Trump White House responds to POTUS being found NOT GUILTY by the US Senate - US Election 2020

This blog has not covered the impeachment as the result was known in advance and the fact that the Democrats would have found any reason to impeach Trump!

The White House: The Statement by the White House Press Secretary, " Today, the sham impeachment attempt concocted by Democrats ended in the full vindication and exoneration of President Donald J. Trump. As we have said all along, he is not guilty. The Senate voted to reject the baseless articles of impeachment, and only the President’s political opponents – all Democrats, and one failed Republican presidential candidate – voted for the manufactured impeachment articles.

In what has now become a consistent tradition for Democrats, this was yet another witch-hunt that deprived the President of his due process rights and was based on a series of lies.  Rep. Adam Schiff lied to Congress and the American people with a totally made up statement about the President’s phone call.  Will there be no retribution?  Speaker Nancy Pelosi also lied to the American people about the need to swiftly pass impeachment articles they dreamt up, only to sit on them for a month before sending over to the Senate.  In the Senate, the Democrats continued to make their political motivations clear – Rep. Schiff proclaimed the issues “cannot be decided at the ballot box” – proving once again they think they know better than the voters of this country.  This entire effort by the Democrats was aimed at overturning the results of the 2016 election and interfering with the 2020 election.

Throughout this wholly corrupt process, President Trump successfully advanced the interests of the United States and remained focused on the issues that matter to Americans.  He spent his time achieving real victories for the people of this country, and the Democrats – once again – have nothing to show for their fraudulent schemes. The President is pleased to put this latest chapter of shameful behavior by the Democrats in the past, and looks forward to continuing his work on behalf of the American people in 2020 and beyond.  "

The Democrats hatred of Trump has made them lose the plot, the Mueller Report failed to finish him off, then the Democrats jumped on the call to the Ukraine.  When it comes to foreign policy the President has a lot of freedom, he could give the nuclear security codes to the Russia if he wanted too, the Oval can do what he likes in foreign policy, that is how the Founding Fathers wanted it, freedom in international affair but constrained on domestic issues.  This blog would have found Trump NO GUILTY on the charges, and this blog understands the US constitution better than Democrats.  Onwards to the 2020 Presidential cycle.

It has been reported that former President Barack Obama will come out in opposition to Sanders if it looks like he will be the nominee, the Democratic Establishment know that a Socialist Democratic Nominee would be a disaster for the Democratic Party from the Presidential level down the ticket.   One does not see Sanders making a good impression in the fly over States, the States that voted for Trump in 2016.  Also Obama would feel that if the Democratic voters reject Biden they are rejecting his type of Democratic Party.   At least CNN can stop covering the impeachment after Wednesday and go back to its pro Democratic move, they bet so much on the Mueller Report and the US Senate trial, and in the end got nothing but a basting in the ratings.

Lets Get Real:

In 1974 Richard Nixon only agreed to resign when the Republicans in the US Senate told him it was over, if this had not happened the history could have been different.   Also the polls for Nixon were bad, it was the reverse for Bill Clinton, the US voter did not think that Clinton deserved to be impeached because of an affair and he was found not guilty by a Republican US Senate.   As long as Trump can keep the defections to a few Senators up for re-election in 2020 he will be all right.  Of course if House hearings next week can push the story along, then there might be a difference, does the White House hold other compromising transcripts of Trump with other State leaders.   This blog would be interested to read the transcript of the talks between Trump and Putin, one would assume that the Trump White House will fight tooth and nail to keep them quiet.  It is going to be dramatic week next week.

Why are the Democrats doing this to themselves, the US voter has made it CLEAR that they have no interest in impeaching Trump over Russia, the moderate Democrats to the House in 2016 have made it clear so far that they are not risking their necks to keep the VERY LIBERAL Dem base happy.  One can see POTUS using this to show that the Democrats have no interest in getting deals, that their sole interest is HATRED for Trump and all things Trump.  Also it makes the Democratic candidate have to defend the actions of the House, that might work in the primary season but what about a general election.  The Democrats just might have handed Trump a 2nd term, they have LOST THE PLOT, that is not new for Democrats.

What do the Russians have on POTUS, its either personal or financial, why take this political hit and get nothing out of it.  If the Democrats were more hawkish when it comes to National Security they could shred Trump on the Hill and out on the campaign trail.   It seems that the Trump Oval has not noticed that Russians are still in the Crimea and are still fighting in East Ukraine.   The Russians have broken the INF Treaty for years and it's only of late that the US has negated the Treaty.  One does wonder what goes through the thought process when it comes to Trump, does he THINK long term, or just what will make the news via his Twitter feed.  It can be postulated that both JFK and Reagan would not have a high opinion of Trump, there is rhyme or reason to his madness.

The above is ALL SHOW, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee faces a left wing challenge in his District if he does not impeach President Trump.  Nearly all the Democratic candidates for President have called for Trump to be impeached, they are trying to get some traction in the polls, thus far VP Biden is smashing the field.  Of course the Democratic Debates have not happened yet, and a year is a long time, anything could happen, Trump could go to WAR with IRAN, the economy could carry on with its great upward path, the Democrats only have a chance in 2020 if the economy tanks, or if POTUS has a disaster on foreign policy, in that matter Trump is trying to bring US troops home, but as stated, you never know, North Korea could blow up, at the same time as Iran, that would challenge for ANY President, and let's be honest Trump is no JFK or Reagan, could he manage a double crisis.  It a long road to the Iowa in 2020.

The US House Judiciary Committee is to hold the US Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress.  The House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi has lost control of her caucus, the left wing of the Democratic Party could cost the the Democrats the House in 2020 and the White House.   The extreme LEFT is listening to AOC and Senator Warren, a candidate for the Democratic nomination and other Democratic candidates.   Warren and her fellow candidates are trying to appeal to the LEFT WING BASE, the ones on social media, the problem is that the US voter has made it clear that it does not want impeachment and half want the investigations to END.  In fact as mentioned on CNN, POTUS approval ratings  have gone up, in fact he wants the Democrats to go for impeachment, it will not fly in the Senate, were he will be found innocent, it did not hurt Bill Clinton over all in 1998/99.   If Speaker Pelosi can not control her members she is in OFFICE but with no power, very much like PM May in the UK.

The House Democrats are playing POLITICAL GAMES, they do not watch to impeach as this could backfire on them, thus we have this political harassment by the Democrats on the Hill.  The AG should refuse to meet them if they do not treat him as his rank would expect, he is after all the Attorney General of the United States, the Democrats are playing to their very liberal base, the base wants to impeach, not because they will win, it is just to make a point.  They hate POTUS so much, they would rather face the political blowback of impeachment, than allow Trump to get away it from their view after the Mueller Report.   The Trump White House is RIGHT to fight back when it comes to Democratic House Committees, the Dem members do not want to face a primary fight in two years time, thus the US does not matter, this is pure politics on their part.  I take the word of the AG over partisan Democrats.

CNN has been pushing impeachment since the Mueller Report came it, the problem is that voters on the whole seem disinterested, you have the fanatical liberals who just want to impeach, the wiser heads the LEADERSHIP establishment know what happened to the Republicans when they impeached Bill Clinton 1998, they lost seats in the Mid Terms of that year.  Speaker Pelosi after getting her old job back does not want to lose it because some political fanatics just want political porn, the House with a Democratic majority could impeach, the question is will a new members from Conservative States support the move, could it lead to a split within the Democratic Party.   If the Democrats do impeach, it could be a bonus for POTUS, he could argue that the Mueller Report and the US Attorney General found his innocent of collusion and obstruction of justice and that liberals have gone more unhinged after that.   Even if the House does pass Articles of Impeachment, the Senate will say NO, then POTUS will be found innocent.   Then Trump will tarnish those Democrats running for President who support the move. This could lead to the Republicanas retaking the House and keeping the Oval Office.  ARE THE DEMOCRATS THAT STUPID.

One can expect the uber liberal press to force the House Democrats to impeach President Trump, not because they will get rid of him, just because they can, as long as the economy is going well and the Republican base is with him the Republican Senate will find him not guilty.  The Trump Campaign of 2020 will use the impeachment move to get donations in from the base, also remind voters that while it was Conservative districts that gave the Democrats a majority in the House, it is being run by far left liberal such as AOC.  In 2020 the Democratic nominee will have to defend the actions of the House, this could sink any Democratic campaign in Congress and for the OVAL.   In this 24/7 media age, the fight never stops, CNN and the other liberal media networks will ask why the Democrats have not impeached Trump, they want to create the news, thus FAKE NEWS.

It is Easter, only political nerds like this blog will read most of the Mueller Report, most normal people will take their news from their trusted source as stated before.   This blog is no great fan of Trump, in fact this blog supported HRC in 2016, spinning for the Clintons was ironic to say the least.  This blog wants POTUS to be treated as you would treat other President, otherwise you have MOB RULE, depending on who is in power.  The Vice President has already called for an investigation of the investigators, to see if the Mueller investigation was lawful.   The Democrats in the House will be pushed by their very liberal base to impeach Trump, and then the Republican Senate will find him not guilty.  In 2020 the Democrats could LOSE the House and the Democratic nominee will have to defend the actions of the House, thus creating more points for the Trump to hit the Dem nominee.  Where are the grown ups?, when in 1968 during the Presidential election LBJ found that Nixon was sabotaging his peace talks with North Vietnam he did not make it public, he could see a crisis developing from the release of this information.   The Republicans and the Democrats have become petty and are owned by the base, we need another Reagan in the Oval Office, a President that could unite the US.

In this modern world of social media, you live in your own political planet, if you watch CNN you think that POTUS did colluded with the Russians even after the Mueller cleared the Trump Campaign of that allegation.   Also you think POTUS tried but failed to obstruct justice but was prevented by his staff from doing any damage.  If you are a Fox News watcher you will take the words of AG Barr, the President was cleared of collusion, by the way for liberals, collusion is not a crime. Also the AG did not agree with the special prosecutor when it comes to the legal theory of obstruction of justice, and thus cleared the President.   Let's recall Mueller works for AG Barr not the other way around, the AG calls the shots on the final interpretation of the law for prosecution.  Thus those that are sane, just want the matter over with, Mueller cleared POTUS of collusion, however many ways CNN try to say it did not happen, and the AG, and the Deputy AG, are the top law enforcers in the land have cleared Trump when it comes to obstruction.   One will postulate that the Democrats will try to impeach the President on obstruction, but they will fail because it will be seen as partisan, and no Republican is going to go against the AG when it comes to a matter of law.   Again to Democrats, impeachment is not about the law, it's is about the art of politics.

This morning the AG Barr stated the main points of the Mueller report, that the President did not colluded with Russia and while the Mueller report could not clear POTUS of obstruction of Justice the AG and the Deputy AG did clear POTUS and stated that they disagreed with some of the legal theory of Mueller when it came to obstruction of justice.  On the whole CNN types are still talking about this case as if it is a legal case, it is NOT, its politics. Speaker Pelosi does not want another impeachment process, in less the Republicans buy in to the process, and they will not, this report will not change any minds.   The hard left base that watches CNN will want an impeachment process, if nothing else just to add Trump to the Impeachment process, so Trump joins Bill Clinton as the only elected Presidents to be impeached.   Speaker Pelosi knows that might make the base happy, but it could cost the Democrats the House in 2020, thus she will stall for as long as possible.   At the end of the day politics is an art not a science, in art anything is possible, apples sometimes do not fall with gravity.

Thus we are seeing the start of the long legal process to get the FULL Mueller report out, the Democrats in the HOUSE are not going to be happy with a redacted report, they want to see the report and all the information that went into the process.   The Trump White House will use the legal process to stall and this could take years.   The Trump Oval is lucky that it has a new AG that supports the powers of the President, and stated that POTUS did not commit obstruction of justice.   The NYT/CNN liberal media will be all over the redacted report, they will look for anything that shows that they were right to cover the story for two long years.  The problem is when you get in to the gutter with Trump, he wins, he has played this game longer, and New York City is a tough town, he knows how to play the game, when it comes to the press.  Thus watch tomorrow as the liberal media, both TV and press go over every word in the redacted Mueller Report.

The uber liberal mainstream press will look for anything that is negative about the Trump Campaign in 2016, thus expect CNN to spend HOURS on the report even after Mueller cleared POTUS on collusion and the AG Barr cleared the Oval on obstruction of justice.   The LIBERAL press over the last two years placed ALL of its hope on the idea that Mueller would somehow get Trump, they have never accepted the result of the 2016 election, and when the AG finally wrote the summary of the conclusions they could not accept that, also when the AG stated that the Trump Campaign has been spied on, the left lost the plot.  The CNN anchors will look for anything that redeems their coverage of Trump over the last two years, the public were conned by the uber liberal media.

POTUS has just been cleared by the Mueller Report and by the US Attorney General, NOW POTUS is not taking a rest, he is back in the arena, the Trump Administration has asked a FEDERAL COURT to revoke ObamaCare.  One doubts that a Court will throw millions off healthcare, there would be an outcry, the case will end up in the Supreme Court.   This could cause a problem for the Chief Justice, the law survived last time due to the Chief Justice, as he made it a TAX.   The removal of the tax could make the law illegal, thus will Chief Justice Roberts try something new to save the law or will he vote with his conservative colleagues to overthrow the law.  If this does happen the President and the Congress will have to think hard about developing a new system as to allow those with a pre - existing condition to get medical over.   This could be the BIG FIGHT for 2020, once you give a benefit to people it's hard to take it back.

The Barr Reports CLEARS POTUS, the Mueller Reports makes it clear that POTUS and his campaign team did not collude with the Russians, the major selling point of the Democrats and the uber liberal press.  Also the US Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General cleared POTUS of obstruction of justice.   It has been fun watching the uber liberal CNN, last night they were searching for a way to say Trump was guilty even after the Report, the Democrats are now questioning the judgement and character of the new Attorney General and Deputy, the two highest law officials in the land.  The political hacks NOW want to see the full Mueller Report, they want AG and Mueller to go before the liberal House Committees, to justify their report.  They have stated that both the AG and the Deputy were appointed by Trump, thus can not be fair, while a partisan Democratic Committees are somehow FAIR.  Speaker Pelosi is an old hand at this game, thus her statement that the Democrats should not go  near impeachment, the LIBERAL firebrands do not care about the LAW, they just HATE TRUMP, these new members need to recalled to the reservation, they will damage the Dems for 2020.   The US will have heard the Barr report and will want the US Congress to move on, the Democrats RISK losing the House and a chance of the White House in 2020 if they are foolish to carry on their witch hunts of POTUS.

If one follows the uber liberal media they have gone off the idea that the Mueller Report will confirm a firm collusion between President Trump and the Russians in 2016.   Thus there stressing of the Congressional investigations and the New York State investigation.   Let's speculate, that is fun, and everyone else does it.  What if the Mueller investigation finds that there was collusion between POTUS and the Russians, by the way collusion is not a crime, yes that is true.   The effect would be political, even the Republicans would have to bail ship and impeach the President.  On the other hand if no collusion the Democrats and the urban liberal media is going to look foolish, VERY.   CNN would have to say SORRY for running with the story for two years, this blog will not hold its breath.   Let's look at past scandals, in Watergate, Richard Nixon was bought down by the Special Prosecutor who could link Nixon to the Watergate break - in cover up, in the case of Bill Clinton the Prosecutor could also prove that Clinton lied under oath, this was later confirmed by the House who impeached the President, he was later found not guilty by the US Senate.   Thus Nixon resigned, Clinton was impeached, while the best handling of a scandal was the case of Ronald Reagan and Iran Contra, to this day no one knows if the Gipper knew about the secret funding of the Contra Freedom Fighters, at the end of the day Reagan was slapped on the hands for bad management skills, Nixon and Clinton would have taken that!! No one went to jail, convictions were overturned and Bush 41, Reagan's VP pardoned those under threat of Court cases in 1992.   It should be noted that that Clinton left Office with a Gallup Approval rating of 66%, while Reagan had 63%.   One sure that the Gipper would have not minded, his VP was his successor, seen as Reagan's Third Term.   This had not happened in over a hundred years and has not happened since.

I wonder if this story has LEGS, will CNN cover it for hours on end, will the question the role of Mr Craig in the Obama White House.  OF COURSE NOT, this blog is rather surprised that it's in the Guardian.  It should be noted that it is running in the New York Times, guess the uber left wing Guardian tries to be seen to be fair.   One does wonder if the Justice Department will really go after Mr Craig, it seems more interested in nailing POTUS for anything.  Do not hold your breath for this story to be carried by other uber liberal news networks.   There only story is TRUMP.

One has to say that President Trump is very self centered, his speech on national security was more in praise of Donald Trump than anything, everything before him was BAD, hold on, that what President Obama did, he spent most of his first year being critical of Bush 43, he only knocked it off when he was coming to end of his term, the President's Club has a limited membership, also being smart Obama must have thought that the next President might take his path and be critical of him, so he toned it down.  But then it is his fault that we have a President Trump, he mocked Trump at a press gathering, that is said made Trump run for President.    As for his America First policy Trump is going back to his base, is he thinking he might need his base in a few days if he sacks the Special Prosecutor in to the Russian influence in the US Presidential Election of 2016.  Also reader did you notice that in some words POTUS slurred his speech and also the odd and careful way he took sips of water, is POTUS ALRIGHT?  Let us recall that POTUS is in his 70s, one might start thinking that Oval Office might get a new POTUS if Trump is forced out of office due to ill health.  Just a thought.
