New York Times: A excellent article by David Brooks on how come Obama has not gotten a double digit lead over McCain. The answer is simple, what is the context of Obama. As stated I was an early supporter of Obama on this Blog and other Media. But the context changed, the post racial candidate became the African - American Candidate who was the Democratic Nominee not the other way around. He was not Hillary Clinton that was a major bonus, but as of now he has changed his mind on so many polices its hard to see what the difference was between the two, just that Obama wanted to win more at the end. If Obama's moves on Iraq, this blog will support him but his refusal to move and to pander to the left has moved this blog to more critical and also more supportive of McCain. It all could have been so different if had had not been for Pastor Wright. Read of the Day.

The Note ?
Politico: Reports on an allegation that the Bush White House forged a note that was meant to show that a link existed between the events of 9/11 and Iraq. The author, Ron Suskind wrote a very interesting book on the Bush Administration, The Price of Loyalty in 2004. I found that book interesting if not agreeing with its direction. Its interesting as Iraq has improved the elite media has to go back in to the past, they really want Obama to win in 2008.
Left Wing Zealots and Blogs
New York Sun: Reports that Liberal that support Obama are trying to close down right wing blogs. Lets see, the Obama Camp has used the race card against the McCain Camp when McCain has not gone any where near race as an issue, and now we have left wing zealots who do not care about the freedom of the press or bloggers, they are trying to close down blogs that oppose Obama. Senator Obama is better man and candidate than to have these people as supporters. I call on the Obama Camp to say Just No, Freedom Matters, and come out and denounce those that try to curb free speech, this is a test for Senator Obama and the Obama Camp. By the way if there is lack of posts on this blog over then next few days you will know that this blog has become a target of those that oppose the 1st Amendment.

Tougher Sanctions on Iran
Fox News: Reports that the UN will now place tougher sanctions on Iran due to its refusal to stop its nuclear planning. The sanctions have to be tough, unless Israel trusts the West to force Iran to back down it will attack, an attack in the region will cause a powder keg to go off, trouble for the USA in Iraq, higher Oil prices due to the fact that Iran would prevent tankers getting oil out of the region. The West has a very limited time in which to force Iran to stop its nuclear threat.
Sorry Bill Clinton
The New York Times: Reports that former President Bill Clinton still has issues with the Democratic Race in 2008. This Blogger has to say sorry to President Clinton. Views fell in to the group think of the elite media, that any comment that was negative about Obama was based at some level about race, well what the Obama Camp tried to do McCain of late shows that its the Obama Camp that is using race as a firewall, a force field to protect the candidate from any critical review, the press is even getting negative feed back if they write negative stories about the Campaign of Obama. So again Mr President sorry...
Iran Sabre Rattling
The New York Times: Reports on more threats from Iran, to close the waterways that transport oil to the West and also a threat to American Ships in the region. Iran has not learnt from Iraq pre- 2003. Don't Bluff a Bush White House, and don't give reasons for Israel to attack. A war is coming, the peace before the storm.
New Poll - McCain Leading Obama
Rasmussen: As policy don't do individual polls, but when they stand out, will mention them, this tracking poll by Rasmussen has McCain ahead of Obama. This is only the second poll that I have seen with Senator McCain ahead, the last one was the USA Today/Gallup Poll. This new poll has McCain leading by 1%. The Poll finds the following, McCain 47% - Obama 46%. The negative ads used by McCain has done the trick, bought Obama down to earth, if Hillary Clinton had done this early in the race, a different nominee would have been chosen by the Democrats. McCain needs to pick a VP that will be an attack dog over the Olympics, McCain should start to take the high road while his VP goes on the attack, that is the point of the VP. In 2004 Kerry was not happy that Edwards did not take that role, it could be argued that if Kerry Campaign had been tougher a different President would have been elected in 2004.
