One thing about the Conservative Party is when they see defeat they cut off the head of the leader and get a new one, thus the coup against Lady Thatcher and the succession of Sir John Major, it should be noted that Sir John become PM in 1990 and went on to win the 1992 General Election. The fact that the Labour Cabinet could see the writing on the wall and didn’t chop off Gordon Brown shows the right Party won the UK General Election in 2010.
