The Tehran Regime is taking its time to reply to the US peace proposal, YES, NO or Yes But does not take days.  Trump has shown that he is a chicken who never follows through.  IS the Iranian Regime seeking more concessions when it comes to the Strait of Hormuz or their nuclear stockpile.  Trump needs a public win, anything else would be a humiliation before the Mid Terms and the start of 2028 Presidential cycle. The Tehran Regime should not over play their hand.

The US waiting for Iran's response to its latest peace plan, thus every action by Iran is seen as a skirmish in the words of Trump.  The Trump Oval wants out of the War before Trump's visit to China and the Mid Terms.  The price of gas has gone up and inflation is making harder for Americans to pay their bills.  The Democrats are using affordability against the Trump Oval, thus a weak Trump wants out of the War.

The US is calling the action defensive, POTUS is desperate to end the WAR he started, he needs a clear victory.  The main points are that the Strait of Hormuz has to be clear for oil tankers and Iran has to give up its nuclear stockpile.  Anything less would be a PR disaster for Trump before the Mid Terms in November.

This POTUS being good coo/bad cop in one.  On the good side Trump will lift sanctions and there will be talks on Iran's nuclear stockpile, the bad cop is offering increased bombing.  This could be Trump's Munich 1938, Tehran get what it wants and Trump gets a piece of paper. The Obama deal with Iran took two and a half years to get before Trump ripped it up in his 1st term.  The Memorandum will be like Chamberlain signed agreement with Hitler at Munich, it will lead to to war a did the Chamberlain-Hitler agreement.  The Tehran Regime will lie, cheat over any nuclear deal, they can open or close the Strait of Hormuz as they want, this is Trump's Munich agreement of 1938.
