EU Rebukes France OVER Threats - After Brexit

Lets Get Real:

One hopes that this gangster threat from the FRENCH, will finally get the hard boiled Remainers at the BBC, Guardian, Channel 4, Sky, Times to accept that the UK was right to leave the EU, the French see themselves as the leaders of the EU now that that there will be a new LEFT WING Germany Government in Berlin.  The French throw out the rules when it comes to their national interests, this time its UK FISH and the threat to cut power to the UK.  The UK should tell the French to naff off and any attempt to close down the Ports will be met by the Royal Navy, and they will take the ships in toe and  seize them and send the crew back to France as their own expense or the French Government.   The UK does not take well to threats from Europe, have the French learned nothing yet!!

EU on the Northern Ireland Protocol - After Brexit

BBC News: Reports " The EU will bring forward new proposals for the Northern Ireland Protocol next week, European Commission Vice President Maros Šefčovič has said. "

Lets Get Real:

WE shall see if the EU is on the up, or is just playing games, it has been reported that the French President has been asking the EU to go hard on the Northern Ireland Protocol, also the French have threatened to cut power to the UK and its Islands, the French are angry that they have been refused fishing licences UK waters.  They have threatened to close down UK ports if their demands are not meet.  The UK has to be CLEAR with the EU, the Northern Ireland Protocol has to be changed in a big way, it is a threat to the PEACE of Northern Ireland.  The UK PM should invoke Article 16 of the Withdrawal Agreement and revoke those parts of the Protocol that is a threat to the peace of the province, IF the Republic wants to send set up borders that is a Dublin problem not ours.  The UK has to be tough with the EU. 

PM Johnson at the Conservative Party Conference - After Brexit

BBC News: Reports on PM Boris Johnson's speech at the Conservative Party Conference, the PM stated, " the UK was heading towards a higher wage, higher productivity and lower tax economy. "

Lets Get Real:

The speech was the right length, 45 minutes as reported by the BBC,  not like the War and Peace of Sir Keir Starmer at the Labour Party Conference, it was a speech that was made to make you feel good about the future, and that the Conservative Party cared about every area of the UK being up lifted, with higher wages ( who thought a Conservative PM would say that ), and high productivity within business. There were jokes at the expense of the Cabinet and Captain Hindsight ( Sir Keir Starmer ).   It showed in a subtle way how clever our PM is, and well read and few references to the 19th Century, that always good down well with a Conservative Party conference. It was once researched that the best year to be alive was 1880, the days of Empire of course.  The Conservative Party has really changed, it has stolen some of Labour's or the left view of the role of Government within society, lets see if the PM can be successful, those poll leads cannot last forever, this blog recalls the troubled early years of the Thatcher Government and how PM Thatcher was saved by the Falklands War, is Aukus a insurance card IN case we get dragged in to  War against China over Taiwan. 

The Northern Ireland Protocol - Update - After Brexit

Daily Mail: Reports " Lord Frost has drawn up plans to replace the Northern Ireland Protocol as the Tory Brexit chief warns the EU the UK 'cannot wait forever' for border check problems to be resolved and signals Britain will tear up rules this year if progress is not made "

Lets Get Real:

This has been going on for months, the UK suggests different ideas to replace the North Ireland Protocol and the EU does nothing, the UK should announce that enough is enough and revoke the Protocol as allowed by the Withdrawal Agreement and threaten the EU with not getting the rest of the divorce settlement if it starts any trouble.  There were rumours that the PM would announce it this week at the conference, it seems that has been delayed.   A row between the UK and the EU would go down well with the UK voters and secure Northern Ireland as part of the UK and ease tensions.  If the Republic wants to build borders its down to them, as they will not the EU will just have to give up!

UK Chancellor and Brexit - Conservative Party Conference/After Brexit

BBC News: Reports " Rishi Sunak has insisted that Brexit is in the long-term interests of the UK, despite current disruption to fuel and food supplies....He also said he wanted to cut taxes, but only when the public finances are on a "sustainable footing".  "

Lets Get Real:

This was a good speech by the CHANCELLOR, confirming that he is a firm Brexit supporter but also a Conservative who wants to cut taxes when the economy is right or before the next general election.  The Remain press are always blaming Brexit for the fuel shortage in London and the South of England, what few do not say is that the rest of Europe has the same problem, and that there is enough fuel, this not the 1970s all over again.  The Johnson Government is showing that it is secure when it comes the economy and is united in wanting tax cuts when the time is right, well before a general election in either 2023 or 2024.   One can only hope that this Conference is more successful that the Labour Party under Sir Keir Starmer, the Conservatives were a couple of points of Labour in a recent poll, thus no bounce for the Labour Party. 

Biden OUT for 2024 ? - Biden Era

The Hill: Reports " President Biden has lost support among a key bloc of voters that helped catapult him to the White House: independents. "

Lets Get Real:

If I was a member of either the House or the Senate I would be careful of placing all my support for Biden, one does not need to be the genius to work out that Biden is not running in 2024, the delay is getting his Agenda means that the bills wont be seen as benefit before the 2022 Mid Terms, and in that race the voters will be asking, so what have you done, and when does it start to happen, and then you voted to spend how much, one is sure the Republicans will make sure that every misstep is placed at the feet of Democrats.  Independents might be hard to get back, they have seen Afghanistan and the mess that started and ended with Biden, also Covid - 19 is still on going, Biden does not have real link with the voters, such as Kennedy and Reagan had, also his selling point was that he could work the Hill, well if this week is his best, God help us for the next six weeks.  One hopes the Senate and House moderates keep to their word, or their wanting to get re-elected and keep the social welfare bill down to 1 to 2 trillion, otherwise they might lose their Seat in Congress.

BBC News: Reports " President Biden has insisted his $1tn (£750bn) infrastructure bill will eventually be passed by Congress amid an impasse in his own party.  "

Lets Get Real:

This shows that POTUS is not going to run for a 2nd term, and he thinks he going to lose the Congress to the Republicans, the Biden Oval does not care that House and Senate members could lose their Seats in 2022 Mid Terms or the Presidential Election in 2024, he wont be on the ballot and he will always get great reviews from the LIBERAL press, such as CNN and the liberal New York Times.  Six weeks is a risk, a lot can happen in a WEEK, what if the Senator Manchin wont budge from his 1.5 trillion top line, what if the other Senator has other demands, she is a bit of enigma to the Democratic Party and the press. What if other Senators think they should also be getting attention and decide to act up, no one wants to be seen a stupid sheep following orders.  Biden is taking a BIG RISK, not for himself, he will be out by 2025, but the other Democrats could go down to defeat.
