The REAL US Policy in Syria - Syria Crisis 4

Telegraph: Has the following story about the real US view of the Syrian Civil War, " US 'will not intervene in Syria as rebels don't support interests', says top general ".

Lets Get Real:

Folks the Democrats and the US Defence Department is gun shy after Afghanistan and Iraq, the military feel like they have been left with the baby when it comes to Iraq and Afghanistan, they have taken the terrible losses, while the political top brass take cover and leave the mess for the military to clear up.   If your POTUS you take the advice of the military but you do not allow them to have a VETO, if this had been the case Bush 41 would have waited for sanctions to work to to get Iraq out of Kuwait before the first Gulf War.  After Vietnam the US Military has a typical argument when it comes to taking action, you will need hundreds of troops, it will cost billions and you could lose, President Reagan was a tough War Leader, he lost hundreds of US Marines in a bomb attack in Lebanon in 1983, the the following day he invaded Grenada to protect US Citizens, a  US President must lead, otherwise the enemies of the US will see a weak giant and act, one has to feel sorry for the people of Syria, more will die, SO SAD.

Guardian: Reports the following from Syria, " Death toll claimed to be as high as 1,400 as Syrian government admits launching offensive but denies using chemical weapons  ".

Lets Get Real:

This is what you get folks when you have a weak US President, vicious Regimes like the Assad Regime can get away with murder, the Oval likes the title POTUS but does not want to get its hands dirty, it fears losing its liberal base, the liberal base did not support the overthrow of Gaddafi of Libya, after Iraq the and Afghanistan the liberal base is gun shy, it does not want the US to lead, it expects the UN to lead, well with the Russian and China VETO that is not going to happen folks, thus if the West does not take action over the latest use of chemical weapons in Syria one can postulate that Iran will go nuclear, this will force Israel to ACT, this could lead to a regional WAR, then the Oval and the West will have to get its hands very dirty, Western voters will not be happy if the petrol prices shoot up due to a Middle East Regional War.

BBC News: Reports that the Syrian Opposition is claiming that a 1,000+ Syrians have been killed in a chemical weapon attack this morning on the outskirts of Damascus.

Lets Get Real: 

Even now folks the Russians are supporting the Assad Regime, this blog will VERY SURPRISED if Moscow agrees to any more tougher UN resolutions, one thing about the Russians they support a strategic ally to the end, the Russians needs their only warm water port in Syria, thus unlike Obama with Egypt it it can be postulated that Putin's Russia will place the blame for any chemical attack at the door of the Syrian Opposition, thus folks after all the hot air out of Western Capitals we will be back to the West doing nothing and Assad killing his own people and Al Qaeda growing in influence in Syria, while the Oval fiddles the Middle East burns.

The White House: Has the following Statement from the WH on the allegation that the Assad Regime used chemical weapons on its own people early this morning, " The United States is deeply concerned by reports that hundreds of Syrian civilians have been killed in an attack by Syrian government forces, including by the use of chemical weapons, near Damascus earlier today.  We are working urgently to gather additional information.

 

The United States strongly condemns any and all use of chemical weapons.  Those responsible for the use of chemical weapons must be held accountable.  Today, we are formally requesting that the United Nations urgently investigate this new allegation.  The UN investigative team, which is currently in Syria, is prepared to do so, and that is consistent with its purpose and mandate.  For the UN’s efforts to be credible, they must have immediate access to witnesses and affected individuals, and have the ability to examine and collect physical evidence without any interference or manipulation from the Syrian government.  If the Syrian government has nothing to hide and is truly committed to an impartial and credible investigation of chemical weapons use in Syria, it will facilitate the UN team’s immediate and unfettered access to this site.  We have also called for urgent consultations in the UN Security Council to discuss these allegations and to call for the Syrian government to provide immediate access to the UN investigative team.  The United States urges all Syrian parties including the government and opposition, to provide immediate access to any and all sites of importance to the investigation and to ensure security for the UN investigative team. ".

Lets Get Real:

This shows folks how much contempt the Assad Regime has for President Obama, IF TRUE the Assad Regime has used chemical weapons while the UN is on the ground, one can assume that the fraught Egypt policy of the Oval has given the Assad the view that this President will never ACT, he is weak, he stated that the use of chemical weapons was a red line, and has done nothing when it has been confirmed in the past that Assad has used WMD.   Thus folks the Oval will bluster, make calls for UN action and DO NOTHING.  The Assad Regime has WON folks due to the feckless nature and ego of President Obama.  Over a hundred thousand Syrians have died because of the Obama ego.   The Oval does have blood on its hands. 

Israel and Egypt - 2nd Term Blues

The New York Times: Has the following in its Editorial, " Israel has been vigorously lobbying the United States and Europe to back the generals. ".

Lets Get Real:

This is typical of the left wing NYT, it is using its anti Israeli stand as a way to attack Egypt, well lets see, who is closer, Israel or the elite out of touch NYT to Egypt, who base their security on a stable Egypt, the answer is of course Israel, the Egyptian Army has kept its word when it comes to the Camp David Peace Deal between Israel and Egypt, the NYT are either naive or are fools, or both, if US cuts Egypt adrift, either Russia or other local powers could come in to support the Egypt.  Then when the US is out in the COLD the very same elite will be shoving Egypt up the ego of the Oval.    It has been reported that the Oval has frozen aid to Egypt, thus the Oval has shown weakness, even Jimmy Carter looks good when compared to Obama, who would have thought this blog would write that in a post. 

The Oval and Egypt - 2nd Term Blues

CNN - Politics: Reports that the "  U.S. temporarily holds up some military aid to Egypt ".

Lets Get Real:

This is a massive mistake by the Oval, as the article notes the US has " preferential use of the Suez Canal...It also has overflight rights, which gives the U.S. military the ability to fly over Egypt on the way to bases in the region. ".  Thus folks what happens when Saudi Arabia fills in the gap or even worse the Russians, the US will have lost a close ally, this move by the Oval is due to pressure by the US Senate, it shows how weak the Oval is, a great President would have taken the Congress on, made the case that Egypt is to important to US National Security to play games with, you can not have a 100 hundred Senators who think they are experts on Foreign Policy, this could backfire on the Oval folks, this is a massive mistake that could sink the 2nd Obama term. 

The Snowden Files - Snowden Case 3

Telegraph: Reports more on the Snowden case, " Police who detained the partner of a journalist under anti-terrorism laws seized encrypted computer files from the American whistleblower Edward Snowden, it has been claimed. ".

Lets Get Real:

The question that has to be asked why did the Police release the partner at the reporter at the centre of the Snowden case, the partner was carrying stolen US intelligence, but also intelligence that has implications for UK security.  At what point did UK and US national security become less important than freedom.  Are the rights of the individual more important than the safety of the majority of the people in both the US and the UK.   Lets be clear folks, press freedom is important, and this blog will fight to protect the right of papers and other news outfits to keep their Governments in line, but that line does not include the right of liberal newspapers to destroy the security of the the Homeland or the Realm.   Thus the political parties should come together and be critical of the press, what happens if there is another 9/11, 7/7. all because of the leaks by the press, press freedom yes folks, not press freedom at any expense.    Time for a D - NOTICE for the Guardian.
