Obama, Israel and Iran - Iran Crisis

Telegraph: Reports on the message that President Obama will bring on his visit to Israel, " ...an unequivocal message to the Israeli leadership during his March visit that it must abandon all talk of a military strike on Iranian nuclear targets and support Washington's diplomatic efforts with Tehran, .. ".

Lets Get Real:

If this is really the Obama message then the Oval has lost the plot, this is the one way to make sure that Israel hits Iran, the Tehran Regime has made it clear that it does not want talks, it has seen how North Korea is treated, in other words a nuclear armed North Korea is only pushed so far, it has ICBM and nuclear technology, Libya gave up its weapons of mass destruction, and looked what happened to Gaddafi.   The Tehran Regime has Obama's number and its called Neville Chamberlain, a weak leader who reads his own speeches as fact, scary folks.    One has to ask can Israel wait, it knows that Obama will not act, in the security of Israel the Government might have force Obama to act, in other words strike Iran, the Tehran Regime might hit the US 5th Fleet, thus force the Oval to finish what Israel stated folks, in other words folks Israel might have to blackmail the Oval, force it to act, the US Congress will back Israel if it comes to a showdown between the Oval and Israel and the issue is Iran.   Tense weeks and months ahead folks. 

The US and North Korea - Korean Crisis PT2

Guardian: Reports the following on the North Korean Crisis, " But while Obama's frustration was evident from the strength of his denunciation, it is less clear what the US can do about North Korea's actions. ".

Lets Get Real: 

This blog hates to agree with the uber left wing Guardian but it does have a point, the North Koreans have a million man Army on the border with South Korea, the Capital of South of Korea is close enough for rocket attacks, the North is now a nuclear armed power, it could hit South Korea, Japan, it is a regional player, even China has to tread careful around its suppose ally, so what can the Oval do on this issue?.    The answer is as usual, give North Koreans the food they need to feed its people, get China to act like a Super Power and get North Korea to behave or at lest not show up the US and the UN.   As stated on this issue you can not blame President Obama, the chief failure goes down to Jimmy Carter who though he could deal with North Korea, yes the same Carter that gave us Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 and the Hostages in Iran.  Next time a Carter walks in to the Oval with a bright idea, suggest he take it somewhere else, Falklands is nice place, very far away, and  no one to take his advice on foreign policy. 

Hagel over 1st Hurdle - 2nd Obama Term

BBC News: Reports that a US Senate Defence Committee has passed the nomination of Senator Hagel to be the next US Defence Secretary, the nomination now goes before the full US Senate. 

Lets Get Real:

It seems even after the disaster that was the conformation hearing the Democrats are willing to walk the blank for the Oval, lets hope they do not regret it down the line.  One can see the Republicans do a half hearted attempt to block the nomination, but at the end of the day the Democrats control the US Senate.  Thus Secretary Hagel will have to deal with North Korea, Syria and Iran.  One can see that Israel will fear that Hagel will block any attempt for the US to attack Iran, thus Israel will have to take out its greatest threat to its existence, that being a nuclear armed Iran.  The Assad Regime and North Korea and Tehran will be happy, they see a weak Secretary who is the left of President Obama, no friend of Israel, does not see Iran as a threat, in fact wants talks.  The very fact of nominating Senator Hagel could lead to a regional war in Middle East folks.   That is why President Obama is a disaster for US and World security. 

The US and North Korea - Korean Crisis Update

White House: President Obama's statement on North Korea's nuclear test this morning, " North Korea announced today that it conducted a third nuclear test.  This is a highly provocative act that, following its December 12 ballistic missile launch, undermines regional stability, violates North Korea’s obligations under numerous United Nations Security Council resolutions, contravenes its commitments under the September 19, 2005 Joint Statement of the Six-Party Talks, and increases the risk of proliferation.  North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs constitute a threat to U.S. national security and to international peace and security. The United States remains vigilant in the face of North Korean provocations and steadfast in our defense commitments to allies in the region.

These provocations do not make North Korea more secure.  Far from achieving its stated goal of becoming a strong and prosperous nation, North Korea has instead increasingly isolated and impoverished its people through its ill-advised pursuit of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery.

The danger posed by North Korea’s threatening activities warrants further swift and credible action by the international community.  The United States will also continue to take steps necessary to defend ourselves and our allies. We will strengthen close coordination with allies and partners and work with our Six-Party partners, the United Nations Security Council, and other UN member states to pursue firm action. ".  The a readout of a telephone call with the President of South Korea, " The President spoke to Republic of Korea President Lee Myung-bak this morning to consult and coordinate on the response to North Korea’s announced nuclear test.  The two leaders condemned this highly provocative violation of North Korea’s international obligations.  They agreed to work closely together, including at the United Nations Security Council, to seek a range of measures aimed at impeding North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs and reducing the risk of proliferation.  President Obama unequivocally reaffirmed that the United States remains steadfast in its defense commitments to the Republic of Korea, including the extended deterrence offered by the U.S. nuclear umbrella.  The President also thanked President Lee for his leadership and friendship over the past four years and pledged to work closely with President-elect Park to further strengthen U.S.-ROK cooperation. ".

Lets Get Real:

And the end result folks, 0, and North Korea get away with it again, China can not afford to really cut off North Korea as the Regime might fall, sending millions of starving North Koreans over the border, South Korea and Japan have to hope if it comes down to it that the US will protect its allies.    This disaster is US Foreign Policy is not the fault of President Obama, it goes back to the Clinton Administration, when Carter blind sided President Clinton with a agreement framework that should have stopped North Korea going nuclear, of course North Korea did not keep its word and every Administration after that has been blackmailed by the Stalinist Regime.    The big fear in the US is that North Korea will sell its technical developments to Iran, thus causing a regional war in the Middle East.   Thus as stated in my tweets of this morning, China needs to act over its suppose ally and the following developing crisis's could sink a 2nd Obama term, North Korea, Syria and finally Iran, and Iran is the ace in the pack folks, if Tehran goes nuclear it does not matter what else Obama does, history will blame him for that massive disaster in US national security. 

Iran and Syria - Syrian Update PT3

Telegraph: Reports the following from the Syrian crisis, " Iran and its Lebanese-based ally, Hizbollah, are reportedly trying to build a network of militias inside Syria to protect their interests there in case President Bashar al-Assad falls. ".

Lets Get Real:

Thus folks the reason that that Oval can not afford to wait on events, if the Assad Regime falls in the near future the Tehran Regime can not be allowed to create another Lebanese type Civil War in Syria, it should be recalled that the Civil War in Lebanon had the seeds of the Iran - Contra affair, so the Oval can get hurt folks.  What if Al Qaeda combined with Tehran start a low level War with Israel, but using chemical weapons, this would suite Tehran, the World would have its eyes on Syria while Tehran goes for the bomb.    Does the Oval want Iran to get the bomb on the Obama watch, that would be a disaster of the Oval and for Democrats.    The Oval thinks that Syria will go away, it wont folks, this Bosnia all over again, but could get worse, we are talking about chemical weapons folks and the types of  people that would use them against Israel, a very close US ally.   Thus watch this space folks, one can say that in 2013 Syria and Iran will dominate the Oval. 

Al Qaeda and the Syrian Revolt - Syrian Update PT2

Guardian: Reports that an Al Qaeda linked Syrian rebel group has taken over the largest dam in Syria.

Lets Get Real:

Folks the idea must cause horror even in the Oval, that Al Qaeda gets the credit for getting rid of President Assad, that is nightmare for Syria, Israel and the US, it would be a disaster for US Foreign Policy, if Secretary Kerry wants to show a backbone he should march in to the OVAL and demand that POTUS arms Western supporting rebels in Syria, the present support of non arms is not working, if Syria goes for  friendly Al Qaeda Government and the secular Government of Pakistan falls to the Taliban of Pakistan after the US leaves Afghanistan in 2014 the West is in a World of hurt and so is the Oval.  Lets recalls that the Truman Administration was blamed for years by the Republicans for losing China to the Communists, Obama can not afford to let that happen to Syria and Pakistan.    What ever a US President wants, is not what he gets to deal with most of the time, the Oval wants to take the US to the left, but the World does not care for the wants of ego mad US President, yes that is President Obama,  a crisis defines the Oval, not the many views of the OVAL, thus Syria matters folks, so does Iran, and its about time the Oval grew up and fast.  Its not the great liberal reforms of the Great Society that LBJ is recalled for folks, its for Vietnam, time that Oval did a course on foreign policy and not be marked on a curve, time for reality to get through to the Oval. 

Syrian Crisis - Update

BBC News: Reports that Syrian rebels have taken over the largest dam in Syria.

Lets Get Real:

If true this would be a major loss for the Assad Regime, one can see the rebel strategy, close down the Assad  Regime to Damascus, cut off all escape routes and force internal tensions in the Assad Regime.  Those still loyal to Assad must know that its a matter of time, if Assad tries to use chemical weapons the US and Israel will take action and its over, if Assad tries to send his weapons of mass destruction to Lebanon the Israeli Government will strike as it did of late.   The Assad Regime is kept going by Iran, the Tehran Regime knows that if Assad falls it loses influence in the Region and can not strike Israel through Lebanon or help its terrorist allies in Gaza.   It has come out that POTUS was under pressure from his National Security Council to arm the  Syrian rebels, this was rebuffed by the Oval, this might have been shown to have been a major mistake, if the rebels take over with the support of Al Qaeda then the Oval and Israel has a major problem on its hands.   The idea that the Syrian problem will go away is foolish, only a ego maniac who has won the Noble Prize for dong nothing would think of that, lets see who could that be, could start with the word Oval.   Syria could be a major disaster for the Oval Office folks, and it started in the 1st term.
