The Last HOURS of Labour

Telegraph: Reports on the last hours of the New Labour Government in power. Those days after the May election will be discussed for years, did the Lib Dems really have any choice but to support or go in to coalition with the Conservative Party, was the first Gordon Brown resignation as Labour Leader but not as PM really give Labour and Lib Dems a chance to form a pact, was Gordon Brown thrown under the bus by Lord Mandelson as to allow for a Blair successor to take over the Party in Opposition. It will be interesting how Gordon Brown reacts to the question if he had known that it would be a Lib Dem / Conservative Coalition would he have resigned as Labour Leader so quick, so many questions, the answers will come out over the years but it was a historic period for the UK. It was the end of the New Labour era, the Labour Party is now in opposition this will give it a chance to discuss its future, does it want a Blair type candidate as its new leader or should it go for a guy of passion and a Brown supporter in the shape of Ed Balls. One thing folks UK politics just got fun.
