One can not believe that former VP, Joe Biden does not get the fact that by calling two racist Senators civil he is stepping on his own civil rights record.  The question is WHY is he doing it, it seems from reports that his staff have tried to tell him not to use these examples, but he goes on, and wants an apology from those that have called him out on the subject.  Even with these stories and the his Creepy Joe nickname that came about his touching women in a non assault way his polls are still good, he is the front runner.   Is Joe Biden the Democratic Donald Trump, nothing he does cuts his poll lead in the Democratic field.   The Democratic Presidential Debates will start soon, will the other Democratic candidates take Biden on about this subject, his Senate days with racist Senators, also his opposition to busing ( it was big in the 1970s ).   How can Biden attack Trump on being a racist when he hung around with racists and call them civil.   The COLD of Iowa and NH should see how Biden is with the voters, his campaign can not hide him from the voters, if they do Trump will have a field day on the campaign.

The above shows how bad the decision by POTUS was when it comes to Iran, the day that Biden can look tough makes for a very mixed up World. It should be noted as it was by Obama's first Defence Secretary Robert Gates that while Vice President to President Obama, Biden tried on numerous occasions to thwart Obama's surge in Afghanistan. The surge was not helped when Obama stated when the end of date of the surge would be, thus telling the enemy just to wait in till the US left Afghanistan. As noted in previous posts by this blog, the Republicans were seen as the Party of national security, the appeasement of Iran by Trump makes the modern Republican Party look like the Conservatives who in the 1930s supported the appeasement policy of the National Government under Neville Chamberlain. It has been fun seeing CNN trying to find a way to be critical of Trump when they agree with what he has done, the same with the Democrats.   The title of this post gets to the POINT, POTUS is gun shy, he promised during the 2016 election not to go to War in the Middle East, the problem is that this weakness by Trump places the US in bad light.   The US looks weak due to a feckless and weak President.   The Republican Party used to be the Party for security, what are the hawks within the Party and the White House going to say, they have elected the WORST President since Jimmy Carter.  One would not be shocked if North Korea had another nuclear test or tried one of its  ICBM's after Trump's disaster when it comes to Iran.  As Nixon said in 1970, when the US is weak, the enemies of the US come out to play, thus expect trouble from Iran, North Korea and Russia.

The FACT that the US has not acted on the US Drone getting shot down shows a WEAK President, the Tehran Regime has shot down a 110 million drone, not money you find behind the sofa.  One has only to look at how the Reagan Oval dealt with such issues in 1987/88, they took action, and let's recall Bush 41 went on to win the 1988 Presidential Election even after Iran - Contra, due to the popularity of the Gipper, it was seen as his third term.  If the Trump White House does not act, then Democrats can show that they are strong on defence, that never happens!! Also let's also remember that as Citizen Trump, POTUS opposed the Reagan policy when it came to defending the Tankers in the persian Gulf.  A weak President will be a rollover for Iran and North Korea, the US might have elected a DOVE( that is being nice ) to the White House.  JFK and Reagan looking down must be horrified.

Thus folks you see why VP Biden has a foot in mouth problem, these days in the Democratic Party you have to HATE the Republicans, it's not like LBJ having fierce battle with Republicans in the Morning, and in his view calling him everything under the SUN, then having a drink together in the Evening to get a DEAL on his Agenda.  Those running Democrats running for President know that you have to deal with the other side if you want to get  a bill through the US Senate, in less you have a majority of over 60.   They are playing games, they want to cut away the African - American support for Biden, thus they are using the race card, Biden was right to say Senator Booker should say sorry to him, not the other way around.   Let's recall Ronald Reagan called Biden a smooth demagogue in his diaries, thus the VP should not be to moralistic about what others say about him.  The Democratic race for President is going to be a very LONG AND BITTER race, and it's only June 2019.

This is a REAL TEST for the Trump Oval, does President Trump ACT or does he become another Barack Obama and let it go, he has already stated that he thinks it might not be a Tehran Regime decision to shoot down the US drone, thus giving himself a out if he wants it, that will not go down well with the HAWKS in the White House and the Republican Party.  The President should think what JFK or Reagan would have DONE.  The American people can put with a lot, but a WEAK President on the international front will not help his 2020 election prospects.   If the Trump Oval does act, it might be on the Seas, take down a few Tehran small boats, or platforms, make it clear the next time that it will be worse.  The Congressional leadership will be meeting with POTUS this evening, let's see what happens after that.  

Boris is the MAN TO BEAT - Conservative Leadership Contest

This blog was right by two votes, that Michael Gove was toast, the drugs revelations did not help, also the Conservative Party did not need the psycho battle of a Johnson vs. Gove match up, in 2016 Gove stabbed Boris in the back, this is not new in political history, Ed Miliband stabbed his older Brother David in the back to become Labour Leader ( a pointless thing to do, as he did not win the following General Election ).  The contes between Boris and Hunt should be civil, Hunt is the underdog, the Conservative base is VERY PRO BREXIT, so Hunt if he wants to WIN will have to out BREXIT Boris, do not see that happening, Hunt will want to keep his job as the Foreign Office, thus the contest should be BORING for the press.   If the Party had adults in the room, the underdog would step down and allow BORIS to become PM a little bit early, but that is not going to happen, egos these days are frail.   This blog is supporting Boris, he will bring some fun back to UK politics and put the Brexit Party back in its box.
