Also the consequences of invoking Article 16 will take time, do the Irish want a TRADE WAR before Christmas, and also the pressure from Brussels to place border posts up, the UK will follow the Good Friday Agreement, force the EU to cause problems in the province, that will look good for the EU, the EU has more to lose, it should cut a deal, even if the French are not happy, the French are never happy.
