans didn’t take the Senate they control what can get through, to move anything in the Senate you need 60 votes, if the Republicans keep together then the Senate is frozen. The real problem is for Democratic Senators that represent Conservative or Moderate States, will they prevent a Bill that revokes ObamaCare, will they uphold a Presidential veto by the Obama White House. In 2012 a majority of Democrats are up for re - election, are they willing to be flushed down the toilet to save the Obama Presidency. Its fun time again folks on the Hill.
The Mid Term Results - The Day After Part Three
The New York Times: Reports on the results on the 2010 Mid Term Elections, in the House the Republicans are on 239 Seats a gain of over sixty seats, the Democrats are on 183 with 13 Seats still to announce their results. In the House this a great result for the Republicans, it gives the House Republicans the mandate to bury the Obama Agenda. The 1st Bill out of the House should be a Bill to revoke ObamaCare, force the Senate Democrats to kill the bill or even better get President Obama to VETO the bill. Any big spending bills by the Oval are dead in the water, the Republicans in the House should go for smaller government reforms, low taxes, strong defence, all things that Obama is weak on before the 2012 elections. One Party rule is over folks, the founding fathers would be proud of the voter.

The GUIDE for the Night - Mid Term Elections
Guardian: A Guide to the 2010 Mid Terms, when to watch for latest poll results. If you’re a political geek its your night! Read of the Day.
Will Obama hurt Hillary Clinton in 2012 or 2016 ?
Telegraph: Has an interesting article that argues that a damaged Obama Presidency will hurt the political future of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the article states the following, “ The last 21 months have been a period of marked US decline, both at home and abroad,….”. The weakness of the Obama Presidency from its cowering appeasing of Iran to its hostile policy towards Poland, Czech Republic due to its restart policy with the Russian Bear has not gotten the Oval much in return, while Israel has been hung out dry by an Obama Presidency who thinks its press statements are the 10 Commandments. In many respects on reading the Jimmy Carter Diary one can see the arrogance of Jimmy Carter in the nature of President Obama. Thus the question Bill Clinton will be asking is when should Secretary Clinton knife Obama in the back, resign over Israel or Iran and run against him in 2012, do a Reagan of 1976. The one problem for the first " Black " President Bill Clinton is the fact that the African - American vote in the Democratic Party is very powerful, can Secretary Clinton afford to dump Obama without some political costs, or does Secretary Obama go down to defeat with Obama in 2012 and refuse his offer of the VP spot and then run in 2016, one of the best political operators is Bill Clinton, he will watch the returns tonight with great interest and looking at the political clock.
The Day After Part 2
The New York Times Blog: Reports that the day after the Mid Term Elections President Obama will hold a press conference to state that he understand the point of the election returns, the President will call for end of the political division and for the Parties to work together. In other words the Oval still does not get it, if Obama was serious about learning from the election defeat he would say that HE was sorry for going beyond his mandate and not stressing jobs, jobs and jobs, the problem with the Oval is the view that the US voter is thick and this vote in the Mid Terms is frightened vote, that if the voter had a brain cell they would see that the Obama’s economic package has saved jobs even with the unemployment at 9.6%. Also that health care reform is just as it covers those that didn’t have cover at the expense of those that do have cover, such as those that are old and those on a low level wage. If this is the Obama response to the Mid Term Election defeat he will join the club of one term Presidents, he will be another Jimmy Carter.

The Day After - November 3rd
Guardian: Reports that the Oval is getting read for the day after November 2nd, the article states the following on the expect result, “… the worst Democratic election results for a generation, a shift that could leave Washington gridlocked. ” . The problem for the Oval and the West Wing is that they are asking the wrong questions, Obama seems to think that if he had given another speech on health care reform then the thick US voter would get the fact that is was good for them, POTUS has to get beyond his how arrogance, that will be hard with a group YES men in the White House, Obama needs to clear his staff and bring in some veteran Washington types who can take him by the labels and wake him up and are not afraid of him and don’t think he is the smartest man in the room. Thus does Obama want a second term, if the Democrats on the Hill get the impression that Obama does not really care they will bury ObamaCare as fast as they can, those up for re-election in 2012 do not want lose their Seats due to arrogant and elite President who going down the toilet in 2012. Thus the question that Obama has to asked, does he want a second term, no other questions matter, it’s a simple YES/NO.
Latest House Projection - RCP
RCP: Reports on its latest House projection, the Republicans are on 224, while the Democrats have 167, there are 44 Seats that could go either way on Tuesday. Lets say for argument sake that all 44 50/50 Seats go to the Republicans, thus the Republicans would have 268 while Democrats would be stuck on 167, this would be a massive win for the Republicans and the Tea party movement, it would give the Republicans the Mandate to block the Obama Agenda, so no more spending by Obama, it would force POTUS to go to the centre or to his right if he wants any movement on the Hill. Thus the question that all commentators have asked can the Oval move to the centre as Bill Clinton moved in 1994, that will show the political quality of President Obama, is not when your Party controls the Presidency and the Hill that shows the power of the Oval, its when the Oval has to cut deals with the opposition party or face a frozen two years. President Obama has only two years to get his act together or face defeat in 2012.
