New Poll - McCain Leading Obama

Rasmussen: As policy don't do individual polls, but when they stand out, will mention them, this tracking poll by Rasmussen has McCain ahead of Obama. This is only the second poll that I have seen with Senator McCain ahead, the last one was the USA Today/Gallup Poll. This new poll has McCain leading by 1%. The Poll finds the following, McCain 47% - Obama 46%. The negative ads used by McCain has done the trick, bought Obama down to earth, if Hillary Clinton had done this early in the race, a different nominee would have been chosen by the Democrats. McCain needs to pick a VP that will be an attack dog over the Olympics, McCain should start to take the high road while his VP goes on the attack, that is the point of the VP. In 2004 Kerry was not happy that Edwards did not take that role, it could be argued that if Kerry Campaign had been tougher a different President would have been elected in 2004.
