White House: Reports on the readout of a call between POTUS and the President of the Ukraine, " President Biden spoke today with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine about the ongoing work by the United States and its allies and partners to deliver military, economic, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and to impose severe costs on Russia for its brutal aggression against Ukraine. The leaders discussed how the United States is working around the clock to fulfill the main security assistance requests by Ukraine, the critical effects those weapons have had on the conflict, and continued efforts by the United States with allies and partners to identify additional capabilities to help the Ukrainian military defend its country. In addition, President Biden informed President Zelenskyy that the United States intends to provide the Ukrainian government with $500 million in direct budgetary aid. He also reviewed the additional sanctions and humanitarian assistance announced last week. President Zelenskyy updated President Biden on the status of Ukraine’s negotiations with Russia.  "

Lets Get Real:

As long as the West, in this case the US supports the KYIV Government in all of its needs the Russians can never win, of course the problem is that you cannot trust the word of the Russians, they have stated that they saw nothing new in the talks happening in Turkey and also they have increased the bombing of the towns in the Ukraine.  Does Putin have the will and backbone to go all the way, that is the real worry, will he use WMD in Ukraine, and should he do that what will be the reaction of the US, NATO and how will the people of Russia feel about going over that red line, there is no way Putin could keep that a secret, in this modern age.  One can postulate that even POTUS knows that if Russia goes over that line, that POTUS would have to react, a European War is one thing, the Russians using, WMD, in the form of chemicals or nuclear would make the Biden Oval and 10 Downing Street react, the question is what they will do and is that threat been made clear to Putin and Kremlin officials.  The WAR of attrition will take time, while that is going on, the Russian economy is in the toilet and the people of Russia will feel like they have become the number one rogue nation on the planet, will they support that over the long term, and the sanctions will hit hard over the days, weeks and months.  Also the Russian Army has shown itself to be inept, will the young men and women of Russia answer the draft call, for a war that is going very bad, just think of the protests in the US during the Vietnam War, also people injured in the War will start to come back, their stories will be heard even is whispers in Russia.  A bad war led to the end of the Imperial Russia and the death of Tsar Nicholas 11 and his family, will Putin risk that, or has has lost the plot? .

Any leaders needs someone who will tell them the TRUTH, the unvarnished TRUTH, the reality around the CROWN.  If Putin is being told untruths about the War by his officials, he should A. find that OUT, B. do something about it, C. in the case of Putin, he needs to get his troops out of Ukraine and FAST.   The Kremlin should agree to the demands of the KYIV Government, it is a good deal and it will be up to the EU and the West to rebuild the Ukraine, it has been costed in economic terms that the damage by the Russians comes out at nearly a hundred billion.  The damage to Russia is great, it losses IN the WAR and loss of credibility with the West and the fact that the Russian economy is in the toilet.  Putin needs someone he likes and cannot fire or kill.

Lets Get Real:

The Russians and Ukrainian sides are talking form different perspectives, are the Russians being their natural gloomy self's or have the Ukrainian side been in the same meetings.  The Russians say nothing has really happened at the talks, thus they are still bombing the Ukraine, while the people on the ground in the Ukraine are seeing further bombing and worse than before.  One can speculate that the Russians are playing a double game, they want some good news, thus the talks, but are sending the real message to their people, that nothing has developed to stop the War.   Of course the Russians might be sending their delegation to talk and waffle on while the Russians bomb Kyiv, to distract the West, who might have to learn  that Russian invasion of the Ukraine will take time, and endless talks as was the case in Bosnia in the 1990s.

BBC News - Live Blog: Reports in its 1.11pm post the following, " the Kremlin says there’s no sign of a breakthrough in the continuing peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.....Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has been telling reporters that Russia had not noticed "anything really promising," adding there was a long period of work ahead....the governor of Ukraine's Chernihiv region says there is no let-up in attacks by Russia, despite its pledge to reduce military activity there....The Ukrainian governor in Donetsk also says there has been Russian shelling along all the cities and towns on the front line that separates the two sides. Shelling is also reported in the Luhansk region.  "

Lets Get Real:

The above shows that the Russians can never be trusted, they want a WAR of attrition , they want to wear down the Kyiv Forces, as stated this is going to be like World War 1, 1914 - 18, and let's recall the Germans were the first to use gas, so Putin might decide to use chemical weapons on Mariupol or Chernihiv, Putin has nothing to lose, the idea that he will be having a hand shake with the US President or the UK PM is for fantasy land, that is not on the cards in the future, it would look bad to Western voters, that their leaders are with a WAR CRIMINAL in a meeting, thus Putin has made sure he is the number one rogue nation, invading a DEMOCRATIC STATE and his LIES to the West.  The West has to find a way to get tanks and fighter jets to the Kyiv Government, also they have to keep up sanctions, the Putin inner circle might be all right but the Russian people on the street have seen their roubles hit rock bottom, and the economy is in the toilet.

There are negotiations that continued today, one in Turkey and others.  "

Lets Get Real:

POTUS is right to be cautious, the Russians lied pre invading the Ukraine, how many times as President Macron phoned PUTIN and been give the run around.  The Russian Bear can never be trusted, the Russians broke INF Treaty, a foundation of nuclear disarmament by cheating, the US was right to revoke the agreement, the Russians can neve be trusted, thus we shall see if the Russian Army cuts back on its bombing of Kyiv and Chernihiv, it has been stated that Chernihiv was becoming another Mariupol, and what what about Mariupol, will the Russians allow the people to leave, will they stop the bombing.   It what's the Russians do that counts, the next few hours and days should tell us what the Russians are really up too in the Ukraine.  The West has to be wary that any PEACE DEAL will be short term and that Russia will try again under Putin to invade the Ukraine and the US and the UK will be left to fight back, as part of the security guarantee,  in other words WW3.

Biden, Jr. spoke today with President Emmanuel Macron of France, Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany, Prime Minister Mario Draghi of Italy, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson of the United Kingdom.  The leaders affirmed their determination to continue raising costs on Russia for its brutal attacks in Ukraine, as well as to continue supplying Ukraine with security assistance to defend itself against this unjustified and unprovoked assault.  They reviewed their efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to the millions affected by the violence, both inside Ukraine and seeking refuge in other countries, and underscored the need for humanitarian access to civilians in Mariupol. They also discussed the importance of supporting stable energy markets in light of current disruptions due to sanctions.  "

Lets Get Real:

The US has been cautious about the progress of PEACE TALKS between Russia and the Ukraine, the Ukraine side stated that the most important issue was that there had to be security guarantees from the West if Ukraine agreed never to join NATO and was neutral.  That security guarantee would come from the UK and the US, in other words it would be forever 1939 Poland for the US and the UK, as Putin could regroup and build up his forces for another try in a few years.   The Ukraine side also stated that the future of the CRIMEA would be placed in the long grass for the next 15 years.  The question is will Putin take that kind of deal, and what about of the Eastern provinces would he get, there is also the problem that ANY DEAL would go before the voters of the Ukraine, it would be fair to say would they agree to these concessions after the human losses and the destruction of the infrastructure of the Ukraine.   They might support such a move, but they would need for the UK and the US to make sure that should Putin ever have a rethink that they have to come to support the Ukraine, it has to be a legal treaty and set in stone.  Will POTUS get that through the Congress, and will the UK Parliament support such a move.  FOREVER POLAND 1939.

What the Russians say and do are two different things, the have LIED, LIED since the start of the CRISIS, why the French President wants to keep talking to Putin is anybody's guess, of course he has an election coming up and wants to be seen as international stateman, nice try but he looks foolish, he is talking to a WAR CRIMINAL, who has lied to his face and make him look foolish when he made him sit at a very long table away from President Putin.   The Russians are past masters at fake news, they want the WEST to think that they are changing their bad strategy, it has been postulated that the RUSSIANS are refreshing their troops for a bigger battle over KYIV and to the WEST, it was suggested yesterday that the Russians are trying to create a West and East Ukraine, as in Korea.  The KYIV Government an Army have to stop that with the support of the West.
