The one high point for Walter Mondale during the 1984 race was the first debate, to be fair it can be said that Reagan had a BAD FIRST DEBATE, this trend has been followed by future Presidents, after four years in the bubble and age the President was not at his best, this lead to reporters to ask about the age question, it was mentioned less for Biden who won in 2020. In the 2nd debate Reagan took the issue head on and stated that he would not make his opponents youth and lack of experience a issue, it did the trick, everyone laughed, even Mondale, he knew he has just LOST.
