US Gun Control - Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

Those that read this blog know its opinion on Americans having guns, they should not have them, only the Police and State Forces should have them.  The gun crime in the US is out of control.  The New York Law stated that those with guns should have proper cause to carry them in public, that looks like a very sane law.  One can only hope that when the Democrats start winning more Presidential Elections that they can appoint LIBERAL Judges to the Supreme Court, or the US Congress should pass new tougher gun laws.  For that to happen, the Democrats must have middle of the road candidate not far out liberals.  One really has to worry about abortion rights now, how far will the Court go on that, we await their decision. 

The need for TOUGH Gun Control in the US - Election 2020

Lets Get Real:

There needs to be tough gun control in the US, there is no reason for there to be so many handguns or other weapons out there.  Only the Police and other authorities should have guns.  One can see the argument for guns on ranches, and for the Army and the National Guard to have guns, but why anyone else needs guns is a mystery.  If you had a strong President who would take the political attack to gun owners then you might get somewhere, Trump will not, and neither will the US Congress,  money is the mothers milk in politics and the Congress is always in campaign mode.  It would take a BRAVE Congress to ban guns except for the groups above, thus will not holding my breath.    The US has move to restrict gun ownership.

President Trump should use this moment to get Democrats and moderate Republicans to support strict gun control, there is no need for Americans to have easy access to weapons, the Founding Fathers would be appalled that innocent Americans are being killed daily by weapons bought in a local store.   Thus time for the US to come together and restrict guns, innocent blood is on the floor in Vegas, time for action and leadership from Trump. 

Tragedy in Las Vegas - Mass Shooting

There needs to be tighter gun control in the US, the gun lobby is too powerful in the US, the National Rifle Association gives millions to US Politicians in the US, the US Supreme Court or the Congress needs to learn from Las Vegas, guns should be harder to come by, their selling should be restricted to the Army and Law enforcement and to Farmers and those that hold Cattle.   This kind of tragedy should be the last in the US, time the White House, Congress and the Courts got its ACT together.

Thus the Donald has upset the Republicans again, this time with his call all for gun control, one has to wonder WHY NOW, why not yesterday, that is easy, the Trump Camp saw that the Donald was getting hit by the White House and Hillary Clinton and could not deal with the attacks, thus his new policy on guns.    In reality it could be argued that HRC, President Obama and the Donald are on the same side, the Republicans in the Senate and the House will not be happy, the NRA supports them with money, they do not want to see any threats to gun rights, they see liberal policy as the first step to remove weapons from US Citizens.   This blog supports tough gun control, there is no need for Americans to have guns, its the job of the police and State police to help and support people.   The only other body to have guns should be the National Guard and the US Army.    There is no need for guns in US at all.

An Act of International or Domestic TERROR in Florida

At this moment it's to early to say if the attack at the nightclub was domestic or international terror, it will take the local police some time to talk to those that were there, search the background of the murder.   One has often found that the original information is wrong thus this blog will wait in till there a clear picture of the events of the night and the background to the case.   IF it is international terror of any kind the US will have to ACT, but lets wait and see.

On this policy HRC and the Democrats are right, there needs to be a tough law on the owning of guns, in fact outside of the Police Force, the Army and Sport events NO American should have a need of a private gun.   If you remove the guns from the civic society and from daily use then guns will not be the first answer to problems.   NEED FOR TOUGH GUN LAWS.

The perfect candidate for 2016, a fiscal conservative who has stood up to the unions, and moderate enough to get back those Reagan Democrats the Republican Party needs to take the White House.   The Christie Campaign should start to make plans to visit Iowa over 2014, then have discreet talks with a Tea Party favourite to take the VP spot, in fact if the Christie Campaign is clever it should start to close the field down NOW for 2016, the Democrats on mass are going for Hillary Clinton, the Republican Establishment does not need a long drawn out Campaign for 2016, limited debates, do not give arrows to the other side, Governor Christie could well be the new Ronald Reagan. 

Obama on D.C Murders - Gun Control

The White House: President Obama on the murders at the Washington Navy Yard, " Before I begin, let me say a few words about the tragedy that's unfolding not far away from here at the Washington Navy Yard.  That's part of why our event today was delayed.

I’ve been briefed by my team on the situation.  We still don’t know all the facts, but we do know that several people have been shot, and some have been killed.  So we are confronting yet another mass shooting -- and today, it happened on a military installation in our nation’s capital. 

It’s a shooting that targeted our military and civilian personnel.  These are men and women who were going to work, doing their job, protecting all of us. They’re patriots, and they know the dangers of serving abroad -- but today, they faced unimaginable violence that they wouldn't have expected here at home. 

So we offer our gratitude to the Navy and local law enforcement, federal authorities, and the doctors who’ve responded with skill and bravery.  I’ve made it clear to my team that I want the investigation to be seamless, so that federal and local authorities are working together.  And as this investigation moves forward, we will do everything in our power to make sure whoever carried out this cowardly act is held responsible.   

In the meantime, we send our thoughts and prayers to all at the Navy Yard who’ve been touched by this tragedy.  We thank them for their service.  We stand with the families of those who’ve been harmed.  They’re going to need our love and support.  And as we learn more about the courageous Americans who died today -- their lives, their families, their patriotism -- we will honor their service to the nation they helped to make great.  And obviously, we're going to be investigating thoroughly what happened, as we do so many of these shootings, sadly, that have happened, and do everything that we can to try to prevent them. Folks even on this very sad day, our thoughts are with the families of those that have lost loved ones, this blog will look at the political implications, if this is a domestic criminal case, and the issue is how the suspects got guns then the Oval should push for extreme gun control, if the Oval can not get the issue off the floor with this kind of case then it NEVER will folks.    On the other hand if the FBI find its a terrorist case, the third after, Libya, Boston the Oval has a problem, it would show that the slogan of the 2012 Obama Campaign, that OBL was dead and that Al Qaeda was finished was a false and miss leading claim, the Republicans would make sure that the issue would never go away, that is Chicago politics at its worse folks.   Lets see what the FBI finds folks.

Telegraph - D.C Live: Reports the latest from Washington D.C, " One gunman killed and potentially two others at large after shooting at US Navy yard in Washington, resulting in deaths of at least 12 people. ".

Guardian - D.C Live: Reports the latest from D.C, " One of the two men DC police had identified as potential suspects is no longer a person of interest... ".

Lets Get Real:

The Police in Washington D.C are looking for suspects but you know folks that the extreme left wants this to be a domestic terror attack, it would allow them to argue for greater gun control.  As this blog is for extreme gun control both sides of the pond it would support such moves by the State and Federal Government.    On the other hand the right will want it to be a domestic/external terrorist attack, as to remove the argument for gun control.   It is sad folks but that is the US of today, everything is political, we will have to wait for the motives, when this blog first heard the news, it thought it was a domestic crime, there is a pattern of deep violence in American culture, supported by a artistic film and TV culture, that shows the first reaction is the gun.      The case is on going folks, lets see what the FBI finds folks. 

Regulating Guns in the US - 2nd Obama Term

Lets Get Real:

The Oval and the Democrats should have taken the political heat and push for very strict gun laws, the US does not need millions of guns out there, the US Citizen on the whole can always call on the Police or private security for protection.   The Democrats on the Hill are worried about the 2014 Mid Term Elections and then the Presidential election of 2016, in other words politics is more important than saving lives.    The Oval should have made gun regulation a legacy quest, it should have kept the issue on the Hill in till the Congress was willing to save US Citizens from gun violence, the UK has very strict gun laws and is a better society for it, yes there are killings with guns, but its rare, on this issue this blog is very firm, its better to lose an election doing the right thing than allowing people die, shame on the US Congress and the Oval.

Lets Get Real:

The point of Presidential leadership is to take a major political risk, LBJ kept civil rights on the Hill in till it was passed, even knowing that the Republicans would benefit in the long term, the article notes that Conservative Democrats are not going to support major gun reform as they would be finished back home, that was the argument that LBJ faced, but he knew how to get Congress to pass things that hurt, Obama is not that popular with Democrats, never mind Republicans, he thinks if he argues the case he can win people over, so far a majority of Americans still do not support ObamaCare, wait in till their taxes go up to pay for it, on this issue the Oval has to go 100% for gun control, only the military, police and sport men/women should have guns, and those that ranch.    There is no reason for the average man or woman on main street to have a gun, its a matter of public health, less people shot, less time Doctors have to deal with the issue, the same goes for the crime rate.   The liberals in the Democratic Party should force the Oval to 100% for massive and complete gun control, it will not be easy, it will be hard, and it will cost, but its the right thing to do, time for the Oval to lead.
