I was watching the New Chief Secretary of the Treasury David Laws on the BBC's Daily Politics show and he stated that Labour Chief Secretary had left him a note, Mr Laws thought it was advice on how to deal with the Treasury or other Departments, no it was a lot simpler, it stated that there was no more money. The new Chief Secretary stated he would use this note against the Labour opposition in the House of Commons. This was the final mistake of New Labour, a Conservative Minister would have taken it as a private note of dark humour, the Libe Dems don't have a sense of humour that one can see, they tend to believe their own spin, thus in one way its was quite an insulting note, its like getting your dream job and finding that the company is broke and your the one to cut costs. I think one can say that the idea of a Progressive Left Alliance between Labour and the Libs Dems has been buried with New Labour.
