The UK and Egypt - After Russian Crash

 10 Downing Street: Reports. " While the investigation is still ongoing we cannot say categorically why the Russian jet crashed. But as more information has come to light we have become concerned that the plane may well have been brought down by an explosive device.

In light of this and as a precautionary measure we have decided that flights due to leave Sharm for the UK this evening will be delayed. That will allow time for a team of UK aviation experts, currently travelling to Sharm, to make an assessment of the security arrangements in place at the airport and to identify whether any further action is required. We expect this assessment to be completed tonight.

In terms of flights from the UK to Sharm, there are no more departures today.

We would underline that this is a precautionary step and we are working closely with the airlines on this approach. The Prime Minister will chair a COBR at 6:45pm to review the situation and we will provide an update after that meeting. "

Lets Get Real:

IT can be postulated that new information came from sources within UK intelligence, the Government must make sure that ALL flights from Sharm are safe for British citizens.   There must also be pressure on Egypt to upgrade its security for the region.  Thus far Egypt and Russia have been quite about this development, as stated in previous blog they have had reasons for the crash to be seen as technical, in the Russian case its attacks on Daesh in Syria, they do no want to see a connection between the two, and in the case of Egypt they need tourists to come to Egypt, if it was a bomb, this will hit the tourist trade.  This is developing story.

Lets Get Real:

The murky world of Syria has become even more dense with the Russians coming to join the fight, it can be argued that Western Forces and Russian Forces should never be this close, it only takes a hot shot Russian pilot or a missile commander to shoot a missile that hits either Western planes or Western ground troops in Syria, it has already been stated by the US that they are sending special forces in to Syria, one can assume that US forces are already there, that is the same with the SAS.   Thus the UK should keep out of this mess for the near future, its going to get worse in Syria, sooner or later the UK and the US will have to send in ground forces to Syria and Iraq, lets not rush that moment. 

Trump LEADS in New Hampshire - Election 2016

There is an argument that Trump should ditch Iowa to Carson as the Doctor has a good lead there, a win in New Hampshire could lead to Trump having the BIG MO as Bush 41 stated, the question is can the ego of Donald Trump take letting Iowa go, in many ways Trump is like LBJ, he likes to be loved, that is a weakness for a candidate or even a President.   The Donald should use his money in the primary States, develop a staff structure and go ALL IN to win.   My God it could still be President Trump!

No Terrorist Act - The US Government

Thus you have claim and counter claim and that is from the people who should know what in the hell is going on, of course there are reasons why both Russia and Egypt might want the plane crash to be an accident,  on the view fro Egypt a terror attack would be BAD for the tourist trade, the Country has just recovered from the counter revolution from the Army, it needs the tourist trade for dollars, while Putin in Russia does not want the view to form within the Russian people that the actions of Putin in Syria lead to this attack, that might cause Russians to question their popular President.   Thus nothing over in till its over. 

Terror Claim for Plane Crash in Egypt - Russian Airline

BBC News: Reports " The Russian airline Kogalymavia has blamed "external influence" for Saturday's Sinai plane crash which killed 224 people. "

Lets Get Real:

This blog has not commented on the crash as original ideas were that it was a technical error with the plane that caused the crash, as the days have gone it has become generally thought that the bringing down of the plane was due to the hands of Daesh or many other terrorists groups in the region.   Lets look at the reason why a Russian airline was hit, at the present Russia is hitting targets in Syria, the general view from the West is that Russia is hitting enemies of Assad while not targeting Daesh in a direct manner.   This opens the prospect that Al Qaeda or one of its franchise bodies hit the plane, or that it was Daesh directly, the Middle East is murky, it might takes years to find the answer, so let us think of those that died, let us never allow terrorists to win.

IF true this would be quite damaging to the reputation of the former PM.   The question did it happen, one has doubts, Government records are not on the whole destroyed, they just go missing and can not be found or are marked Top Secret never to be seen again or after fifty years.  As the Iraq Inquiry's report comes close to publication expect more of these stories, those there at the time will want to cover their positions.   This blog still supports the invasion of Iraq in 2003, but is fast becoming a minority of two, me and the former Prime Minister. 

Doctor Who Review - The Zygon Invasion

Lets Get Real:

This week Doctor Who took on the War on Terror, there were even drones, you would have to be an idiot not to miss for a allegory of the Zygons being a combination of Al Qaeda and Daesh.    Also we see the return of UNIT, and the Doctor as the President of the World, would you call his plane Doctor One, the Doctor wanted to talk to the Zygons, the chaps at UNIT just wanted to bomb the threat, the Brig would be for bombing.   What was interesting was the Doctor's argument that the terrorists were a bad faction, that he needed to talk to the leaders, problem there was a coup against the leaders.    Also Clara was taken by the Zygons and her double shot down Doctor 1.   The BBC really needs to get Doctor Who back to its early timing, it is losing viewers to reality shows, no more reality shows!
