When YOU Appease - Syrian Crisis END

BBC News: Reports on a French plan for a UN Resolution that would place WMD of Syria under international control backed up by the threat of force. 

Lets Get Real:

Thus folks as in the 1930s we see the West following a policy of appeasement when it comes to Syria, the Oval jumped on the Russian plan for the WMD of Syria to be taken out of the control of Assad, of course its rubbish, the Assad Regime knows that if it losses the Syrian Civil War it will be hung from the nearest lamp post, thus it needs WMD as its final defence, as stated in my tweet last night, the winners of this game are Syria, Russian and Iran.   As noted last night on the 24 news channels the Obama Oval will have to deal with Assad, you have a Civil War in Syria, what will Russia and Syria demand in return, that the West stops funding the rebels, that Russia is allowed to place troops in Syria to protect the chemical weapons, you get the idea folks.   The Oval will be tied to Assad and Russia, they can cause a crisis for Obama at any time, thus THE Obama Oval will be at the political mercy of Russia and Syria.   In less something major happens, and it can with Syria, this crisis is over for now, the West has lost and it will pay a price, that price is THAT Iran goes for the bomb, when that happens folks Syria will look a tea party.

The New York Times: Ms Dowd of the uber liberal NYT writes the following on President Obama and Syria, " As commander in chief, Obama knows that if he doesn’t punish Bashar al-Assad, America and his presidency will be forever reduced. ".

Lets Get Real:

Even the uber liberal NYT gets the fact that IF Obama does not strike Syria after a NO vote in Congress he is finished in many respects, even IF POTUS does strike he will be the anti War Candidate would have gone to War without a UN Resolution or Congressional approval, ALL the Bush 43 bashing by the Oval would look very foolish, at least with Bush 43 got a Congressional approval for the Iraq War, and he had many UN Resolutions to back up his War from the view of the Bush 43 Oval, also Bush 43 had Tony Blair and the UK was part of the War effort, in the case of Syria ALL the UK can do after the UK Parliament said no to military action is to support from the sidelines.  Well President Obama wanted the job, this is the time to get his liberal political hands dirty, he needs to strike Syria no matter what, the image of the US and the Oval is at stake folks.

CNN - Politics: Reports the following VOTE COUNT so far when it comes to the Syrian Resolution, lets start with some good news ( not great ) the Oval has 24 YES votes, there are 14 Unknowns, 272 have not mad up their minds ( really!!), here is the bad news for the Oval, there are 123 NO votes. 

Lets Get Real:

In other words folks the Oval is in trouble in the House, this blog will predict that a majority of the 272 who have NOT made their minds up will vote NO, thus the Oval has to ask, will its speech on Tuesday really change the outcome, that is open to debate folks.   If the final vote tally looks BAD the Oval should pull the resolution and strike, if the Oval loses its bottle it will find the next three and half years a misery folks, everyone will think that the Oval can be rolled from North Korea to Iran, three years will feel like a forever for Obama if he flunks Syria.

Guardian: Reports on the following remarks by US Secretary of State, John Kerry, " ..says 'the president and all of us are listening carefully to all our friends' after ally France hints at UN route ".

Lets Get Real:

The Oval can not wait for another week for an attack, the Russians have made it clear they will veto any UN resolution, either the French are IN our OUT, the Washington D.C and Paris will have to find their backbones, the Syrian policy of Obama is starting to look like a fiasco, a President who cuts his own Secretary of State off at the knees, while Paris has been made to walk the blank.   After Congress comes back this week, there should be a simple VOTE, YES or NO for a Syrian Resolution, if a NO, the Oval should attack, otherwise the Obama Presidency is finished when it comes to the World Stage, how could you trust the Obama word. The Oval can not wait for French dithering, either ALL IN or BUST.

Thus folks time for Congress, the House and the Senate to support the Oval, in many respects this is not about Syria, this is about Iran and Israel, if the US Congress does not support its President this will send a message to Tehran that it can go nuclear, this would mean either the US or Israel would need to hit Iran.  If your the Israeli Government you have to wonder can you trust the Obama Oval and the US Congress with its word.   If the Congress does say NO, lets hope the Oval has the bottle to hit Syria, otherwise we could see a regional WAR within months, and a War between Israel and Iran would make the Syrian Civil War look like a sideshow.

CNN - Politics: Reports the following on Syrian Vote in the Congress, " President Barack Obama still has a long way to go to secure congressional authorization for military action against Syria ..".

Lets Get Real:

If your in the Obama White House you have to figure out is it better to have the vote and lose or not have the vote and delay the military operation,  if the Congress votes NO the Oval has a tough choice, either follow through with the military strike on Syria or postpone the operation for a future date.   One could get the impression from the Presidential press conference in Russia that the Oval has placed the decision with the Congress, as stated in this blog over the past few days and with the above article the Oval is facing a major defeat.   What ever the Oval does it losses, if it strikes without Congressional or UN approval liberals and US voters will no be happy, but it will confidence to Israel that the US will back it up at the end of the day, on the other hand no strike and the Obama word will be no good around the World, Israel might think that the Oval will bottle any action against Iran, thus leave it with no choice but to hit Iran hard, thus folks the Obama rhetoric has come back to haunt the Oval and the US.

The White House: Statement on Syria: " The Leaders and Representatives of Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States of America made the following statement on the margins of the Group of 20 Nations Leader’s Meeting in Saint Petersburg, Russia:

The international norm against the use of chemical weapons is longstanding and universal.  The use of chemical weapons anywhere diminishes the security of people everywhere.  Left unchallenged, it increases the risk of further use and proliferation of these weapons.

We condemn in the strongest terms the horrific chemical weapons attack in the suburbs of Damascus on August 21st that claimed the lives of so many men, women, and children.  The evidence clearly points to the Syrian government being responsible for the attack, which is part of a pattern of chemical weapons use by the regime. 

We call for a strong international response to this grave violation of the world’s rules and conscience that will send a clear message that this kind of atrocity can never be repeated. Those who perpetrated these crimes must be held accountable.

Signatories have consistently supported a strong UN Security Council Resolution, given the Security Council's responsibilities to lead the international response, but recognize that the Council remains paralyzed as it has been for two and a half years.  The world cannot wait for endless failed processes that can only lead to increased suffering in Syria and regional instability.  We support efforts undertaken by the United States and other countries to reinforce the prohibition on the use of chemical weapons. 

We commit to supporting longer term international efforts, including through the United Nations, to address the enduring security challenge posed by Syria’s chemical weapons stockpiles.  Signatories have also called for the UN fact finding mission to present its results as soon as possible, and for the Security Council to act accordingly.

We condemn in the strongest terms all human rights violations in Syria on all sides.  More than 100,000 people have been killed in the conflict, more than 2 million people have become refugees, and approximately 5 million are internally displaced.  Recognizing that Syria’s conflict has no military solution, we reaffirm our commitment to seek a peaceful political settlement through full implementation of the 2012 Geneva Communique.  We are committed to a political solution which will result in a united, inclusive and democratic Syria. 

We have contributed generously to the latest United Nations (UN) and ICRC appeals for humanitarian assistance and will continue to provide support to address the growing humanitarian needs in Syria and their impact on regional countries. Lets Get Real:

The Oval could be looking for this in the statement as a way to get out of striking Syria, " We commit to supporting longer term international efforts, including through the United Nations, to address the enduring security challenge posed by Syria’s chemical weapons stockpiles.  Signatories have also called for the UN fact finding mission to present its results as soon as possible, and for the Security Council to act accordingly. ".  It seems that the Oval does not have the votes at present in the US House, the Oval could be looking for delay to build up support, or that Assad launches another chemical attack, the Presidential press conference did give the impression that the Oval was passing the buck to Congress.
