BBC News: Reports " A recorded conversation between an apologetic Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher over the invasion of Grenada has been published for the first time. "
Lets Get Real:
The actual talks is itself not secret, it has been documented before, this is the first time that a actual recording has come out. One can understand why Lady Thatcher was not happy, Grenada was in the Commonwealth. The Queen is head of the Commonwealth, but on the other hand the Oval Office was worried that Grenada would become another Cuba, one Castro was bad enough, the US public supported the action, the Democratic Nominee for President Walter Mondale could not make up his mind about the action. This Grenada military action put the USSR on notice that the US was back after the Vietnam War.
