The US/UK and Yemen - 2nd Term Blues

Guardian: Reports the following from the Coast of Yemen, " ..a Navy-Marine Corps amphibious-ready group of approximately 5,000 troops and provide the US with something of an insurance policy should an attack occur  ".

Lets Get Real:

The US/UK should ask the Government of Yemen that it request that the US and the UK send in Special Forces to take out the Terrorist threat to Yemen and the West, it would be better to have the troops on the ground ready to take out a threat that having to react to Yemen becoming a Al Qaeda State, this would be a major threat to the West.  It shows how powerful how Al Qaeda in Yemen has become, the mere threat of terrorist attack has the US and other Western States closing down their Embassies and Consulates, the Oval has to get a backbone and be ready to place troops in Yemen, the US left will go bonkers, the Oval can not lead from behind as in Libya, the Oval is the Leader of the West, time for the Oval to find his inner cowboy and ride to the rescue of Yemen and the West, with the use of special forces. 

US Special Forces for Yemen - 2nd Term Blues

BBC News: Reports that the US is preparing to send in US Special Forces to take out the Al Qaeda threat in Yemen. 

Lets Get Real:

Finally the Oval is doing something right, drones are good, but sometimes you need boots on the ground, you have to take risks of body bags, to take out Al Qaeda you have to go after them from houses to caves.   The US has closed Embassies in North Africa and the Middle East, this looks like weakness, it gives the impression that Al Qaeda has the US on the back foot, it also makes the Oval and the US look weak, the Oval has been stating for years that Al Qaeda is finished, well folks it does not look like that, the core of Al Qaeda has moved from Afghanistan to Pakistan and Yemen, they have created a new franchise structure, one that is harder to take down with just drones, time for the US to move troops from Afghanistan to Yemen, time for the US to take the fight to Al Qaeda, the War on Terror will take decades folks, its not over because of a Oval speech. 

Libya and the Al Qaeda THREAT - 2nd Term Blues

Fox News: Reports that NSA Susan Rice is the driving force for the closing down of Embassies through North Africa and the Middle East due to the Al Qaeda threat, the article notes the following, " ..trying to avoid Benghazi repeat, as Al Qaeda leader pushes for new attack  ".

Lets Get Real:

Lets recall folks the Benghazi deaths are still scandal, as noted in this blog the actions of the CIA that night are still open for debate, why did not the Oval send in a rescue team, why are CIA Officers being forced to keep quiet, thus no wonder Rice does not want another Benghazi, but closing down Embassies for a week plays in to the hands of the terrorists, they win by default, they want the West to change their work patters, well closing Embassies at this rate is a terrorist win, the US can not forever close down its Embassies and Consulates, the Oval has to go on the offensive, not just drone strikes, it has to place troops on the ground in Yemen, take the War to the Terrorists, not just wait to be hit, time for ACTION, time for Obama to be another Kennedy  or Reagan, tough Presidents who lead, who did not lead from behind.    The War on Terror will go on for a long time folks. 

The Left and the Oval - 2nd Term Blues

Guardian: Has the following commentary piece on the Obama Presidency and the War on Terror, " A president who came into office pledging to take the 'war on terror' out of the shadows plunged it deeper into those shadows  ".

Lets Get Real:

The Oval is not a fool folks, he knows that should there be a major terrorist attack on the US and the failure to stop it could be traced to a Obama reform of the Bush 43 War on Terror his Presidency would be OVER and the Democrats would NOT WIN in 2017.    As noted in this blog, a liberal President CAN NOT be liberal at home and abroad, in this Obama is following the route of President Johnson, at home you had the Great Society of the LBJ years and the reform in Civil Rights, abroad it was a different matter, Johnson increased the US presence in South Vietnam, it became LBJ's War, it destroyed him, the fear that LBJ had was should he lose South Vietnam the Republicans would push the issue up his backside every day, lets recall the Democrats gained the tag of losing China at the end of the 1940s.   Thus Obama is the LIBERAL President at home but a hawk when it comes to the War on Terror, considering the closing of the US Embassies the Oval is right to be a hawk. 

Al Qaeda THREAT and the US - 2nd Term Blues

BBC News: Reports that the US will keep 19 Embassies closed in North Africa and the Middle East in till next Saturday due to the terrorist threat from Al Qaeda. 

Lets Get Real:

Thus folks the terrorists WIN, the aim of terrorists it to cause terror and make you change the way you live you life.   At what point does the US go after the Al Qaeda and finish this, in the 2012 Presidential race President Obama stated that Al Qaeda was dead and the US Car Industry had been saved, well folks, it seems that Al Qaeda was not as dead as stated by the Oval, and Detroit the City that was the home of the US Car industry has gone belly up, its broke.   That is the problem when you use foreign policy as a political tool, it can come back to bite you on the backside, and make the Oval look like a fool, that is the problem when you a POTUS who is a ego maniac, just because he says something he thinks it is true, well folks there is a pill for that, it is called PROZAC, get the Oval back to the REAL WORLD.   The terror threat has never gone away, the Oval can not destroy Al Qaeda with words, DRONES yes, but not words, time to hit the terrorists hard, time for the Oval to be a cowboy, did not do Reagan any harm, the Gipper is considered a great President, and Bush 43 numbers have gone up of late, time for action from the Oval. 

The New Doctor - Peter Capaldi = 12th Doctor

Doctor Who News: Reports the introduction of Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor got a viewing rating of 6.1 million viewers, the most watched shown on Sunday.

It has been fun reading the reaction to the news folks, the general theme is that Malcolm Tucker is going to tell the Daleks what they can do with their plunger and even offer to place it there himself.   Of course the Doctor does not swear, never bullies, never mean, is fair, just, a champion, yes folks the Doctor is as far a way as you can get from Tucker and be on the planet Earth.   Of course if the BBC ever wants to film at No 10, Buck House, House of Commons, the Tower of London and there are any problems, they can just threaten to send MT around to have a few words in his own nice style!!  What is great about Mr Capaldi is that he is a great actor, as with MT can use the English language better than nuclear bomb, but  as shown when he did The Fires of Pompeii with the 10th Doctor, he can do fun, he can run, he can do tragedy, in other words we have a great actor doing a great role.   Also he is FAN, what more can a fan of the show ask for, I think the Daleks and the Cybermen are going to need to up their game, the new Doctor is in the Tardis. 

The Benghazi Cover Up - 2nd Term Blues

Telegraph: Reports on the Benghazi scandal, " The CIA has been subjecting operatives to monthly polygraph tests in an attempt to suppress details of a US arms smuggling operation in Benghazi that was ongoing when its ambassador was killed by a mob in the city last year, according to reports. ".

Lets Get Real:

Folks, this Benghazi scandal has the smell of Iran - Contra, from reports the general dots seem to be that the CIA was giving Libyan weapons to the Syrian rebels, the question that the Congress has to asked, was this being done with the okay of the Oval, or was this the CIA doing a operation off the books, one has doubts after the 1970s and Watergate that the CIA would go rogue without Presidential approval, also why is the Oval so secret about the operation, was the Oval up to something that has not been disclosed, seems so odd for Obama to cover for the CIA, he has to for the NSA, you NEVER cross the NSA, you never know what they have on you, and after all POTUS is a Chicago Pol down to his toenails.  The idea that regular polygraph tests would not leak shows that someone has not learned how D.C works, that sounds more like the Oval than the CIA, we shall see folks, but this smells folks, and its close to the Oval.
