North Korea tries to BLACKMAIL the US over its Nuclear Structure - Trump Era

Sky News: Reports on the following remarks by the Foreign Minister of North Korea, " Mr Ri said Mr Kim had also been ready to offer in writing a permanent halt to the country's nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile tests and that Washington wasted an opportunity that "may not come again".  "

Lets Get Real:

It was expected that after the Summit between the US and North Korea that the two sides would sign some kind of agreement, it can be postulated that North Korea thought as stated with President Trump in trouble at home, that they could push him in to a bad agreement.   It would be interesting to see the notes of the meeting between TRUMP and KIM, will the White House publish them as to counter statements by the North Koreans.   The President was elected on the idea that he could make the BEST DEALS, so far with the exception of an update to NAFTA, the President has either failed to make agreements or negated past ones.  In the future if North Korea wants another Summit the US State Department should do the groundwork in detail, just to avoid POTUS having to travel half away around the World for a pointless meeting.   South Korea and Japan will be concerned that North Korea will go off the reservation and start to act up again, either with nuclear test or the use of missile tests.   The hawks on the Republican side and the Conservative Democrats ( there must be some around ) should make sure that the Trump Oval knows that it was right to walk away and that Republicans and Democrats on the Hill will be keeping eye on the OVAL OFFICE.  It should be noted that Reagan and Gorbachev had a failed Summit in late 1986, that was about removing ALL NUCLEAR WEAPONS, but it was the start of the end of the Cold War and it produced the INF Treaty that lasted from 1987-2019, it only ended when the Russians were found to have cheated on the Treaty. 

North Korea will not Budge when it comes to its Nuclear Policy - Trump Era

At last President Trump has done something Presidential, he walked away from talks with North Korea, it seems that a light bulb has gone off in the brain of POTUS, he got the fact that he was being played by North Korea.   The President stated that North Korea wanted all sanctions off, in return for a limited denuclearisation, while NK stated it just wanted partial sanctions removed.   It can be postulated that Kim Jong-un seeing the weakness of Trump at home with the Russia investigation thought that POTUS would grant the concessions he wanted just for a picture op of the two leaders singing a limited agreement.   It will be interesting to see what North Korea does NEXT, will it carry on with back channel talks or will it start to test it nuclear weapons again and launch missiles over Japan.  The last option would be a MISTAKE, it would allow POTUS to get tough, even take military action, he could argue that he tried peaceful talks, and the NK tried to play him like a second hand car.    A tougher position on North Korea would go down well with the voters in 2020, it didn't do Reagan any harm in 1984, he was tough with the USSR and the economy was roaring along.  Of course Trump is NO REAGAN, he can not keep on message, and no one ever accused President Reagan of being an asset of the Russians.  Asia could get very hot or NK could fold when it comes to its nuclear weapons.

This is not the first time that CNN has been alleged in having attempted to shaft Senator Sanders, it was accused of doing the same thing in 2016 to help Hillary Clinton, the elite media is choosing its favourite candidates.  In the case of the uber elite New York Times it is former Vice - President Biden, it has already attempted to put out future political problems for Biden, from the various structures that are linked to Biden and his future run and costs of his paid speeches.   The LIBERAL ELITE want a candidate who is LIBERAL but can also beat President Trump, thus they see the Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders as a spoiler in that race.  As of declared candidates Senator Harris is the front runner, she has stated she is not a Democratic Socialist, but might have hurt her chances when she declared that she would get rid of privet medical insurance, Barack Obama promised you could keep your Doctor if you were happy with your Doctor, that turned out not to be true, also his individual mandate was not very popular.   As for Senator Warren she is a laughing stock, he claim of being a native American has really hurt her, also her attempt to clear up the mess has failed.   This sole advice of this blog to Senator Sanders is not to trust the elite media, your not their favourite any more, that title  has gone to the left wing firebrand AOC.  It not end of February yet, the Democratic Nominee for 2020 might be a candidate who has not declared yet, what about HRC, she did win the popular vote in 2016.

It is so SAD to see a US President being conned by North Korea, POTUS thinks he is the smartest guy in the room when it comes to FOREIGN POLICY, he is not, he wants to be another Reagan, the Gipper used to say Trust but Verify when it comes to DEALS.  US intelligence has stated that North Korea is still a NUCLEAR THREAT, it can be postulated that North Korea wants to reform its economy, it's in the toilet, but it does not want to give up its nuclear arms.   Thus Kim will play Trump, get him to take sanctions off and even remove US military from South Korea, while developing his economy and keeping the BOMB.  This blog can not see any other US President being this foolish, even President Obama, and he did not go to Tehran for his failed nuclear deal.  One can also state that Hillary Clinton if she had won in 2016 would not have allowed herself to be conned.   What has happened to the HAWKS for the Republican Party, Nixon and Reagan would have been highly critical of the Trump move if they were still around.

This blog has made its prediction, that the Remainers HAVE WON, the HARD BREXIT supporters have shown that they can not take YES as a win, they have become fanatics, what they should have done is take the PM's deal and then work to get a new leader who supports BREXIT.   The FACT that the FRENCH are making it clear that they could say NO to a delay if it does not mean that the UK has changed its mind about leaving.  Thus HARD REMAINERS will try either for a LONG DELAY or for the UK to revoke Article 50.  Of course the HARD BREXIT supporters could get off their high horse and support the May deal, but one has doubts that the Hard Brexit MPs have the common sense to take the deal, they are throwing the PRIZE of leaving the EU out of the window.    The Conservative Party will not be forgiving for failing the UK voter.

One of the bedrocks of the Cold War was the FACT that both the US and then USSR understood that the use of nuclear weapons would mean the end of mankind.  Mutual Assured Destruction or MAD or short, kept both sides from going over the line, the closes the sides come to WAR was in 1962 with the Cuban Missile Crisis, when the USSR placed nuclear weapons in Cuba, at the end the USSR removed the Missiles, while the Kennedy Administration gave a secret assurance that it would take missiles out of Turkey in six months.  In 1983 the Kremlin Leadership had convinced itself that the Reagan Administration was about to do a first nuclear strike, when USSR radar showed a US nuclear strike, a brave and wise Soviet Office did not call the Kremlin, he thought it was a computer error, he was right, that is why we are all here.   When President Reagan learned that the USSR really thought that the US would strike in 1983 it started the path that would lead to the END OF THE COLD WAR with the arrival of President Gorbachev.   The examples above have been given to show how wise people need to make the right choices in the nuclear age.  One can only hope that India and Pakistan understand the COSTS of nuclear war, to miss quote Churchill, it's better to talk, talk, than War, War.

Corbyn ENDORSES a 2nd Brexit Vote - Brexit Update 4 - NO BREXIT

Thus Jeremy Corbyn has buckled to the HARD REMAINERS within his Party.   As stated the HARD REMAINERS have won the WAR, one can see Conservative HARD REMAINERS voting with Labour when it comes to a 2nd Brexit VOTE.   The Conservative Party has let down the UK, it has not remind united and PM May has failed to follow through with her promise that the UK would leave on MARCH 29th.   The FEAR of more MPs leaving the Labour Party has pushed Corbyn to support a 2nd vote.   One can see the road ahead, so the UK staying in the EU, the one silver lining is that if Corbyn does win a general election then the restrictions of the EU will prevent him taking over large areas of the UK economy.  Thus Brexit is FINISHED. 

Has PM May SOLD OUT Brexit? - Brexit Update 3 - No Brexit

Once you take a No Deal Brexit off the table the EU knows it has WON.  The PM in attempt to keep her Cabinet together has promised if there is NO DEAL then the HARD REMAINERS within the Conservative Party can vote for an extension of Article 50.   Of course this might  not be enough for the HARD REMAINERS, they want to kill off Brexit, and thus might support motions that take Brexit out of the hands of the Government and give the power to the House of Commons.  They Labour Party might vote for an Amendment that passes the May Deal but make it conditional or another Brexit vote, thus in essence killing off Brexit.  The Hard Remainers have never accepted Brexit, they have used any tactic to win, AND they have won, the UK will remain the EU, and the Conservative Party will pay the prize at the next election.  The Conservative Associations of the Hard Remainers should start the process to de-select them, they have had their 15 minutes of fame, know they should pay the price of going against the will of the UK voter, de - select them as MPs and place a Conservative candidate on the ticket who supports Brexit.  One thing that these elite MPs do not control is the local associations, they are the ones that get MPs elected, they are not rotten boroughs, the local landlord does not control who is the MP.

EU wants a DELAY in Brexit - Brexit Update 2 - NO Brexit

It can be postulated that the EU wants a delay as to allow for either a 2nd Brexit vote or for the TIGs in the House of Commons to develop in to a Pro Remain Party, with a leader and a local structure in REMAIN SEATS.   Also they could be looking forward to the Labour Party moving to support a 2nd Brexit vote, that is an option on the table this week.   As stated the Brexit WAR is over, the HARD REMAINERS have won, the HARD BREXIT supporters wanted purity, a HARD BREXIT, the numbers in the House of Commons does not support that, this action by the House of Commons could lead to a general election, the HARD BREXIT MPs have made it clear if BREXIT is taken away they will make PM May miserable by blocking her agenda.   The BREXIT WAR is OVER, the HARD BREXIT supporters have to go back to the trenches and expect to fight another Brexit vote, the HARD REMAIN ELITE will do anything to avoid defeat, in this they will be supported by the REMAIN ELITE PRESS and TV. 

Prediction - Brexit will be Delayed or Stopped - No Brexit

Lets Get Real:

The FACT that PM May has failed to get any REAL concessions from the EU opens the way for HARD REMAINERS to delay Brexit in the short term and then kill it off with another Brexit vote.  Once Brexit is delayed the HARD REMAINERS will use House of Commons rules to either get the Government to revoke Brexit or push Brexit 21 months down the road.   The Hard Brexit supporters have really mucked this up, they had the chance of the getting the UK out of the EU at the end of March, but they have become zealots, it's either their way or the highway.   Those that support Brexit have had Brexit stolen by the HARD REMAINERS, and in this they have been helped by the HARD BREXIT supporters on the Conservative back benches, thus one can see a formation of a new Brexit Party, one that could be a THREAT to the Conservative Party.   This blog hopes the above is wrong, but one's political guts tells one that Brexit has been LOST.  This blog is always honest with its readers. 

PM May could ONLY have 3 Months left in Office - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit?

The next few days could decide the future of the PM and Brexit, the PM has a EU meeting over the weekend, she need a legal concession over the backstop, that would allow a majority of hard brexit MPs to vote for her deal, they might not like it, but at least you get BREXIT.  On the other hand if the EU plays hardball and MPs gain the ability to defer Brexit then the cause of leaving the EU could be LOST.   IF the PM is successful, a deal passes the House of Commons, then she should sack the three Cabinet Ministers who have come out for a Article 50 to be extended, the HARD REMAINERS have showed that they can NOT BE TRUSTED.  One still gets the feeling that the HARD REMAINERS will steal BREXIT from the people, it would be SAD DAY for Democracy, it would show that Democracy had died a bit in the UK. 

Cabinet Remainers THREATEN Delay in Brexit - Brexit Update 1 - Post Brexit?

The PM needs something from the EU that can be seen as a legal concession when it comes to the backstop, then she can bring it to the House of Commons.   After that the HARD BREXIT supporters have to vote for it, even if they have deep reservations.  Otherwise the HARD REMAINERS will delay Brexit, and once that happens all bets are off, they will push for a 2nd Brexit vote or to revoke Brexit.   This blog is a firm HARD BREXIT supporter, it would brick up the Euro tunnel in the middle and the entrance, but this blog also lives in the real political world.  Brexit is the PRIZE, once that happens and PM May leaves the Brexit supporters can get a new Brexit leader in at No 10.   The Hard Brexit supporters must not be fanatics, they are after all CONSERVATIVES, they should take the WIN, and then get what they want afterwards. 

Could more Conservatives and Labour MPs defect? - Post Brexit?

The Independent Group has a lot of GENERALS, but so far no foot soldiers, who will be their local associations, who will knock on doors to tell the voters about their MP.  Who will place campaign material in envelopes, who will fund this new group or party.  As a group and not a Party the group will have to pay for their own photocopying, they will not get any short money, that is to pay for researches and admin etc.  Also a new poll in the Daily Mail from the UK Times shows the new group on 14%, while the Conservatives are on 38%, I know which Party I would want to belong too.   What happens when the press attention dies down or May gets a DEAL.   What does this new group or PARTY stand for, will its policies be centre left or right, it will it depend on the level of former LABOUR or CONSERVATIVE MPs in the new group.  My prediction is that his group or PARTY will fail, they need time, for that they need for there not to be a general election, thus in some way they have to keep the Conservatives in power, that will not go down well with the left wing media or those that say that they support this new group. 

May on the Irish Backstop - Brexit Update 1 - Post Brexit

One can only hope that PM May can get some kind of concession out of the EU, otherwise the HARD REMAINERS could take control of Brexit policy at the end of the month.   The HARD BREXIT supporters might have to hold their nose and vote for the May Deal, otherwise they face losing BREXIT and the UK not leaving the EU on March 29th.   The HARD BREXIT supporters are Conservative AFTER ALL, Conservatives do not believe in revolutions, we still have problems with the French Revolution!!  The PM has to get over to the EU that IF there are no concessions the UK could leave with a NO DEAL BREXIT, this would damage the UK and the EU, the Republic Ireland would need to be bailed out by the EU for the 2nd time.  Next week will be interesting, we should have a result either way, Brexit or an extension of Article 50 and the remainers running the show. 

Corbyn on Labour Defectors - Post Brexit?

Lets Get Real:

The above is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, the defecting MPs know that if they called by - elections they would be out on their ears.   They are not a political party yet, they have no manifesto, they have no local association, although the left media will give them media time, the Party stamp still carries more weight.   Thus if Corbyn presents another No Confidence vote will the the Independent Group vote for it, if they do that they are turkeys voting for Christmas.   The UK has a first pass the post electoral system, no PR, so no matter what percentage this new group gets in the polls, that does not mean they could win their own seats or any other seats.   Those on the Labour and Conservative benches with a political brain will only move if they think they have a chance of keeping their SEATS, if the new group is seen as a vanity project then they will fail.  The record of third parties in the UK is not good, the Conservative and Labour Parties have a BRAD and loyal voters, just because they might disagree on Brexit, it does not mean they will change their votes.   It will be interesting to see who leads the new group and what other policies they will have, so far they do not have anything beyond Brexit, when they start to have policies that could put off Labour and Conservative MPs.  One only hopes that PM May brings back a DEAL from the EU. 

Will Conservative HARD REMAINERS join the Labour Defectors? - Post Brexit?

It is the usual suspects here, this has blog has been clear before, but will restate it, an MPs does not owe his/her vote to anyone as stated by a well known Conservative writer, of course there is a BUT, a MPs needs people to knock on doors to get out the vote, to fill envelopes with campaign material, to keep the voters happy and to make sure he or her gets up to date information from the voters.  Thus the members of the local Conservative Association have to like their MP but also agree with him or her about their policy positions.  If the Association do not it can de-select the MPs, it is called local democracy.   If a MP is de-selected then he or she can stand as individual candidate as long as they pay the registration fee.   A MP should always vote his or her true feelings, but this politics, if you are not in the room, the House of Commons then who cares what you think, for that you need hardy foot soldiers who will go out in ALL weathers to knock on doors and to place campaign material around the Seat.   Democracy is very local, and when it comes to BREXIT, the people have decided in 2016, when a MP can not support the his or her Party and is out of favour with the local Association, then the MP can resign the Party Whip or form a new Party, that is called Democracy.  Politics is about give and take, MPs are not an elite god, who does not have to answer to the voters, they can go their own path, but do not expect blind followers, that is not Democracy. 

The SPLITS within the Labour Party - Post Brexit?

Lets Get Real:

Subjective:  As a true blue Conservative this blog would be very happy to see the Labour Party split, it would mean we would have more years in power.   Labour MPs who supported Tony Blair must be appalled to see their Party being taken over by the LEFT WING.   They have kept their silence, they have tried to fight from within inside the Party, but the Party has left them.  One has to feel sorry but also respect for the seven who have resigned the Labour Whip, it must have been HARD, but it was the right thing to do, if you can not support the LEADER, then it is time move on. 

Objective:  This new group needs to form a Party and quick, they have to be on social media, get a web page going, when this blog tried the new page by the new group it was told by its firewall that there was a problem with it, so first thing the group needs to do is FIX its website, make it sure it is secure, people will not give money to support the new group if the website is not secure.   The new group needs a LEADER, one with charisma, who can attract supporters and money.   On a whole a good start for this new group/party. 

Will Labour SPLIT APART ? - Post Brexit?

The question will other Labour MPs leave the Labour Party, one would think that they would wait in till PM May brings back her new BREXIT deal, and to see how Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn reacts.  Of course a few hard remainers from the Conservative Party could also defect, it would not be a shock.   As to the future of this new group, they are lucky, they can use social media to drum up support, the downside is that they need time, thus if Labour brings another No Confidence vote they might have to not vote or vote with the Government.  It can be expected that they will call for another Brexit vote, in this they could be supported by the Speaker, the Labour Leader can not risk losing those Labour MPs that support Brexit, thus it can be postulated that Corbyn will try not to have a policy.    UK politics just got very interesting, the MPs who have split might have a major impact or their political careers could end with the next general election, it will depend on the voters.

The HARD BREXIT supporters are playing a very RISKY game, the PRIZE is leaving the EU, the economic side can wait, IF the PM can get a EXIT out of the Irish Backstop the Hard Brexit supporters have to support the PM.  Otherwise the PM might be forced to agree to the demands of those that want a SOFT BREXIT, or of the Labour Party or worse have a 2nd Brexit vote.   The PM can show the EU that they have to move, otherwise the UK could be heading for a NO DEAL BREXIT, that would mean that the EU would not get its 39 billion.  The crunch vote will come at the end of February, the HARD BREXIT supporters can not seek 100% political purity when it comes to Brexit, if they do that they could LOSE Brexit.   This blog is a hard brexit supporter but also a Conservative, take your winnings and then after PM May resigns gets a Brexit PM in to No 10 Downing Street.

This is article shows the extreme LEFT WING are re-writing history when it comes to Sir Winston Churchill, the greatest Leader of Great Britain did not cause the death of a miner in 1910, the action was taken by the Police who faced a violent crowd.  The extreme left always wants to smear our great leaders and our Empire, their moral compass has been off since Lenin and Stalin, they covered up for Stalin and only supported the War effort when Adolf Hitler invaded the USSR.   The extreme left or communists have never gotten over the fall of the USSR, an Evil Empire they supported, the left speak and write fiction, Stalin used to remove his former colleagues from pictures when they had been removed from power.  Let's be honest the case of 1910 sounds like there was a need for the RIOT ACT to be read, miners then and in the 1980s seemed to think that they were above the LAW, it took Churchill and Thatcher to remove that fiction.   There should be a states of Churchill and Thatcher in every South Wales town, just to remind them of reality, and to stop living in their fake history.   The disgraceful actions of some South Wales people when Lady Thatcher died showed that the ending of the Mines in the South Wales was the best thing that happened for the UK, at the end of the day, they were just workers who worked underground, after they bought down PM Heath in 1974 they had to be removed, they were a threat to DEMOCRACY.

The Democratic contenders for 2020 have already come out in opposing the DEAL between the Senate and the House, they know that their BASE wants to them oppose POTUS on everything, the problem is the base will not get them elected in 2020 and their policy views will not go down well with the FLY OVER STATES.   The coastal States of New York and California are VERY LIBERAL, but as shown in 2000 and 2016, the Democrats can win the popular vote but lose the ELECTORAL COLLEGE, that MAJOR fact does not seem to have burst the Democratic bubble yet.  The moderates and those in the centre of the Democratic Party need to find another Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, candidates with charisma, also not seen as too LIBERAL.  Thus we wait the entry of former Vice  President Joe Biden, he might be a electoral threat to POTUS, he might attract the old Reagan Democrats and those Democrats that supported the Obama/Biden ticket in 08 and 20212.  Of course the nominee might be someone who no one has heard off, November 2020 is very much down the road, and it's long road.

President Trump started his re-election campaign with his State of the Union speech that went down well with the voters.  The President can say that the US Congress has failed to defend the Southern US border, and thus as President he is declaring a national emergency.   The Republican critics say that if POTUS goes down this road a future Democratic President could do the same thing, well POTUS does not care, he is thinking about his base and 2020.   The Trump Campaign will paint the Democrats are left wing socialists, who do not want to defend the border, want abortion on demand, will tax anyone in the Middle Class, the really rich will always find ways to avoid paying tax, ALSO that Democrats want to increase welfare to those that do not want to work, will get rid of the private health insurance of Americans.   The Trump Oval will play hardball, the President has to keep his BASE happy, he will need them in 2020 and also to back him in case the Special Prosecutor comes back with a HARD REPORT on the 2016 Trump Campaign.  The 2020 Presidential campaign started in January of 2019, it is going to be a LONG year and half.   

My Deal or No Brexit - Brexit Update 1 - Post Brexit?

The PM is playing a very cynical and risky game, it is a matter of who blinks first, the PM knows that the main prize for most Brexit supporters is OUT of the EU, and the risk of losing that will force MPs to back HER DEAL.  On the other hand HARD REMAINERS will try to thwart Brexit by passing a motion that would delay Brexit if there is NO DEAL.   The PM needs something OUT of the EU, a face saving way for Brexit MPs to support the deal, it can be argued that once the UK is out of the EU a future Conservative PM can have another look at the MAY DEAL.   The PRIZE is leaving the EU, that is the most important thing, Brexit supporters want that above anything else, Brexit MPs should support the May Deal or risk losing Brexit.

Are the Democrats trying to LOSE the 2020 election, the leading candidates have endorsed a socialist agenda of  Green New Deal, it would cost trillions and would never get pass the US Congress.  The main candidates are pushing for tax hikes on the rich, and medical over for ALL AMERICANS, and the removal of private health insurance.   The Trump State of Union called what the Democrats doing as socialist, what was shocking is the fact that when POTUS stated that the US would never be a socialist country, the Democrats sat on their hands.   Thus the extreme left wing has taken over the Democratic Party, if the Trump Oval could keep on message it could destroy the Democratic Party for 2020.  One only hopes that former VP Joe Biden enters the race, a grown up, but then he has started his sorry tour over his support for tough laws in the 80s and 90s.   IF the Democrats are seen as supporting illegal immigration then they can forget the rust belt States.   They Democrats are making the same mistake as military commanders fighting a new War based on the results of 2018, two years is a LONG TIME, every Presidential Election is different, the Obama Campaign team of 08 and 12 could not get HRC elected, and HRC was a moderate, liberal on domestic issues but tough on foreign policy.   The papers and networks that give Democratic candidates air time, the ones with no chance of winning, are defrauding their customers, the political reports who write about them, should give back their reporters degrees and refund their paychecks, they are not doing their job.   IF the US Government shuts down again, the Trump Oval should keep it CLOSED, make the case that the Democrats are more interested in illegal immigrants that legal Americans.

The PRO Remain Sky News sees the acceptance of talks by the PM as her softening her RED LINES.   Also it could be seen that the PM is reminding her HARD BREXIT supporters if they want to see Brexit they have to support her.   It has been argued that the PM is playing for time, that she is either looking for the House of Commons to pass her DEAL or she is seeking a NO DEAL Brexit.   The PM is keeping her cards close to her chest, she is keeping her HARD REMAINERS and HARD BREXIT MPs in line so far, will they bolt on Thursday on give her most time, the various groups it can be postulated will set down various Amendments for Thursday, will the PM and the Government defeat them, or will the House of Commons take control of Brexit.

The letter from the PM to the Leader of the Opposition has split some of the papers, one sees it as a firm NO from the PM, while others see it as the PM moving for a Soft Brexit.  The meaningful vote on the withdrawal agreement could come at the end of March, of course the HARD REMAINERS will try on Thursday to thwart Brexit.   One wonders what the Remain Cabinet Ministers and the Ministers of State to, will they resign and vote with the Opposition, will they undermine the PM.   The PM should consider sending the Houses of Parliament in to Recess and run the Government through Royal Decree.   There is NO WAY that 650 MPs can decide foreign policy, the HARD REMAINERS just want to STOP Brexit, in this they will be helped by a bias Speaker.   The HARD BREXIT supporters have to get the prize of the UK out of the EU, they can get what they want after May has a successor at No 10.

This could be a ploy by HARD REMAINERS to sneak an extension of Article 50.  The Conservative Chief Whips should have their eyes and ears open, the PM needs to place pressure on Hard Remainers within the Cabinet to stay, make it clear, once they are OUT, there is no coming back, when it's over its over.   Also the Conservative Chief Whips should be having talks with Labour MPs from Leaves Seats, remind them that the Government is willing to fund these poor areas, all politics is local, and the voters want to see their MPs bring home the bacon.   The PM has to be tough with the EU, if they STALL, make it clear that the UK will leave with No Deal.  The next few weeks are going to be very interesting, if you are a political geek.

It can be argued that both Sky News and BBC News are showing their true colours, they want to REMAIN and get a 2nd Brexit vote.  It is May bashing nearly ALL THE TIME and hardly any mention of the project fear that the Remainers used in 2016 and still lost the vote.  The PM has to keep to her strategy, take it down to the line.   Any talks with the EU always go down to the last minute.  The HARD BREXIT supporters should always recall that the PRIZE is OUT of the EU, so they must not seek 100% of what they want, once we are out of the EU we can get a Brexit PM and change any deals made by PM May.   The HARD REMAINERS will try to block Brexit NEXT WEEK.   The PM should consider sending Houses of Parliament in to recess and use the the Royal Prerogative to get any new rules set in place before the UK leaves the EU as planned on March 29th.   Any extension of Article 50 will be used by Remainers to thwart Brexit. 

2nd Woman Accuses Lt Governor Fairfax of Virginia of Sexual Assault - Trump Era

This commentary is about the politics of the race and sexual scandals in Virginia, it does not give a  moral view of either three cases.

The Female Candidates running for the 2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination have called on Lt Governor Fairfax to resign.  The irony of this call is that should Fairfax resign the Governor with his own race scandal would appoint a new Deputy.  One can see the Lt Governor thinking, Bill Clinton was accused of sexual assault and he did not resign.   It is now a custom for people caught up in scandal NOT TO RESIGN, they play it out over the long term, rare exception was a recent Democratic Senator who resigned, due to pressure from his Democratic colleagues.   African American voters will ask if there is one rule for Bill Clinton but another for the Lt Governor, that would cause problems with the base of the Democratic Party, as the major players are African American voters and women.   The Trump Oval must be loving this, as long as the Governor, Lt Governor and the Attorney General stay in OFFICE in Virginia the President can point to the fact that the Democrats are in a glass house, not a wise idea to throw bricks about.

In normal circumstances this would help the female candidates who are running for the 2020 Democratic Nomination, but it does not, Warren is a laughing stock after her claim that she was a Native American, while Harris wants to take away the private medical insurance of Americans.   Also Warren wants to tax the rich in till the bleed, while Harris is on a sorry spin for her time as a Special Prosecutor.   The OTHER female candidates as of this time are famous in their own houses, just.   As for Senator Booker he does not have the Obama charisma, he is no JFK, Bill Clinton or as stated Barack Obama.   Thus it is being reported that former VP Biden might enter the race, a recent poll showed a majority of Americans want this, but then Biden also has his problems, he supported tough criminal laws in the 80s and 90s, as with Harris he has said he is sorry.   Also he will have to carry the Obama record, the good and the bad.   This is not the first time Biden might run, he has run before and LOST, also he has a foot in mouth problem.   At present the Democratic candidates for President do NOT IMPRESS, it might be time for a THIRD PARTY for US politics. 

May MEETING with the EU - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit

PM May has to be TOUGH with the EU, she has to get what she wants, a modification of the backstop or she walks away.  The PM should show the EU that she means it by sending the House of Commons in to recess and use the Royal Prerogative to get the UK ready for a HARD BREXIT.   The UK managed to get through WW1, WW2, the Spanish Flu, the Cold War, we can get through a few trucks having to take their time at the PORTS.   The EU should be told that they will not get their 39 billion, they can take us to COURT, at whatever the result they still wont get the money.   The HARD REMAINERS will try to thwart Brexit, the Government must keep control of the process.  The meeting today will be VERY INTERESTING.

This is why the UK voter voted to leave the EU.   The EU at its most basic is saying that Leave voters are going to HELL.  Well if that is the case the UK Government can spend the 39 billion it was going to give to the EU to the NHS and also TAX CUTS.   The EU was never that popular in the UK, the EU might under the impression of Tony Blair that if they wait and play hardball then the UK will change its mind or go for a SOFT BREXIT.   Europeans have never understood the UK, there have been reports that the Germans want a EXIT for all parties, one hopes that Berlin reminds the EU who funds them most, and it's not the French.  The meeting between the PM and the EU should be interesting, the EU have to give something or the UK is heading for a HARD BREXIT.

This blog does not normally sorry for Democrats, but with the case of the Virginia Governor, the Lt. Governor and now the Attorney General one has to feel that the voters have been defrauded by the Democratic Establishment.  As stated in this blog Governor Northam's record should have been checked, even more so by the Republicans, with Lt. Governor the Party should have had defence strategy in place in case the information came out, as to the Attorney General who has called for the Governor to quiet he comes across as a hypocrite of the FIRST ORDER.   It should be noted that the first two both deny the allegations, the Governor at first stated that he was in a picture that has some who had blackened up and another person in the outfit of the KKK.   The next day he stated that he was not in the picture, but had done an impression of a singer in a singing contest, he had blackened his face.   As for the Lt. Governor he has denied the allegation of sexual assault, and has hired lawyers to deal with the case.   The political context is simple, there are elections in Virginia, and the Democrats had a good chance of taking both Chambers, one has to ask will the African - American vote still go for the Democrats with these scandals.   Then we come to 2020, if the above stay in OFFICE, what will the Democratic candidates do, skip Virginia, go there but not have the main OFFICE HOLDERS by their side.  If one did not know better one would think that POTUS was paying Democratic pols to screw up the election for the Democrats. 

PM May and the Northern Irish Backstop - Brexit Update 1 - Post Brexit

BBC News: Reports " Theresa May has said she wants changes to the controversial backstop but suggested she is not seeking to remove it from her Brexit deal.  "

Lets Get Real:

There will be some HARD BREXIT supporters will not support this view of the PM, they want the backstop removed from the withdrawal agreement, the main problem is the FACT that at present the backstop does NOT END.  If the PM can get a legal agreement that the backstop does have a full stop at some point or that the UK can revoke it after some time that would help get the withdrawal agreement through the House of Commons.   The PRIZE for Brexit supporters is to leave the political EU, trade and customs union etc can be dealt with later on by a new Brexit PM.  The Hard Brexit supporters must now allow the HARD REMAINERS to win because they need total purity in their cause.  It will be interesting to see what the PM comes back with on Thursday after her meeting with the EU.

IF the Lt Governor is to be believed then the Governor is behind this alleged sexual assault smear.   They play dirty pool in Democratic politics.   One has to ask what the Democratic Establishment was doing, a, by allowing Northam to get the Democratic Nomination for Governor and b, not doing complete research on Fairfax, so this alleged allegation could be dismissed and the press could be shown before the story broke that it was NOT TRUE.   It will be interesting to see how the liberal news media play both stories, on the Governor they want him OUT, that is VERY CLEAR, on Fairfax they should recall the allegations of sexual miss conduct by Bill Clinton, it's not a matter of LAW it is about POLITICS.   The Democratic candidates for the Presidency in 2020 might want to avoid Virginia, it's CAUSES to many questions.   POTUS will be laughing his backside off, he can now with a straight face point the finger at the Democrats when it comes to race or gender issues and how they have come up short, the Democrats have allowed hubris to take them over, everyone is human, and we ALL have clay feet.

This blog will not comment on either the Northam or Fairfax case, in the case of the Governor he at first he stated he was in a racist photo, either he blacked up or was wearing a KKK outfit, then at a press conference he stated that it was not him.  He did admit that he blacked up for a singing contest when he was young.  The Democratic Party has called for his resignation, thus far he has refused. As for Lt Governor Fairfax he points out that no real news source has backed up the story and has denied that any sexual assault took place.  This blog is interested in the politics, Democrats strategis must be pulling THEIR hair out, how can they go after Trump with both the Governor and Lt Governor involved in alleged race and sex scandals, both deny them, but in this 24/7 news world that does not count.  A smear can hurt and can be heard around the World before the TRUTH comes out.  For 2020 Democratic candidates Virginia could be very TRICKY, the candidates who solve the problem will be the ones left standing for Iowa and NH in 2020.

Its FEBRUARY folks, we have a YEAR to go.   Let's recall that VP Biden has not entered the race yet, the uber LIBERAL New York Times has already putting out any fires that might cause Biden not to run, his foundations and other structures, also his speeches.   As to Senator Harris she might have blown it already by her comments at a CNN town meeting, she stated that her plan was to abolish private medical insurance, the US voter will recalls Barack Obama's false claim, if you liked your Doctor you could keep him/her, thus when you get into the weeds with private medical insurance people go off the idea of losing THEIR cover.  As for Senator Sanders and Warren they are to LIBERAL, Warren wants to tax the rich to the point that it would make the US look like the 1970s all over again.  As to Senator Booker he has just entered the race, this blog agrees with President Trump, he will not be the Democratic Nominee, he does not have "IT", whatever you might think of Barack Obama he has charisma, Booker is no Obama.   Thus this blog is still waiting for that RIGHT candidate, he or she needs to be LIBERAL on domestic issues but not to liberal, does not pander and is to the right of Vlad the Impaler when it comes to foreign policy.

The US has to be ready to send in the troops, Presidents Reagan and Bush 41 both used force in the Americas, Maduro has destroyed the oil rich Venezuela, his LEFT WING regime is corrupt and destroyed Venezuela from within.   President Trump will get flak if he takes action, the LEFT in the US has never gotten over Vietnam and the Iraq War of Bush 43.  The Crisis in Venezuela has to be solved soon, if Maduro will not go and the Army will not support the people then the US must consider taking swift and hard military action against Maduro.   The Russians will complain, but what are they going to do, they are hardly going to support Maduro, they will not declare WW3 over the issue.  The Trump Oval has to be tough and follow through with its threats.
