80 Billion pounds BAILOUT for Ireland

Telegraph: Reports that Ireland will ask for a bailout of up to 100 billion Euros, that around 85 billion pounds. Thus this bailout will cover the banks and the Government debt, the price folks, that is a lot worse than the UK austerity package of the UK Government, they are even cutting the minimum wage folks, this will hit the poor, but this is the sad part it just might help the economy, a minimum wage is all well and good when the economy is going great but when your in the recession the minimum wage can throw older workers out of work, if your in business and you have to pay someone younger less of a wage than a older person you will get rid of that old person. This is the real world folks, it has to be asked should the UK also balance out its minimum wage, thus its costs an employer the same to hire and older person as someone younger, in these hard time folks the question has to be asked, how many older workers are thrown on the dole due to the fact of their age.

Ireland BETRAYED

Guardian: The Guardian writes the following on the Irish Leaders in Dublin “… who shipwrecked the economy and then capsized the lifeboats. ”. This blog is calling for a new European Law that will place political leaders on trial should they cause their countries to go down the toilet, now just a hollow law but a real law, with prison time, even better hard time doing the roads. This kind of law would have a sobering effect on ALL politicians, they would take care with the economies of the voters, its time to make politicians pay the price for their disastrous policies, otherwise they get away with their pensions and the speaking circuit, what about Gordon Brown for the first trial.

YES Bailout for Ireland

BBC News: Reports that Ireland has finally gotten around to asking the EU/IMF for a bailout of its banks and Government deficit. Thus the question that has to be asked will this cure the problem or just place a very slight plaster over the economic wound of Ireland, how much will the UK have to give Ireland, the sum goes from around 7-8 billion pounds, all those savings from the Coalition cuts will go to Ireland, it’s a funny old world folks.

The Dirty Politics of the 1960 Election - JFK

BBC News: Andrew Marr looks at the dirty politics of the Kennedy Machine in 1960 from Kennedy’s win of the Democratic Nomination to the fight against Nixon. If you read all the books about the Kennedy and Nixon feud you can understand why Richard Nixon on one level envied JFK, the charm, the charisma etc but also hated him, lets be honest JFK didn’t invent dirty US politics but he did make it a science. Also there are the mob connections and the 1960 Democratic fight, its there but very hard to prove, but its interesting folks and we are still taking about the race, even Kennedy and Nixon would have liked that outcome.

Terror Trial Failure - The Obama Era

BBC News: Reports that the first terrorist from the Guantanamo Prison tried in US Civilian Court has been found guilty of only one count out of 286. This is a massive failure for the Obama Presidency, there are only so many defeats President Obama can take before he faces a challenge for the Democratic nomination in 2012. The NEW ERA of Obama that looked to place suspected terrorists in the US Civilian Court System has to come to an end, the Obama Administration has to place terrorists in Military Courts, what if this first Guantanamo Prisoner had been found not guilty of all the charges, Obama could have faced Impeachment by the Republican House in January, but in some respects Obama has been lucky one charge has worked but Obama cant count on that for the rest of the prisoners, thus POTUS should state that all those at Guantanamo will be tried by the US military and then the key will be throw away, Obama has to get tough or he will make Jimmy Carter look like a leader.

Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that a UK Soldier was killed on Wednesday in Afghanistan, the Soldier was from the “ 1st Battalion Irish Guards serving with Combined Force Nahr-e Saraj (North) ”. Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 345 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 304 in combat operations and 41 due to illness, accidents or other incidents.
