Conservatives vs. Labour on Brexit - GE1 - General Election 2019

Lets Get Real:

In a recent YouGov poll for the Sun the Conservative LEAD was down to 7%, the Party has to come out fighting, stress a vote for any other Party than Conservative would lead to a MARXIST becoming the UK's PM.  The Conservative Party should use it old 1979 political broadcasts to show what the Labour Party wants to return the UK too if they win in 2019.   A 7% is not bad, but will worry the Conservative campaign, anything under 10% looks like a risk to a Conservative majority in the House of Commons.  The Campaign has to get smarter and take on the REMAIN Labour and the Remain press TV and PRINT.   Let's be clear the campaign has not started yet, the Houses of Parliament have not been dissolved yet.

The Brexit Party vs. The Conservative Party - GE 3 - General Election 2019

Lets Get Real:

IF the HARD BREXIT Conservative MPs are standing with PM Boris, then the Brexit Party is shafted, these are the hardest of the HARD BREXIT MPs, they are not afraid of bucking the Party if they think they are right.  In this case they are supporting the PM, how can the Brexit Party really argue that they are more hardline that these MPs.  One has the feeling that Nigel Farage has allowed hubris to overtake him, once Brexit is done, what is the role for him, thus this attempt to threaten the Conservative Party with the threat that the Brexit Party could spoil the Party for the Conservative Party.  It is simple, if you vote BREXIT PARTY you are voting for Jeremy Corbyn.

The Brexit Party and the Election - GE2 - General Election 2019

Lets Get Real:

This is a BOLD move by Nigel Farage, the former leader of UKIP and now leader of the new BREXIT PARTY.  The Brexit Party did well in the Euro elections, but a Parliamentary system does not help them and they could split the Conservative vote and place Jeremy Corbyn in No 10 Downing Street.   Also PM Boris is a good campaigner and on the whole the voters do NOT BLAME him for the fact that we have not left the EU, they tend to blame the Labour Party and the HARD REMAINERS in the House of Commons. PM Boris should look at the idea from Farage, not make a hasty view, let's see what the polls say over the next two weeks, that is deadline that Farage has given the PM.  There is  LONG WAY TO GO.

General Election Polls - GE1 - General Election 2019

Lets Get Real:

This blog will be keeping an eye on the survation poll, in the 2017 it got the result pretty close to the actual result.  It should be noted that even this poll has the Conservatives on a 8% lead over Labour.  Of course polls are snapshots, they will go up and down, it will be interesting to see how the Brexit Party does, the Party started its election today with an offer of an alliance between the Party and the Conservative Party, it will be interesting to see how many Brexit Candidates challenge the Conservatives, as compared to Labour Seats.  Parliament is dissolved on Wednesday.

Biden FADING FAST in Iowa - US Election 2020

Lets Get Real:

The Biden campaign is in free fall, he is behind Mayor Pete, moderate and conservative Democrats might find that they have to support Mayor Pete to keep the Democrats having a moderate nominee.  The problem is that Mayor Pete has a " BLACK " problem, it seems that African - Americans are not keen on having a gay President, in SC in recent poll the Mayor had only 1% support from black voters.  The black vote is the one of the foundations of the Democratic vote, thus far they are keeping faith with VP Biden, but for how long.   If Warren takes Iowa and Sanders takes New Hampshire, then the former VP will have to to win SC or he is finished.  The former VP has to spend the next two months in Iowa and New Hampshire, he has to live in these two states for Christmas and the New Year.   It is ironic, the Trump scandal seems to have damaged Biden more than Trump, the Republican base is keeping with Trump, while the LEFT WING Democratic base has moved to the LEFT.

Sanders and Warren lead in New Hampshire - US Election 2020

Lets Get Real:

The question that has to be asked, is VP Biden finished, he leads in some national polls but in the States he has been overtaken by Sanders or Warren.  One has to assume that President Obama might need to have a word with his former VP, either to get in to the game or considering getting out of the race.  It can be postulated that Barack Obama legacy was hurt by the fact that Hillary Clinton did not win 2016, he does not want to see his VP defeated.   The only thing keeping Biden in the race is the support of the African - American vote, but will last if he loses Iowa and New Hampshire.  It can be argued that the Democratic Establishment should start thinking of getting another candidate, thus we come to HRC, she did win the popular vote in 2016 and she needs something to do, also one would have hoped she would have learned the lessons of 2016, listen to Bill Clinton more, he knows about winning elections.

UK General Election 12th of December - Part 2 - General Election 2019

Let's Get Real:

The last time a general election was held in December was in 1923, it lead to the formation of the first minority Labour Government.   The present Conservative Party has to fight this election based on a positive message, more funding for the NHS, more policemen on the street, lower taxes, and getting BREXIT DONE.   There will be endless polls, there will be ups and downs, also we have the debate between the leaders, PM Boris should be good at that.  There has to be Party discipline, keeping on a daily message, that a Corbyn Government would be a DISASTER for the UK and for Europe.  The stock market would tank if Corbyn was elected, the Russians would be happy, NATO would come under threat, Corbyn has stated that he would never order the UK to strike back if a rogue nation struck the UK with a nuclear missile.   This general election should also be about the defence of the UK.
