Trump and Foreign Policy - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

President Trump is an interesting politician, he likes to keep to his political promises, and does not change his mind that much, he was pro Russia before the election and still is, while throwing out 60 Diplomats in reaction to the suspected Russian action in the UK.  On Syria, and the Middle East, Trump wants out, but has allowed the US Military to take out Daesh in Syria and Iraq, the rules of the Obama Administration were binned as to allow the US Military to smash the terrorist group.   It can be argued that Trump wants to abdicate US leadership of the West while making sure that no country can match the US when it comes to defence.  On Iran the establishment in D.C has stalled Trump, with a new Secretary of State and National Security Advisor the US could be harder on Iran.   IF Tehran I would be worried.  The Trump foreign policy looks both ways, it can be hard to pin down.

The New Cold War 2 - Update - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

Why has President Trump not thrown President Putin under the bus, he seems more loyal to the Russian President than people in his own Administration and the FBI.   Why does Trump like Putin so much, does he feel that Putin is tough like himself, that they share the same enemies, what is it, does the FSB have something on Trump while he visited Russia, that is the rumour.  The Trump White House one hand is supportive of Putin, thus its congrats on Putin winning " re - election " then on the other hand it throws out sixty Diplomats in support of the British action.   They mystery of the relationship will come out someday, what does the reader think it is about.

Corbyn and Anti - Semitism - Update 3 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

There is an old saying, if you are in a hole stop digging!! Jeremy Corbyn has a major political problem on his hands, the Labour Party is already split, between those that support Corbyn and his left wing views and those small band of Blair supporters who have never liked the left wing views that Corbyn represent.  Corbyn needs to meet mainstream Jewish leaders, those support Israel, he has to be seen and do things that make it clear that the Labour is not a anti - semite Party.   It will be interesting to see some new polls, is Labour ahead or still behind the Conservatives.

Corbyn and Anti - Semitism - Update 2 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

Jeremy Corbyn is a fringe leader of the Labour Party, he comes from the extreme left of the Party, in the normal course of events if Corbyn was not leader who would care, but he is the Leader of the Opposition, he does not have a personal capacity, all his actions have the force of the Labour Party.   No wonder mainstream Jewish supporters are not that happy with Corbyn, they would never be, one suspects that Corbyn is an idealist, he does not live in the real World.   Think reader he could be the next PM, always vote Conservative.

Corbyn and anti-Semitism - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

Jeremy Corbyn is not an anti-semite, one has to be careful before one calls someone a racist.   The left wing as represented by Jeremy Corbyn has a negative view of the policies of the Israeli Government, while this blog supports on the whole Israel and its policies.   The Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn has gained extreme followers on the left, they see the State of Israel taking up space that belongs to the Palestinian people, they live in idealism, not the real World.   Let's be honest, those anti Corbyn MPs will use this debate to undermine him, if they had any honour they would leave the Labour Party and form their own Party, a Centre left Party that is pro Israel, and pro EU.  The Labour Party under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown is DEAD in the WATER, New Labour has gone the way of the dodos.

Trump on Mexico - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

POTUS wants his wall, he is thinking he got the North Korean leader to a Summit by being tough and being seen as a real threat to the North Korean Regime.   Thus the Trump Oval thinks that if he is tough with Mexico he can get  a good deal with a new NAFTA.  Also NAFTA was seen as the main domestic success of the Bill Clinton Administration, either way Trump wins, if he walks away it will be seen by Trump supporters as a win, if there is a new agreement then Trump can say that only he could get a good deal for the US.   Thus as stated a win whatever the outcome.   Also if Trump does walk away, it will be seen as another hit for HRC not winning in 2016, it might be petty, but it makes politics fun.

Trump blames Democrats over DACA and Mexico over Immigration! - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

When POTUS is peeved about the press that he gets, he goes on a Twitter fury, as to if he is being real about DACA and NAFTA that is open to question.   If DACA goes down the toilet it would be seen as a good thing by Trump supporters, the same with NAFTA, when it comes to immigration the Trump supporter thinks the US has to much of them, and as for NAFTA it seen as killing old job structures and allowing cheaper goods in to the US, thus harming home produced products.   On the whole POTUS has seen a surge in his approval ratings, that might be the US economy is on fire, unemployment is down to figures not seen since 1973, the stock market has taken a hit but still a better investment in the long term.   Also one has to factor in the tax cuts of the first year of the Trump Presidency.   POTUS has stated he is running for a 2nd term, one would be foolish to think that Trump can not win a 2nd term.  Every President since Reagan has gotten a 2nd term, with the exception of Bush 41, and he lost because he raised taxes when he promised not too.  The Democrats have no firm leader, and Trump has a Summit with the leader of North Korea, that should be interesting, what if Trump has a successful Summit, that could help him in 2020.
