The Cameron WOBBLE - Syria Crisis 3

Telegraph: Reports the following on House of Commons session tomorrow, " Ed Miliband forced David Cameron to abandon his timetable for military action against Syria tonight after threatening to vote against the plan in the Commons, Labour sources said. ".

Lets Get Real:

One has to ask does PM Cameron have that much time left at  10 Downing Street, to be faced down by a wimp like Ed Miliband shows how weak Cameron is with his own Party, can you see a Thatcher or a Churchill putting up with any kind resistance when it came to the International Stage,  Cameron should have faced down his troublesome MPs, Assad will now think that there might be no attack, thus the US should state its going, with or without allies, then force Miliband to chose, be on the same page as those against WMD or the same page as Assad and Russia,  that being the only CHOICE,  the Conservative Party should start to look for a new leader, if this the best Cameron can do he is no fit leader, oh for the glory days of the 80s.

Lets Get Real:

The US with the allies of the willing, this would include France and Turkey should not wait for the UK, the Labour Party under Ed Miliband is gun shy, even if the UN inspectors find that WMD was used you can postulated that a lot of Labour MPs will not vote for action, over the past few days the BBC, the in house broadcaster for the left has been spouting its anti Iraq stand for days.    The elite left is stuck in the Iraq War, back bench Conservative MPs are just stuck in a appease mode, it takes a Churchill or a Thatcher kick them up the backside.   The US and its allies should just strike, the more we see a delay the more Assad thinks he has won.    This is time for Obama to carry a big stick, he wanted the job, he is President of the United States, he does not need the approval of windbags like Ed Miliband or no backbone Conservative MPs. 

UK Labour WOBBLE over Syria - Syria Crisis

BBC News: Reports that " Labour will oppose the government over action in Syria, unless UN inspectors provide evidence the Syrian regime carried out a chemical attack. ".

Thus folks we are seeing the cracks in the political establishment, the left wing, and this includes the BBC have been spouting resistance to a War for days, every time this blog has looked at the BBC they have had those on that oppose doing anything, its like the 1930s all over again, all the BBC wants to do is appease, lets be honest the BBC has never been pro UK, the cancer of left wing thought has reached its soul, it it ever had a soul, do you think the Government in World War 2 would have tolerated this almost pathetic need to give more air to the other side than to what is right.   Labour after Iraq under Tony Blair is gun shy, its leader Ed Miliband is a wet blanket that will lead Labour to general election disaster, thus he is owned by the left wing and the Unions.   If PM Cameron losses tomorrow's vote he will have to go, he would have lost his authority, the US should just attack with France, and Turkey, who would have thought that the UK would so much of a yellow streak.   Shame on the UK. 

A Statement for War - Secretary Kerry

The Full Statement by US Secretary of State, John Kerry: " Well, for the last several days President Obama and his entire national security team have been reviewing the situation in Syria, and today I want to provide an update on our efforts as we consider our response to the use of chemical weapons.

What we saw in Syria last week should shock the conscience of the world. It defies any code of morality. Let me be clear: The indiscriminate slaughter of civilians, the killing of women and children and innocent bystanders, by chemical weapons is a moral obscenity. By any standard it is inexcusable, and despite the excuses and equivocations that some have manufactured, it is undeniable.

The meaning of this attack goes beyond the conflict in Syria itself, and that conflict has already brought so much terrible suffering. This is about the large-scale, indiscriminate use of weapons that the civilized world long ago decided must never be used at all – a conviction shared even by countries that agree on little else. There is a clear reason that the world has banned entirely the use of chemical weapons. There is a reason the international community has set a clear standard and why many countries have taken major steps to eradicate these weapons. There is a reason why President Obama has made it such a priority to stop the proliferation of these weapons and lock them down where they do exist. There is a reason why President Obama has made clear to the Assad regime that this international norm cannot be violated without consequences. And there is a reason why no matter what you believe about Syria, all peoples and all nations who believe in the cause of our common humanity must stand up to assure that there is accountability for the use of chemical weapons so that it never happens again.

Last night after speaking with foreign ministers from around the world about the gravity of this situation, I went back and I watched the videos, the videos that anybody can watch in the social media, and I watched them one more gut-wrenching time. It is really hard to express in words the human suffering that they lay out before us. As a father, I can’t get the image out of my head of a man who held up his dead child, wailing while chaos swirled around him; the images of entire families dead in their beds without a drop of blood or even a visible wound; bodies contorting in spasms; human suffering that we can never ignore or forget. Anyone who can claim that an attack of this staggering scale could be contrived or fabricated needs to check their conscience and their own moral compass.

What is before us today is real, and it is compelling. So I also want to underscore that while investigators are gathering additional evidence on the ground, our understanding of what has already happened in Syria is grounded in facts informed by conscience and guided by common sense. The reported number of victims, the reported symptoms of those who were killed or injured, the firsthand accounts from humanitarian organizations on the ground like Doctors Without Borders and the Syria Human Rights Commission – these all strongly indicate that everything these images are already screaming at us is real, that chemical weapons were used in Syria.

Moreover, we know that the Syrian regime maintains custody of these chemical weapons. We know that the Syrian regime has the capacity to do this with rockets. We know that the regime has been determined to clear the opposition from those very places where the attacks took place. And with our own eyes, we have all of us become witnesses.

We have additional information about this attack, and that information is being compiled and reviewed together with our partners, and we will provide that information in the days ahead.

Our sense of basic humanity is offended not only by this cowardly crime but also by the cynical attempt to cover it up. At every turn, the Syrian regime has failed to cooperate with the UN investigation, using it only to stall and to stymie the important effort to bring to light what happened in Damascus in the dead of night. And as Ban Ki-moon said last week, the UN investigation will not determine who used these chemical weapons, only whether such weapons were used – a judgment that is already clear to the world.

I spoke on Thursday with Syrian Foreign Minister Muallim and I made it very clear to him that if the regime, as he argued, had nothing to hide, then their response should be immediate – immediate transparency, immediate access – not shelling. Their response needed to be unrestricted and immediate access. Failure to permit that, I told him, would tell its own story.

Instead, for five days, the Syrian regime refused to allow the UN investigators access to the site of the attack that would allegedly exonerate them. Instead, it attacked the area further, shelling it and systematically destroying evidence. That is not the behavior of a government that has nothing to hide. That is not the action of a regime eager to prove to the world that it had not used chemical weapons. In fact, the regime’s belated decision to allow access is too late, and it’s too late to be credible. Today’s reports of an attack on the UN investigators, together with the continued shelling of these very neighborhoods, only further weakens the regime’s credibility.

At President Obama’s direction, I’ve spent many hours over the last few days on the phone with foreign ministers and other leaders. The Administration is actively consulting with members of Congress and we will continue to have these conversations in the days ahead. President Obama has also been in close touch with the leaders of our key allies, and the President will be making an informed decision about how to respond to this indiscriminate use of chemical weapons. But make no mistake: President Obama believes there must be accountability for those who would use the world’s most heinous weapons against the world’s most vulnerable people. Nothing today is more serious and nothing is receiving more serious scrutiny.  ".

Lets Get Real:

This is a WAR SPEECH folks, lets hope President Obama can bring passion to his remarks when he states the action taken by the US, and folks there will be action, the next step will be up to Assad, DO NOTHING in return or  INVITE the US in to the Syrian Civil War with an attack on a US friend in the region.  Time will tell folks.

Guardian - Syria Live: Reports in its 8.15pm post more of the statement by Secretary Kerry, the Secretary stated the following on Syria, " ..he makes the case that the Assad regime carried out the attack, and anyone who argues that they did not happen "needs to check their conscience and their own moral compass.".

One has to wonder how the liberal left is going to take that statement, so action with Russia and China opposed, no UN approval, one can postulate that the elite liberal left will cover for Obama, no change there folks, this time they will be right to do it, the liberal left elite have to get over their hatred for Bush 43 and the Iraq War, you can not live in the past forever, also the Oval does not want to be on the same page as Assad and Neville Chamberlain, being an appeaser might make you fans at the liberal NYT, history writers is another matter, you can not hide the use of WMD under the carpet, thus the expected action by the Oval.  Lets see what the results are folks. 

Syrian USE of Chemical Weapons a "moral obscenity" - Secretary Kerry

BBC News: Reports on a very powerful statement by US Secretary of State John Kerry that called the use of chemical weapons by the Assad Regime a morale obscenity. 

Lets Get Real:

Thus folks this blog was wrong, this blogger thought that the Oval would try to get out of taking any action over Syria, well even the ego of this Oval can not over look the use of chemical weapons by the Assad Regime.   No US Secretary of State would make such a powerful statement  without action being the next step, one has to wonder how much pressure the Oval came under by PM Cameron and Secretary Kerry, if the Oval does not take action the Secretary would have to resign, his word would be no good in the international community if after such a statement there was no reaction.   Thus what is the next step folks, well the general feeling is that Kosovo is the example, but one new example as stated on the BBC was that it could be Libya of 1986, when the Reagan Administration did a one shot deal to get rid of Gaddafi.   The question is what will Assad DO after an attack, if clever nothing, on the other hand, an attack on Turkey or Israel would bring in the US in to the Syrian Civil War.   Thus we shall see folks. 

Obama Administration SPLIT over Syria - 2nd Term Blues

The New York Times: Reports the following from the Obama White House, " ..a sharply divided Obama administration on Thursday began weighing potential military responses to President Bashar al-Assad’s forces. ".

Lets Get Real:

Well folks if this blog is reading this article you can be sure that the Assad Regime will be reading it with joy, Obama as stated in previous posts is following a ritual, he says something must be done, needs more information, talks about UN ACTION, then NOTHING.   The OCD President, the split in the Obama Administration recalls when President Kennedy came back in August 1963 and found his Administration was falling apart over Vietnam; in that case it was to late, at Deputy level the Kennedy Administration had given the okay for the Generals in South Vietnam to get rid of the Government; lets hope the Oval has better control of the diplomatic cables.   Thus folks after a few days since the use of WMD, what has the West done, NOTHING, it will do NOTHING, that is what you get when you elect a Harvard lawyer as President, does recall President Wilson, he was slow in to WW1 and messed up the ending.   Those that will suffer in the days,weeks, months ahead will be the poor people of Syria.
