The House of Commons vs. The UK Government - Brexit Era

Lets Get Real:

The UK Supreme Court should recall that its the Queen in Parliament that is sovereign not a bunch Judges, the Judges are there to run the Court system based on Acts of Parliament, not the other way around.  This blog would have supported the Government telling the Supreme Court to get LOST, and to remember their place with the unofficial UK Constitution, they are to keep the Queen's peace and Justice, not the other way around. The Conservative Government should place pressure on ALL Tory MPs to vote for the Government, this is the time for the Party to be united and support Brexit. 

UK Parliament must VOTE on Brexit - Supreme Court Verdict

BBC News: Reports in its 4.54pm post the following, " The Supreme Court has ruled that the government cannot begin the formal process of leaving the European Union without a vote in Parliament. "

Lets Get Real:

IF the Conservative Party stays united, and can bring a few Labour MPs over in combination with the Unionist members from Northern Ireland, they should get a YES to Brexit through Parliament.  One can expect the liberal elite with Labour and Liberal Democrats to oppose. The Conservative Government should try and get a high majority, that should close down the Opposition.   It will be a great day when the UK formally states it is leaving the EU.

Trump and Abortions OUTSIDE the US - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

In this policy it can be argued that President Trump is following the wrong policy, as an issue, abortion should be a private issue between a Doctor and a woman.  As in the norm in such cases, the man has done a runner and the woman is left to look after a  baby, thus it should be up to the woman to decide if she wants to keep the baby, there should be no restrictions on the timing for abortion, as restrictions can cause more problems.   One does not have to be Conservative or Liberal to divert from an Agenda, one just needs a brain and the time to use it, this is a bad policy that should be overturned by the US Congress in time.

Trump/May and Trade - Trump Era

Telegraph: Reports " Theresa May and Donald Trump to hold talks on trade deal that cuts tariffs and allows workers to move between the US and UK "

Lets Get Real:

It is in the interest of both President Trump and PM May to have a good working relationship, if they can agree a trade deal it will show that Trump is willing to do good trade deals that benefit both Countries.   A US trade deal would help May with her talks with the EU about the UK leaving,  also it shows that the UK will do what it takes to get the best deals, even if that means walking away from the EU.  The pro EU supporters will try to use the House of Commons as a way to block a good deal, No 10 should threaten a General Election if the House of Commons goes to far in being pro EU. 

Trump on Trade - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

The pro trade US State Department will not be happy, NAFTA as the article states was started with Bush 41 but came in to being with Bill Clinton.   President Clinton pushed hard for NAFTA, he faced opposition, he got the former Presidents to support him, it was a major victory of the Clinton Era, if the talks fail it could be pushed out the door like TPP.   The new Trump Administration is keeping to its promises, those that oppose protection of the economy will not be happy, they will see it as a retrograde step, but their side lost with HRC. Politics is brutal.

The New Reagan and Thatcher ?= Trump and May - Trump Era

Daily Mail: Reports that even during the great relationship between President Reagan and Lady Thatcher there were tense moments, the article states the following, " The most-quoted example is when in 1983 Reagan sent U.S. troops to invade the Commonwealth island of Grenada (he wanted to block a coup by hardline communists). He didn't even inform Thatcher in advance, which was completely humiliating for her.  "

Lets Get Real:

IF the above is not America First then this blog does not understand the meaning of the  term, at the end of the day ALL leaders must care about their Countries, or they do not get re-elected.  Also it should be noted that when Reagan and Gorbachev almost agreed to get rid of ALL nuclear missiles, this was done without talking to London.   The White House staff had to get Lady Thatcher to come to D.C to show the President the error of his ways.   All US Presidents since the end of World War 2 have acted in the US national interest, it can be argued that Tony Blair go to close to Bush 43, thus his removal from Office.  Thus PM May should get close to Trump, but not to close, we do not want another Iraq.

Trump on TAXES and REGULATIONS - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

POTUS is keeping to his campaign promises, as he as low ratings this move could help jump start poll ratings.  The media row also helps POTUS, the mainstream press is seen as pandering to the left wing of the Democratic base.   This blog caught POTUS on TV this afternoon, he looked and sounded like he knew what he was talking about, cut taxes and get regulation off the back of business.   This kind of talk will help in the rust belt States, you can never forget that 2020 is only around the corner, time wise.  Thus good day for President Trump.   The campaign is OVER, this blog can be objective when it comes to POTUS.
