Obama FALLS in CNN Poll - 2nd Term Blues

CNN - Politics: Reports on a new CNN/ORC Poll that finds that President Obama has a 45%  job approval rating, while 54% disapprove of the Oval performance

Lets Get Real:

Thus folks the political hits of the scandals are starting to have an effect, this really hurts the Oval on the Hill, the major bill  that the Oval is pushing is Immigration reform, if the poll numbers of the Oval are in the tank, those in the House and Senate might think its better to oppose the Oval, also lets recall it could get worse folks, ObamaCare comes in to effect at the end of the year, thus many US voters might find that the IRS starts to charge them if they do not have the right kind of healthcare insurance, that is going to go down well, the Oval promised that if people had heath care they were happy with they could keep it, well its cheaper for employers to pay the penalty than offer health care, thus millions of Americans are finding that employers are cutting hours as to avoid offering healthcare, also the States are being very slow to offer the internal markets for ObamaCare, this leaves it to the Federal Government, in other words its a train wreck as a Democratic Senator called the move to ObamaCare.   The scandals are not going to go away folks, thus Obama might find that he has the same bad numbers as Bush 43, that would be so ironic and funny folks.

The END of the US War in Iraq

BBC News: Reports on the US taking down the US Flag in Baghdad, Iraq, thus ending the eight year military operation in Iraq. Thus folks the US finally leaves Iraq, after 4.500 US deaths, 179 UK deaths and a reported 100,000 Iraqi deaths. The question that has to be asked folks, was it worth it, at its most basic, was it worth the death of 1 US or UK Soldier, at the end of the day Iraq is Democracy, hardly stable but a democracy, Saddam Hussein got hung in public in essence, this blog does not weep for him, got what he deserved. As to the future, that is up to Iraq, will it remain a democracy, hard call folks, it does seem that the Iraqi people have gotten in to the habit of voting, that is good, but Iraq’s neighbour Iran is on the way to becoming a nuclear armed power, might Iran invade Iraq to divert attention form this, there is a chance folks, will Iraq become just a satellite of Iran, 6/10 it might happen, Iran will have the bomb, Iraq wont, but that is the future folks, lets for the moment recall all those brave Allied Soldiers that have died, lets hope their deaths were not in vain, that would be condemnation of the Iraq War.

Mubarak OUT = Army IN = ?

Telegraph: Reports on the resignation of President Mubarak of Egypt. Thus what next folks, the President has transferred power to the Army, they have promised a road map to free elections. The question is will this be enough for the protesters, the reaction of the protesters was joy at the news, but what comes next folks, will the Army really give Egypt Democracy or will they spin the departure of Mubarak as a reason to keep the present power structure, lets recall folks you would have fond such joy in 1917 with the fall of Tsar Nicholas 11, then in 1979 when Iran’s monarch left, but that secular revolution was overtaken by a religious revolution. Lets see what happens folks, you have to tip your hat to the protesters, they have bought down a dictator by peaceful protest on the whole, that should be celebrated, this is a historic day in Egypt, but lets see what happens next, this old cynic has worries about the future of the Middle East after this Revolution.

Iran and 9/11

The Hill: Reports on the latest madness out of the mouth of President Ahmadinejad of Iran, President Ahmadinejad has taken up the call of those nutty Americans who think that 9/11 was set up by the Bush Administration and the CIA. The one major mistake of both Bush and Obama Administrations is the failure to take on Iran, the Tehran Regime has been allowed to play for time, while Bush 43 moved to diplomacy and Obama wanted to appease, the Tehran Regime has blown smoke at the West while it goes nuclear. At the end of the day the failure of both President Bush and Obama to take on Iran could force Israel to take action, the latest madness out of Tehran shows that Ahmadinejad wants to upset the USA or Israel as to cause them to take action, this would dissolve the opposition in Iran to the Regime and keep the Tehran Regime in power for years. The Obama Administration forgot the lesson of Ronald Reagan, be tough then talk, not be weak and expect thanks, that's not the real world.

Military Dictatorship - Iran

Fox News: Reports on comments by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that Iran is becoming a military dictatorship. As stated many times in this blog the Tehran Regime is just another totalitarian regime in the mold of the old USSR and Nazi Germany, as the New York Times of late reported the Regime is using Gestapo/KGB methods when it comes to those that dissent, there is that late night knock at the door and people are taken away, sometimes never to be seen again or left to rot in jail. The move by Secretary Clinton will place President Obama in a tight spot, he does not want to be Neville Chamberlain, he can not afford a pre World War Two Munich conference with Iran. Thus POTUS needs tough sanctions against Iran, but China wants the slow path or no sanctions. Thus as POTUS stated when he received his Nobel Peace Prize he keeps to himself the right to take independent action should the US come under threat, it would be ironic if Obama turns in to Bush 43.

Obama on Iran

The last time POTUS discussed the Iran in the context of the stole election it was mild and was seen as weak, this time President Obama has made a stronger statement, the President stated the following, " The United States joins with the international community in strongly condemning the violent and unjust suppression of innocent Iranian citizens, which has apparently resulted in tensions, injuries and even death ( Does Obama not watch the TV, when does death in Tehran not become apparently ).....For months the Iranian people have sought nothing more than to exercise their universal rights. Each time they have done so they have been met with the iron fist of brutality, even on solemn occasions and holy days. And each time that has happened the world has watched with deep admiration for the courage and the conviction of the Iranian people, who are a part of Iran's great and enduring civilization ( Will Obama stop making nice to Iran, its a terrorist state with a terror regime, just ask the people of Iran)....What's taking place within Iran is not about the United States or any other country -- it's about the Iranian people and their aspirations for justice and a better life for themselves. And the decision of Iran's leaders to govern through fear and tyranny will not succeed in making those aspirations go away. ( Then why Mr President did you want to send Senator Kerry to Tehran to appease Iran) As I said in Oslo, it's telling when governments fear the aspirations of their own people more than the power of any other nation...Along with all free nations the United States stands with those who seek their universal rights. ( Does sound like Bush 43 in Language if not in tone) We call upon the Iranian government to abide by the international obligations that it has to respect the rights of its own people. ( How many UN Resolutions have been passed by the UN and thrown in the bin by Tehran, grow UP POTUS ) We call for the immediate release of all who have been unjustly detained within Iran. We will continue to bear witness to the extraordinary events that are taking place there. And I'm confident that history will be on the side of those who seek justice. " As Reagan stated a long time ago, modern communication will bring down the regime in Tehran, but the question is how many people have to die, before the West support the good people of Tehran, they have the right to be FREE.

Rethinking Iran - Obama Administration

Fox News: Reports that the US Intelligence Body is thinking of a revaluation of its past estimation of Iran's nuclear plans. As the article points out this goes back to Bush 43, under the Bush Administration the US Intelligence Agencies come to the conclusion that Iran was not planning to become a nuclear armed power. The fact that Iran has been caught out and that the UK, France and Israel think Iran is a major threat is the reason for the revaluation. Of late we have seen the media elite as represented by the liberal New York Times go for the argument that Iran can make the bomb but has not crossed that line and that West is ready to deal. What the extreme liberal New York Times seems to have over looked is Israel, the Israeli intelligence agency the Mossad will decide if Iran is a threat, if after that judgement the West will not take action then Israel will hit Iran. In many respects the judgement of the US Intelligence Agencies is of no matter, when it comes to the Middle East one on the whole would go to Mossad for the truth about Iran.

No ATTACK on IRAN !

Guardian: Reports that President George W. Bush has placed a USA veto on any military strike by Israel on Iran. Lets be honest, Bush has to deal with Afghanistan and Iraq, the economic mess in the United States, the constant threat of terrorism, the problem of Iran will be on the desk of the next President. If Obama wins expect Israel to hit Iran, Israel will not trust a Obama Administration to support Israel.

The Next War? Iran and Israel

TJP: Reports that the US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice has stated that the USA has no veto on any action that Israel should take over Iran. The lack of action by the West over the aggression of Russia should be a warning to Israel, Georgia a friend of the USA is under a threat of Invasion and the USA and the West don't seem to be taking much action. Israel has to be concerned that a Obama Administration would even be weaker, would an Obama Administration allow Iran to became a nuclear power and a threat to Israel. The West should be wary that lack of action over the War between Russia and Georgia could make Israel think that it better take action now over Iran.

Israel Attack on Iran ?

Yahoo! News: Reports that Israel is getting ready to use force to prevent Iran becoming a nuclear power. As stated many times on this blog, a attack is coming but its condition will be based on the view in Israel on the chances that Obama will win in the USA. If Obama will win then Israel will attack while Bush is in the Oval Office. An attack before November could help McCain.

Tougher Sanctions on Iran

Fox News: Reports that the UN will now place tougher sanctions on Iran due to its refusal to stop its nuclear planning. The sanctions have to be tough, unless Israel trusts the West to force Iran to back down it will attack, an attack in the region will cause a powder keg to go off, trouble for the USA in Iraq, higher Oil prices due to the fact that Iran would prevent tankers getting oil out of the region. The West has a very limited time in which to force Iran to stop its nuclear threat.

Iran Sabre Rattling

The New York Times: Reports on more threats from Iran, to close the waterways that transport oil to the West and also a threat to American Ships in the region. Iran has not learnt from Iraq pre- 2003. Don't Bluff a Bush White House, and don't give reasons for Israel to attack. A war is coming, the peace before the storm.

Iran War Part Two

BBC News: Reports on the refusal of Iran to stop its nuclear development and its refusal to agree to the demands of the West. The government of Iran is playing games, its a matter of time, it wants to give the appearance that it will talk while building up its nuclear structure. The Government of Israel should start its planning for an attack on Iran. The USA and UK should be ready to rebel an attack on Iraq by Iran. Those in the Oil business should start to make agreements for future oil at present prices, the price of Oil will go through the roof, sometimes a road is set, and the end result is the right result.

Iran War ?

Fox News: Reports that Iran has got this weekend to give a positive answer to the Western Allies over his Nuclear Planning for face more sanctions. At the end of the day Israel will have to take action to remove the threat of a Nuclear Iran. An attack would cause problems in Iraq, Iran could either send weapons to the terrorists or more fool hardly send in the troops against the US forces. The Price of Oil will hit the roof, therefore McCain should bang on about drilling in the USA. Obama should be forced to push the green lobby under the bus like his Pastor.

Obama on Israel and Iran

ABC News: Reports that Senator Obama, the Democratic Nominee has stated that Israel will attack Iran should Iran became a nuclear threat. Obama should start thinking if Israel hits Iran, Iran will hit Iraq, thus his policy of withdrawal will go through the window. As stated in previous post, the election in Israel will have profound results for the region.

Israel the Attack on Iran ?

JP: Reports on the news that Israeli PM Olmert will not run for re - election as leader of his Party and thus PM. The decision is interesting as his successor will have to choose between taking action over the nuclear planning of Iran or to accept a nuclear Iran. This internal election has massive external ramifications for the Middle East. Lets hope they choose a strong leader.

Iran vs The West

BBC News: Reports that Iran has not given an answer to the attractive package offered by the West to halt its nuclear programme. Iran is playing games, its playing out the clock, it hopes that Obama Administration will allow it to develop the bomb and prevent Israel from attacking its nuclear facilities. This is the time for Israel to attack Iran, Iran will not give up its nuclear programme and its better to attack while Bush is President, McCain will support the move and this will force Obama to support the policy. The outcome of such attack will change the Foreign Policy Board before the election, and its Foreign Policy that is seen as a weakness of Obama.

Target Iran

Fox News: Reports that Iran has stated it will not budge on its nuclear planning. It could be argued this is what the USA and Israel want, Bush can now state he has tried to talk but has meet a brick wall, he can give the green light to Israel to attack Iran and snookers Obama. If Israel does attack, Obama will have to support the move and this of course would ruin his Foreign Policy Planning. If he wins he would be fighting a war against Iran not talking!!

Bush and Iran

The Times: Reports on the talks between the USA and Iran. I am cynical, if I was Bush would have the talks, see them fail and then allow Israel to attack Iran. This allows Bush to state that he has done all that he could do on the diplomatic front.

WAR OF WORDS

New York Times: The President Ahmadinejad of Iran has made a statement that can be seen as making a threat to take action before his country is attacked. If in Israel and the USA one could take the statement as a reason to attack Iran now, just in case they launch an attack, also Ahmadinejad has placed himself in the USA Presidential context, he has offered to have direct talks with the Bush Administration, this is of course the policy of Obama, Obama has to be careful he does not place himself on the same page as Iran, he is even in the polls.
