Lets Get Real:

How dare the Germans block the RAF from using its airspace to defend the Ukraine, the new German Government needs to be reminded that it is PART OF NATO, and who ever gave the the Germans the right to block UK actions in defence of democracy.  The Biden Oval should would never put up with such action, this type of things happen when you put a left wing Government in power, God knows what the new German Foreign Minister is saying to the Russians, let's hope we bug them!!  This type of appeasement leads to WAR, one understands why the Germans are treading carefully, World War 2 etc.   But this in 2022, and a democracy is at risk from a tyrant, one does hope that the Germans get that point.   If Putin thinks Germany is WEAK he will take action.  Why does history have to repeat itself, why do people never learn. 

The UK kit being sent to the Ukraine - Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

One does have to wonder if the UK had sent these kind of forces to Poland in 1939 would Hitler have invaded, would there have been World War 2 and the millions of deaths.  The UK is sending a FIRM WARNING, but has made it clear that it will not be sending troops, the Russian Army is to BIG, the only way the UK would be taking action is if Putin has gone MAD and attacks a NATO Country, then ALL BET ARE OFF, one doubts that will happen, the costs would be to far even for tyrant like Putin.  Thus one can expect more cyber attacks on the Ukraine, a small invasion to take the East Ukraine and absorb it in to the Russian Federation, that would bring the Russians very close to Poland, a NATO MEMBER.  Also one can expect more action on the borders of the Baltic States.  The question is what will buy Putin off and will the costs be to much for the Biden Oval and the West.

At last a power is doing something, small fry in the big picture, but it sends a message to the KREMLIN, the UK is NOW on the ground, the Russians would never dare strike UK Forces, as this would bring in NATO. The UK could not send tanks are they are not working at the moment!  The new German Foreign Minister is going to the Kremlin today, let's hope that Germany keeps to the Western line, that it will not say NO to the Ukraine becoming part of NATO and it will not withdraw NATO troops and equipment from Eastern Europe States that have joined NATO since 1997.  The Russians have blocked themselves in, the West has offered talks on other aspects but the Russian are not biting.  After the West gives its formal reply, what will Russia do, invade or do more diplomacy, that is open to question.

One has to assume that Putin is bluffing, any ATTACK on a NATO Country would invoke Article 5, a attack on one is a attack on ALL.  That mean WORLD WAR 3.  One assumes Putin is doing this to remind the Biden Oval that the Russian have a lot of targets, if so its a VERY bad mistake.  After Afghanistan Biden cannot afford to be seen as WEAK as in relationship to the Russians.  If Putin wants to play hardball the Biden Oval should send in US troops to protect the West of the Ukraine and draw a line between the West and the East.  As stated in previous post the West is waiting for some kind of action by Putin, he in reverse might be waiting for a FORMAL HELL NO from NATO to the Russians demands, that the Ukraine never becomes part of NATO and that the Eastern Nato States will remove their NATO TROOPS and equipment.  PUTIN must know he can only go so far, of course the question ha to be asked, has he gone CRAZY and has started to believe his own PR, that would be a major worry.  The German Foreign Minister is seeing the Russian tomorrow, one hopes that the German will be CLEAR to the Kremlin, an attack on the Ukraine could lead to the cut off their new gas pipeline, whatever the COSTS to the West.   This would hurt Russia and the economic sanctions will be hard for the Russian people to cope with, even the rich ones, Putin's friends.

The lack of something happening is worrisome, what doe it take to frighten Putin, everyone has a WEAK POINT, that is the 64 million dollar question.

The Biden Oval if it was smart and not risk averse would send in the 101st airborne, on a surprise New Year military exercise with the Ukraine Forces, this would STOP Putin in his tracks, eve Putin does not want to take on US Forces or NATO forces.  The Russian Bear will back off he knows that he will get his backside kicked and it would be a humiliation for the Kremlin.  Unfortunately Biden is no Ronald Reagan, after losing nearly 240+ US Armed Forces Personnel in Beirut due to a terrorist bombing, the Gipper invaded Grenada to stop a Marxist Coup, that took guts and Reagan was seen as tough by the rest of the World, one does not see Biden doing something to prevent WAR.  The US needs a NEW REAGAN, while the UK needs another Churchill or Thatcher.

President Putin is following the Hitler playbook, in 1939 Hitler had prisoners dressed up as Polish Soldiers and had them attack a German asset, the " attackers " were all killed, it suited Nazi Germany to go with this story.  It should also be recalled that the Nazis and USSR singed a non aggression pact in August of 39.   Thus after the Nazi attack on Poland, Germany had the half it wanted while the USSR had the rest.  It can be argued that Putin is a keen student of Hitler.  The WEST must stop this invasion, HARSH words are good, but there has to be a military line that Putin does not cross, otherwise the Europe, the World in fact could be on the road to World War 3, what next for Putin after the Ukraine, the Baltic States, Poland.  As Munich 1938 has showed it is better to stop tyrants before they go for ALL OUT WAR.
