MPs to get Final Vote on Brexit Deal - Post EU Vote

Telegraph - Live Reporting: Reports the following in its 2.26 post, " MPs WILL get meaningful vote ..David Jones,  the Brexit minister, has just announced that both peers and MPs will get a vote on the final Brexit deal before it is agreed with the EU. ..This is a significant climbdown on the Article 50  Bill and an attempt to see off Tory rebels...He says: I can confirm that the Government will bring forward a motion on the final agreement to be agreed by both Houses of Parliament before it's concluded and we expect and intend that this will happen before the European Parliament debates and votes on the final agreement. "

Lets Get Real:

This should buy off the Conservative rebels and those within other Parties, its seems that No 10 was afraid it did not have the votes in the House of Commons or the Lords.  On the whole it seems like a good idea to have the Houses of Parliament have a vote on the final result, in that time the Conservatives can make sure they have their own votes in the hat, also it should mean less pressure on the Labour Party.   As this blog has noted its the Queen in Parliament that is sovereign, not the Judges! One expects less rebel attacks now that the above decision has been made.

Will there be more Shadow Cabinet Resignations ? - Labour Party

Lets Get Real:

There might be some pro EU Conservative MPs who might rebel, then you have the SNP, LibDems, and other Parties who will oppose the Government, it is too early to say if there will be no amendments, we shall how far MPs are ready to rebel, for some its a matter of principal for others it could define their career or lack of career in the House of Commons.  An interesting two days of watching the House of Commons.

Is the Labour Party falling apart ? - Post EU Vote

Lets Get Real:

The issue of Europe is tearing the Labour Party apart, there are those who want to remain, a majority within the Labour Party lead by a leader who is half hearted about the EU at the best of times, and this is the worse of times for Labour.   If Corbyn can not hold his Shadow Cabinet united under his policy, there will be those in Labour who will try to topple his again, not a good time to be a Labour MP.

Trump and the Travel Ban - Trump Era

Telegraph - Live Reporting: Reports " President Donald Trump has told a gathering of troops in Florida that he wanted to allow into the United States people who "want to love our country," as he defended his travel ban on his first visit to the Central Command headquarters. "

Lets Get Real:

POTUS is stubborn when it comes to his travel ban, the final result will come from the US Supreme Court, of course that is divided four to four, between liberals and conservatives.   Thus the Trump choice of a Supreme Court nominee comes into play, will he be confirmed before the case reaches the Court.   The Democrats should be careful, if there is a terrorist attack on the US from a immigrant that comes from the nations blocked the Democrats will pay the price when it comes to 2018 Mid Terms.   The liberal Courts have to be careful, they would be undermined if a terrorist act does happen, interesting days in the Courts.    The Trump is playing to his base, to hell with the Constitution of the US.

One is starting to think that the conspiracy theorists might have a point, that Russia has some dirt on Trump, who goes out of his way to defend President Putin, what earthly reason, the old argument that Russia will help in the Middle East is a bit tired, so far they have not attacked Daesh in Syria in force, does Trump really believe that he can work with Putin?  The answer was in response to the statement that Putin is a killer, the President stated the above, WHY? It might be a good idea for the US Congress to investigate the links between Trump and the Russians, it starting to smell fishy!!!   One does not credit Trump with being naive.

Lets Get Real:

The liberal media elite have been negative about Trump from the start, his travel ban is also hated by the elite media, thus one is not shocked that a majority of Americans oppose the policy.   The policy itself is racist, it hits Muslim Countries and makes people less likely to help Americans on the ground.   As an example those who helped Western forces in Iraq and are seeking to make a new home in the US after Iraq become too dangerous for them and their families are left stuck, this will be looked at in the future by people asked to help the US and they will  see when it comes right down to it the US will leave them with a big X on their back.  Thus one can only hope that the US Federal Courts stick to their view and revoke the ban.

Tehran should be careful, with the Courts blocking Trump's travel ban, the Oval Office might need to release it's anger by taking it out on Iran, in the field of foreign policy with the exception of the travel ban the President in many respects his own Master.    Thus to divert attention the Oval might tell the US Navy to attack any ships from Iran or it allies that come close and are a threat, Obama did not take action when this happened, this is Trump, he might let lose the dogs of war on Tehran.  The new President will find that the Oval Office is not a reality tv show, his orders can be countered by the US system, and getting Europe to be tough on Iran might be difficult.   The European Countries see a new market; after sanctions were lifted due to the nuclear deal; for their stuff, thus economic needs might outway security needs.  It only been three weeks since Trump took office, one wonders will he have white hair as President Obama did after eight years in the job.
