Lets Get Real:

In real politics and in the defence of US national security it can be argued that the US if it wants a WAR with Iran should do it before Iran gets the bomb, the trouble that North Korea makes and how limited the US reaction shows what happens when the opposition has the bomb.  Of course POTUS has been impeached, does he want that to be the only achievement of his time in Office, IF he serves one or two terms as President.   Bush 43 took the leader of Iraq down, Obama did the same with Libya through the use of air power ( showed that Reagan was right the first time ) and the death of UBL.   While Trump has been to seen to appease North Korea and Russia and gun shy when it comes to Iran. It of course should be noted that POTUS ordered the mission that killed the leader of Daesh, that was a brave decision and very Presidential.   One way to record a win when it comes to foreign policy would be to take down the Regime in Iran, the people of IRAN would be happy, the left can no say much. So is Trump another Reagan or Jimmy Carter?   Thus far this blog is far than impressed with Trump when it comes to foreign policy, American voters like and support strong leaders!

The Labour Leadership Contest - Future of the Labour Party - Election 2024

BBC News: Reports " Rebecca Long-Bailey has confirmed she is considering standing in the contest to be Labour's next leader, pledging to champion "progressive patriotism".   "

Lets Get Real:

If Ms Bailey is Jeremy Corbyn in a skirt, then the Labour Party can forget winning in 2024, the Labour Party needs an effective Opposition leader, one that does not look like a female clone of Corbyn.  The Corbyn Labour Party has taken a once great winning Party under Tony Blair and made it a laughing stock.  The Party needs to return to the Centre, Blair has been accused of most things since Iraq, but no one ever doubt that he was a Patriot, who would made a great Conservative Prime Minister.  Those MPs that were defeated in 2019 and have sent a message of reform needed for the Labour Party, one doubts that their concerns will be listened too, the Corbyn Party is about Party Purity of the LEFT, what a shame for UK Democracy.

Is Speaker Pelosi unhinged over Trump ? - Election 2020

Guardian - Live Blog: Reports in its 4.21pm post the following, " House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has told the Associated Press that she has shown the president “the power of the gavel” by impeaching the president “forever”....“He just got impeached. He’ll be impeached forever. No matter what the Senate does. He’s impeached forever because he violated our Constitution,” she said during an interview on Thursday that was published today.  "

Lets Get Real:

After an impeachment process in the House, the articles are supposed to go to the US Senate for TRIAL, but the SPEAKER is slow moving the process, she wants to control the structure of the Senate trial, she has been told to get lost in essence by the Senate Majority Leader.  The fact that the impeachment process is not supported by the US VOTER could be FACTOR, the impeachment process was just 12 weeks, while the investigations of NIXON AND CLINTON took years, the DEMOCRATS rushed to please the liberal press, but were left with a rotten egg, this is typical of Democrats, NO BACKBONE. 

Labour SPLIT on Brexit Deal - Brexit 31st January 2020

Sky News: Reports " Six Labour MPs - who all represent Leave-supporting constituencies - defied their party leader Jeremy Corbyn and voted in favour of the prime minister's Brexit deal....In addition, a total of 32 Labour MPs did not vote, suggesting some actively chose to abstain. "

Lets Get Real:

It seems that Parliamentary discipline has fallen apart in Labour, six MPs voted for the 2nd reading, while 32 MPs abstained, this is what happens when you lose an election badly, it was Labour's worse showing sine 1935.  A new Labour Leader is needed NOW, not in March, the Labour Party should have a temporary leader, someone with stature, someone who the Conservatives will not laugh at, Jeremy Corbyn was the number 1 reason given by voters for not voting for Corbyn, that should tell the MPs something, are they really going to go in to the New Year with Corbyn still in charge and shaping the succession race to suit his chosen successor, another left winger.   Listening to some of the Labour MPs in the House of Commons today, one gets the impression that Labour MPs seem to have forgotten that the UK has just had an election, and LABOUR LOST, badly, the have to wise up face being on the Opposition benches for decades.

Lets Get Real:

A HISTORIC Day, the UK House of Commons has passed the 2nd Reading of the Brexit Bill, also the time table for the new year, the next stage after that is the House of Lords, as the Brexit Deal was in the Conservative Manifesto the House of Lords cannot block it, well that is the tradition, let's hope there are NO silly games by our Lords.  If need be the Government can use the Parliamentary Act that allows the House of Commons to overrule the House of Lords, but that should not be needed.  A good day if you are a Conservative and Brexit supporter. 

POTUS on being Impeached - Election 2020

The White House: States: "Today marks the culmination in the House of one of the most shameful political episodes in the history of our Nation.  Without receiving a single Republican vote, and without providing any proof of wrongdoing, Democrats pushed illegitimate articles of impeachment against the President through the House of Representatives.  Democrats have chosen to proceed on this partisan basis in spite of the fact that the President did absolutely nothing wrong.  Indeed, weeks of hearings have proved that he did nothing wrong.

Throughout the House Democrats’ entire sham impeachment, the President was denied fundamental fairness and due process under the law.  The House blatantly ignored precedent and conducted the inquiry in secrecy behind closed doors so that Chairman Adam Schiff and his partisan political cronies could selectively leak information to their partners in the media to push a false narrative.

When public hearings were held before Chairman Schiff’s committee, Democrats continued their games and denied the President the ability to cross-examine witnesses or present witnesses or evidence.  The proceedings in the Judiciary Committee included no fact witnesses at all and consisted solely of a biased law seminar and a staffer rehashing the slanted report that was produced by Chairman Schiff’s rigged proceeding.  This unconstitutional travesty resulted in two baseless articles of impeachment that lack any support in evidence and fail even to describe any impeachable offense.

All of these antics make clear that Democrats have lost sight of what this country needs, which is a Congress that works for the people.  Their boundless animus for President Trump fuels their desire to nullify the 2016 election results, and improperly influence the 2020 election.

The American people are not fooled by this disgraceful behavior.  They understand fairness, due process, and substantial, reliable evidence are required before any American should be charged with wrongdoing—and certainly before impeaching a duly elected President.

The President is confident the Senate will restore regular order, fairness, and due process, all of which were ignored in the House proceedings.  He is prepared for the next steps and confident that he will be fully exonerated.  President Trump will continue to work tirelessly to address the needs and priorities of the American people, as he has since the day he took office. "

Lets Get Real:

One gets the impression that POTUS will take his revenge on the Democrats for this foolish overreaction by them when it comes to the Ukraine, he might VETO every Bill they want, make them understand as President he make their lives difficult.  Who can blame him, at least Nixon and Clinton deserved to be impeached, the Democrats have been looking to take revenge on Trump for beating HRC in 2016, it will be OPEN WARFARE now in Washington, Trump likes to COUNTER PUNCH, there are a lot more rounds to go before this story ends.
