Telegraph: Reports the following on the sacking of Rex Tillerson, " Mr Trump later said on Tuesday that the pair "were not really thinking the same" on the Iran nuclear deal, which the president called "terrible".  "

Lets Get Real:

The sacking of Rex Tillerson should make IRAN very wary, the Trump Oval through out the campaign and since has stated that he wanted to negate the Treaty.   The Trump Oval faces two complicated problems, Iran and North Korea, if the Trump Oval wants a tougher deal with the Iran he will need his allies to follow through, the ex Secretary of State was alright with the Obama/Iran deal.  If Trump is to talk to North Korea he will need to get  a better deal than Obama got with Iran, otherwise his critics will say that he sold out the US for some good PR.  Either Iran or North Korea could lead to another War for the US, this is the time  for Diplomacy.

Lets Get Real:

When the left wing Guardian takes pity on you then you know you are in trouble, it can be stated that Tillerson was the worse Secretary of State EVER, he served the shortest period.  It would be fair to say that Tillerson was no Henry Kissinger, NSA and Secretary of State to Richard Nixon and President Ford.   The US Secretary of State should have the ear of the President, whatever a Secretary State might think of his boss he should keep it to himself, calling him a moron is not great politics or diplomacy.   Tillerson was so out of touch that the Trump Oval did not tell him that Trump had agreed to meet with the Leader of North Korea.   Let's see how the next Secretary behaves, he was the head of the CIA, and must have learned NEVER to be out of Office while the Donald is on Twitter.

Lets Get Real:

It can be argued that it was the Iran deal that broke the relationship between POTUS and his Secretary of State.   President Trump wants to break the deal, while his Secretary of State was fine with the deal.   The signs of the demise of Tillerson could be seen by the fact that POTUS did not tell his own Secretary of State that he was going to talk to North Korea, the Secretary had stated while in Africa that the US was far away from talks with North Korea.  The Secretary was made to look the fool.

One minute your out of the Office, in this case Africa and then you find that you are out of Office.   The sacking seems rather brutal, even by the standards of the Donald or POTUS, take your pick.   The State Department is only as powerful as the Secretary of State has the ear of the President.   It seems that POTUS wants YES men on his team, he is the President, he wanted the job.   Thus we now we have the case of Iran and North Korea, the Trump Oval wants to break the Obama nuclear deal with Iran and start talks with North Korea, the new Secretary of State will have a lot on his plate.  One would guess that Tillerson is the shortest serving Secretary of State EVER.

Lets Get Real:

One does wonder why Secretary of State Tillerson is hanging around, the Trump Oval has shown it will undercut the Secretary State at any time, of late it has been about North Korea.   In the modern Presidency foreign policy is done out of the White House, the State Department it can be argued using a British political term has house trained Mr Tillerson, any talks with North Korea is just the State Department appeasing the North Koreans, very much like our UK FCO, they appease the enemy and are anti Israel, No 10 on the whole never trusts the FCO as they have house trained the then Foreign Secretary.  One does wonder how much time Mr Tillerson has at State, one would guess not long before Trump places his own man at State to control the Department.

Lets Get Real:

The US and Russia have leaders with big egos  and think skins, thus it is up to the diplomats to make sure that their leaders do not lead them in to WW3.   From the US perspective the message has been sent, the US will not allow Assad of Syria to use WMD, but will not take action if he uses conventional methods, on the Russian side their perspective is to keep Assad in power, thus they will place a face of anger, but will understand that it is the fault of Assad for using WMD and with hope and luck Moscow can control him in the future.  Thus no need to buy that 2nd hand nuclear bunker yet, the two Countries are just playing a press game.

Lets Get Real:

IF Moscow did hack the Democrats they must be very happy with the result, they have Trump who has had kind words about Putin's Russia, and now a Secretary of State that does not want sanctions against Russia.   The Trump has been critical of the intelligence agencies and their views on Russian meddling, but that can not last when Trump reaches the Oval, he will have ALL the secret information, the kind of information that can not be discarded.   Let's see how long the warm relationship lasts between Trump and Putin.
