Bill Clinton and 2016 - 2016 Election

Whether this will work is a great unknown of the 2016 race: If Mr. Clinton veers far off script with just one stunner of a comment, the campaign could stumble. "

Lets Get Real:

Think about this, Bill Clinton was called the first " Black " President in the Oval Office, he understood African - American culture and was happy to be around it, then President Obama and his campaign comes along and brands Bill Clinton a racist, of all people to throw that charge at, the former President might have his faults, BIG FAULTS, but he is not a racist, and it shows character of Bill Clinton that he agreed to support President Obama in 2012.   Thus its payback time, the Clintons expect the Obama team to support them, but and there is always a but, the Clintons may need to distance themselves from the Oval Office should Obama have a bad deal with Iran, the Israeli lobby on the Hill will make sure that the US Congress has the final say on any agreement.   Thus the old big dog should be himself, if the HRC team tie him up he will blow a fuse, and that could cause problems, let Bill be Bill within reason. 

Labour Ahead in the Polls by 4% - 2015 Election

Lets Get Real:

As this blog has noted, the Labour Party will win the General Election as it takes less voters to vote Labour to win that it does Conservatives.   Thus as long as Labour is on between 34%-36% they will either form a minority government or have a vote by vote deal with the SNP or LibDems.   The most interesting part over the next few weeks is to look who shines on the Labour campaign trail and the likely Cabinet Ministers in the next Labour Government.  Also it will be interesting to see how many Labour seats go to the SNP in May, it could be that the Labour Party will be down to 1 or 2 seats in Scotland, the same as the Conservative Party.   Interesting few weeks ahead on the political front.  Think of it, five years of Ed Miliband droning on, I need PROZAC. 

US/Iran talks Part 2 - Iran Crisis

Lets Get Real:

The uber liberal left wing press want a deal, they have learned nothing from Munich of 1938, they will not ask the tough questions, Will Iran Cheat? YES. Will Iran lie, YES, Will Iran play a role in the troubles of the Middle East, YES.    The Obama Oval wants a legacy and is willing to sell out the Gulf States and Israel.   These two very different allies should form an alliance to take out the nuclear threat of Iran, call the Oval Office's bluff, the US Congress will support an attack, and any sanctions ideas by the Oval will get a veto from the US Congress.    The Obama Oval is playing a game it does not understand and will not be around when it falls apart after 2017.   History has away of repeating itself,  Putin's Russia and Tehran are a threat to the entire World.   Putin wants a Greater Russia and Iran wants a greater Iran and for its neighbours to pay homage to it.   Weakness breads war, Obama is no Kennedy or Reagan. 

US/UN talks with Iran - Iran Crisis

IF you think the Switzerland talks are a good deal in the making, then do not read this post, the Obama Administration wants a deal so much it will sell out its Gulf Allies and Israel.    The Tehran Regime can not be trusted, as the former US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta said both as Secretary and Director of the CIA he found that Iran always double deals.   The Gulf States and Israel should consider a joint operation  to take down the nulcear structures of Iran.   The US Congress will support any action and will thwart any sanctions by the Obama Administration.   The Switzerland talks have the smell of the Munich agreement of 1938, when you appease a bully you open the door to more fighting.   Lets hope the US Congress thwarts any US/Iran deal. 

Saudi Arabia and Iran - Yemen Update 3 - Yemen Crisis

CNN - Politics:Reports " The Saudi Ambassador to the United States would not rule out the possibility of the Saudis creating their own nuclear bomb to counterbalance a nuclear-armed Iran "

Lets Get Real:

This is a clear threat to the Obama Administration, if Obama does a bad with with Iran then the Sunni Gulf States will start to make sure they are secure, and the only way to make sure your safe is to have a nuclear missile yourself.   Lets recall SA has the money to buy a nuclear weapon or get the best people on board to allow SA to develop a bomb faster.   The US Congress has to ACT, it should make sure that the Obama deal comes to Congress before the UN, if the Oval says not then the Congress should pass an Act of Congress to force him, one doubts that Democrats will want to see Iran with the bomb, Obama will be gone in 2017, and Dems will want support from the Israeli  Lobby, this US/Iran deal has a long way to go before it comes in to force, all politics is local. 

Yemen Update 2 - Yemen Crisis

It would be ironic if after Yemen these forces joined a secret deal with Israel to attack Iran's nuclear buildings, this could happen if the Obama Oval keeps going down it road to appease Iran.   As stated by this blog, President Obama is the modern Neville Chamberlain, a politician meaning well but who dragged the World in to World War 2, it would not shock this blog if Obama causes a regional war in the Middle East, with the the Shiites and Sunnis having a regional war and a arms race, it could be argued that SA could buy a nuclear missile on the black market, then we would see the other States run to get such missiles.  President Obama has shown how a well meaning man can cause mass problems and deaths by thinking he can solve problems that have been around for Centuries.

Lets Get Real:

AS noted in this blog the politics of the Middle East are murky and ironic, if your a main street voter in the US you must be thinking WTF just happened, on side of the Yemen Civil War you have Saudi Arabia supported by the US going to invade Yemen to prevent a Tehran supporting group taken power, while in Iraq the US is providing semi air cover for Iraqi forces and groups that belong to Iran.   It should be noted as the London Times reported this morning that because the new Iraqi government has requested US air support for the battle for Tikirt the Iran's forces have withdrawn in a sulk.   On top of that at the strategic level, Tehran and the US are dealing on a nuclear agreement, that is not supported by Israel and the Sunni Gulf States.   It will be interesting to comment on the coming events over the next few days, who will win and who will retreat.
