Selling OUT the Syrian Rebels ? - Update 2

Guardian: Reports the following on the visit by the US Secretary of State John Kerry to Russia to discuss the Syrian crisis, the article notes the following, " Asked about the future of Assad, Kerry brushed off the question and said: "I'm not going to decide that tonight." .

Lets Get Real:

Is the Oval going to throw another demand in to the bin, the Oval has stressed that Assad has to go, so as with the use of WMD, is the Oval now going to throw the Syrian rebels under the bus, the Russians want Assad or a Assad Regime to remain in power, it seems that Secretary Kerry has fallen for the fake Russian charm offensive, the article notes the following on his meeting with his opposite number  " Lavrov and Kerry appeared chummy, exchanging whispers and slaps on the back, ", US leaders in the past have under come under critical attack for not seeing that the Russian bear has sharp teeth and claws, President Reagan was seen as being far to close to President Gorbachev, while Bush 43 trusted Putin at the start, Reagan was right to have have worked with Gorbachev to end the Cold War, but as the Gipper stated, " Trust but Verify " when it comes to the Russian bear. Bush 43 didn't see that Putin has KGB stamped on his soul, while Hillary Clinton  and Obama sold out Eastern Europe for nothing at the end of the day, the Russians only interest is the security of Russia and her interests, thus the American Eagle should have very sharp claws and deal with the Russian bear from on high and with the claws ready, trust but verify folks.

US/Russia and Syria - Update 1

BBC News: Reports that the US and Russia have agreed to work towards an international conference on Syria.

Lets Get Real:

In other words folks the Oval is trying anything to avoid taking action, the Russians are not going to push Assad out, he gives them a warm water Port, they are not going to give that up, President Putin has no influence with the Syrian rebels, thus if Assad Regime goes the Russians are out.   The Assad Regime and the Russia have a long term relationship that goes back to the USSR and the Cold War, as long as President Assad is supported by Russia and Iran and Obama is seen as weak the Assad Regime is safe, lets see how long the Oval can avoid taking action, when the left wing NYT and Guardian start having a go the Oval is stuck in a hole of its own making, the Israeli strikes on Syria will go on, the Syrian Civil War as stated in this blog and by others is proxy war for 1, the West/Israel vs Iran, 2, between different sects of the Islamic faith, also we have Al Qaeda who have become major players in the Syria rebel.  Thus folks Syria makes Vietnam and Iraq look like walks in the path, lets not forget that Syria has WMD.   Thus a hot zone in may ways folks.

Obama and Syria - Update 1

Lets Get Real:

This folks is the left wing Guardian, as noted of late even the liberal New York Times is staring to turn on Obama, they might be LIBERAL, but they can smell political blood in the water, also they are not stupid, the elite press on the whole in the 1930s supported the Chamberlain policy of Appeasement in the UK,  a weak leader is not seen as great in history, the NYT and Guardian are seeing the Middle East fall apart, the article has a interesting line on Obama's policy,Friends and political supporters, not just rightwing critics, are still waiting to see what Obama's threat actually means, if anything at all. ".  In other words folks the elite media and foreign policy establishment will dump on the Oval from on high if the Middle East has a major regional war due to the lack of leadership by the Oval, the problem is that the Oval knows that once it starts to take action in Syria the domestic agenda of the Oval is over for the 2nd term, the Oval wants to see Democrats take the House in 2014, if Obama takes action in Syria the liberal base will desert him, thus the Oval is between a rock and Obama's ego, the press on both sides of the Atlantic have covered for the Oval for the past few years, the Oval might think they are in his pocket, that would be a mistake, the press at the end of the day are not going to follow another Chamberlain.

Syrian Front - Red Line - Update 3

The New York Times: Reports the following on the Obama policy when it comes to Syria, the article notes that the President finds himself  in a geopolitical box, his credibility at stake with frustratingly few good options.  "

Lets Get Real:

When even the Liberal NYT is stating this to the Oval it has a major problem, when a US President draws a red line and it is crossed,  he has to act, or the next man or woman in that chair will find that they have to be an extra hawk because of the weakness of the Obama policy when it comes to Syria.  Lets be clear here folks, Iran, North Korea are looking on, they are seeing a President who has boxed himself in, if Obama's fails to act in Syria the Tehran Regime will not take any US threat on face value, the same goes for North Korea, also abdicating Syria to Israeli policy is a massive mistake, its a blank cheque, Israel might think that since Obama will not act over Syria, then what is stop the Oval allowing Iran to go nuclear, something that Israel can not allow, as this would be a threat to the survival of the Jewish State.   Reagan called the USSR an Evil Empire and called on President Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall, but then Reagan was a great President, the early years of the 1980s saw the Cold War go very frosty, even the threat of a nuclear war in 1983, but what ever language Reagan used he never boxed himself in till Iran- Contra,  and even then the Gipper got out of it, took some heat but ended the Cold War and helped his VP become President.  Thus far Obama is NO Reagan, there was only one Gipper.

Syrian Front - Update 2

Lets Get Real:

If your Assad folks what is the best way to divert the Syrian people from their present Civil War, and gain some support from the Arab Street, one have Hezbollah in Lebanon attack Israel, thus force Israel to deal with Syria and Lebanon, also cause problems for Israel in the world community,  two have a limited War between Syria and Israel, on the whole the Arab street would support Assad, the leadership in these Countries would give lip service support but would rather that Assad be gone one way or another.   They see Iran as the real threat and the Syrian Civil War has become a proxy War along religious lines and between the West and Iran.  The Oval wants Assad gone, the longer this war goes the more pressure on the Oval to ACT, that is the one thing that President Obama does not want to do , thus Assad might call the Oval bluff with above, watch this space folks.

Syrian Front - Update 1

BBC News: Reports that Syria has accused Israel of working with Al Qaeda after the latest Israeli strike on Damascus in Syria.

Lets Get Real:

There is an interesting theory that since the Oval does not want to take action in Syria it has given Israel the green light to take action, this might be a BIG strategic mistake, Israel will not allow a threat, thus Syria has and will be hit, the same goes for Iran.  The Oval made a massive mistake when it stated that its red line was if Syria used chemical weapons it would act, well Syria has used WMD, no matter what the weasel words of the Oval, thus to make sure Israel trusts what the Oval says about Iran it has to allow Israel to hit what it wants, or Israel will call the Oval bluff, the Israeli Intelligence network Mossad can make sure that the Oval has to act, its one of the best intelligence networks in the World, if it wants to it make sure that the Oval can not run away from taking action.    Thus as Israel takes action to defend itself, the Assad Regime might decide that it has nothing to lose and divert the Syrian people with a War on Israel, does the Oval really want that, thus the point folks that its in the strategic interest of the US to lead, if you give someone else the gun you abdicate what they do with it, and are stuck with the results.  One early morning the Oval could be told that Israel has hit Iran, and the US has to protect the 5th Fleet in the Persian Gulf, thus the US will have to follow through, the Israeli Government will defend Israel, the Oval might find that hiding under the Oval Desk is no cover.

Lets Get Real:

This episode had it all folks, fun, fear, Victorian characters at their worse, the stand out performances must be Dame Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling, the mother and daughter performances took Doctor Who to a new high, Dame Diana and Rachael just might have a future in this acting lark!!  Without giving away the ending, when Mrs Gillyflower asks to be forgiven and Ada says never, is so moving, in that final encounter Mrs Gillyflower says that is my daughter, a way of being kind at the very end.   Lets start a Campaign to bring back Dame Diana and Rachael, they were fantastic.

Also lets see the chance of a spin off for Vastra, Jenny & Strax, Victorian England is a perfect to place have a spin off, in the cusp of the 20th Century it could be new Torchwood, dealing with the roles of women, how the Empire bought in new people, new technology, YES folks two Campaigns.

One  critic, Doctor Who should move back to March, the weather has improved, is taken its time, thus people are taking the chance to go out.
