The US Special Counsel can not get a case that the Trump team worked with the Russians to help Trump win the Presidency in 2016, so they are going for the idea that Trump Obstructed Justice by firing the Director of the FBI and tried to obstruct justice by his actions once he was in power.   If this blog was Trump and really wanted to save his skin, he would fire the Special Counsel, take the political heat and hope the case would go away in till the Mid Terms, the Democrats will try to impeach Trump no matter what, the hard left of the Party wants it, the Senate in the key, if the Republicans can keep the Senate Republican then Trump can do a Clinton, charged by the House but found not guilty by the Senate.   History does have way of repeating itself.

The the latest in the Trump news cycle, the Democrats are never going to get OVER losing in 2016, they will fish for anything to get Trump, very much like the Democrats wanted to get Richard Nixon.   The President should FIRE the Special Prosecutor, the main job was to see if the Russians and the Trump Campaign worked together in 2016, thus far NO information has surfaced to say that happened.   The SP is fishing for anything to justify his salary, it is reported that his staff is made of lawyers who gave money to the Democrats.  The Oval Office should say to hell with it, fire the SP and the Deputy AG if he will not follow the order, then let's see what happens.  The US can not go through another three years of this kind of mess.

As noted in my previous post the next question to be asked by the main stream media is what did President Trump know and when was he informed of the substance of the talks between Flynn and the Russian Ambassador.   It can be argued that CNN has become the liberal opposition, if to go by their prime time coverage, this blogger is still waiting for a positive story from CNN about Trump, it is not holding its breath.   It might be time for the Trump Administration to get tougher on Iran and North Korea, if nothing else it's the right policy and and would divert attention.   In case some liberal writers are starting to say that this blog is calling for a War in the Middle East or Asia is to miss the point, both Iran and North Korea need to be taught a lesson, they have pushed the US to far over the years, it could be argued that the US should take out the missile compounds in Iran and warn North Korea than any new missile test will to some kind of military action.   As for Russia, let the US get tougher, arm the Soldiers of East Ukraine.   That will really upset the elite press.

The Gipper had a few National Security Advisors, one every few years, it can be argued that it is good to have new blood in the team, okay 24 days is fast, one can argue that it is so early in the Administration that within a few months it will be forgotten, of course the Democrats on the Hill want to have Flynn before their Committees, they wish to further wound Trump, lets hope there is no more damaging news out there, the Democrats will want to know did the President okay the Russian calls and what did know about their substance.   The liberal 24/7 news channels will run with the story ALL day.   This is Christmas for them and it came early.

It will be interesting to see how the Russian policy of the Trump Administration develops, will it still seek a better relationship or will we return to the new Cold War 2.  Both Bush 43 and Obama 44 tried for a better relationship with Russia and failed, on the other hand Reagan called the then USSR an Evil Empire and was later accused of carrying water for Gorbachev after the Cold War has really come to an end.   Thus it might be an idea for Trump to be tough on Russia and see how it develops, if your seen as to nice at the start you get accused of being a threat to US national security, at least Reagan could say that he had been very tough on Russia, but changed policy with the coming of Gorbachev.

The uber liberal press and networks will have a field day with this resignation, they are after the Trump Presidency, the see Trump as a racist and anti woman, etc, thus any political wounding is all right in their books.   The Trump Oval should get a new long term NSA fast, one with a clean record and someone that the press will not dislike on his or her first day.   It has been argued that the White House Chief of Staff is weak and should go, that would be an over reaction, it takes time to bed in an Administration.   There great white shark that is D.C elite are always after new blood in the water, it is their idea of a soap opera.

What is surprising is that General Flynn forget that the NSA records calls from Washington D.C to Russia, they are everywhere and know all, so when Flynn forgot or mislead the Vice - President he should have know that the National Security Agency could have tripped him with the actual transcripts of the calls.   The Democrats will now be asking, how much did the President know and when did he find out.   Politics in the US has become a blood sport, its a favourite of Washington Elite.
