There was talk that Trump would not mind being temporary Speaker of the House, that has faded with this news from Trump.  Jordan would follow the whims of Donald Trump and will go ahead with the impeachment of President Biden should Trump want it.   Thus far a lot of smoke from the impeachment inquiry but no hard facts as CNN keeps saying.  The Republican nomination fight is looking like a coronation for Trump, Haley or DeSantis have to take the fight to Trump, take him down before Iowa and New Hampshire.  Otherwise it is a re-match between Trump and Biden. It will lead to the same result, a Biden win, the Ukraine needs American money and weapons to win.

Lets Get Real:

The Democrats might have won a short term victory, but look at the results, the leading Democrats have LOST their private offices, the barbarians, the extreme right of the Republican will be in control of the House.  A weak Speaker in debt to the Democrats have been a better option.  The House has to approve funding for the Ukraine, Kyiv needs the funds, also as CNN reports that arms from Iran that the US has taken will be sent to Ukraine.  As stated previously Iran is giving drones to the Russians,  so arms from Tehran will be supporting both sides.  Tehran will not be happy and could take more US hostages as a reaction.  The vote for a new Speaker will be next Wednesday, it will be interesting to see who stands.

This is all about Matt Gaetz wanting to get rid of the Speaker, because they do not like each other, its personal.   Matt Gaetz did state that he was worried about the national debt, he has a point, but everyone knows its personal hatred, there for he has only a few supporters, but all he needs is 5 members of the Republican majority to support him, then the Speaker it out, as long as Democrats support the motion, will they sit on their ands or save the Speaker because of the Ukraine.  politics at this micro level in fun, no one can be trusted!!

The Speaker was ousted , the first time in history, 8 of fellow Republicans voted against him and the Democrats took short term pleasure in getting rid of the Speaker, the results is that the House is on pause, and Former Speaker Pelosi has lost her private office.  One of the candidates to replace McCarthy has already said that he opposes further funding for the Ukraine.  As Spiderman says, with great power comes responsibility, the Democrats would have been better off with a weakened Speaker in debt to the Democrats.  Thus the Democrats and Republicans have failed at basic politics.

One can see an outline of a DEAL, POTUS get his funding, but the Democrats do not help the right wing of the Republican Party get rid of the Speaker, and the deal should include border protection, that might be a hard thing for the left to agree too.  Biden is an old hand at making DEALS, lets  see how the sausage is made on the Hill.   Biden must be aware that funding could be an issue in 2024, he has to stress it through 2024, its about Democracy and defeating Putin in the Ukraine and preventing WW3 over Poland and the Baltic States.  Also Biden needs to get his polls up, otherwise he could lose to Trump, that would be massive disaster to the US and Western Europe.  Its late for the Biden Campaign to get its adverts out, Putin might try to help Trump, by stating he would agree peace terms with Trump in the White House, that might find favour with the US voters.

Of all the Courts that Trump faces, its this civil trial that gets to him, his image is his money and the success he has had in business.  The prospect of jail time does not seem to unnerve him much, that will never happen, the job of the Secret Service ,is to protect the President and the former President for up to 10 years.  The Secret Service could never allow Trump to be taken to a prison, that would make him a martyr on the right wing of the Republican Party, and the Democrats would pay a heavy price, there in no Gerald Ford in the White House who could  stop these Federal Trials with a stroke of his pen.  The 2024 match up looks like is it on, in less one of the Republican candidates can take Iowa or New Hampshire in 2024.  Trump would a disaster in a 2nd Term, in less US voters want to put two fingers up to the press and the liberal elite, it could happen.

The Conservative RIGHT in the Republican Majority are right on one issue, the borders need to be controlled, one of the Anchors on CNN even got that, the liberal elite, press, liberal left in the Congress want open borders, no Country can have that, it destroyed the Roman Empire and is causing problems in the UK and Europe.  The borders need  to be secured, the Ukraine needs US and Western support, and Putin needs to be taken down by the West, like Reagan took down the USSR in the long term.  President Biden is only getting this blog's support for that reason, the Republicans need to find their inner Reagan. 

UPDATE: The US Government was not shutdown, the Speaker made a deal with the Democrats, the stop gap measure does not have funding for the Ukraine.   The Speakers job is on the line, will the extreme right vote to remove him, and how will the Democrats vote.  Interesting few days on the Hill.

2nd Republican Presidential Debate AT the Reagan Presidential Library - 2024 Candidate/2024 General Election

The 2nd Republican Debate is at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, it normally has the candidates standing by Reagan's Air Force One, former President Trump is snubbing the event, that is enough for the Republicans not to vote for him.  The former President is in Michigan, he wants Union votes for 2024.  The blog expecting good things from Governor Haley and Senator Tim Scott, they have to come out fighting, go after Trump and get a good 2nd in either Iowa or New Hampshire, otherwise it will be Biden vs Trump again, and all good people will have to vote for Biden, yes this blog knows he is gaga, but he supports the Ukraine, the real candidates in the Republican race have to come out against Trump over his weak policy towards Russia and the Ukraine, Reagan would  have supported the Ukraine and been tougher than Biden on Russia.
