Guardian - Politics Live: Reports in its 6.29pm post the following, " Harriet Harman is reportedly explaining the new leadership election rules to the PLP. She says the party needs to listen long and hard to the candidates who lost and draw on what they were told by the electorate. "
Lets Get Real:
The question is will the Labour Party ask the RIGHT questions, will understand in the real world why it lost, does it want to understand. The old left arguments do no work, well in the UK they don't, we are all Thatcher's children in that sense. The Ed Miliband agenda was attacking the rich, more welfare, the UK debt would have gone up, and the trade unions would have had more power. The Blair agenda was the reverse of the above, the Labour Party under Blair got the UK voter, while modern Labour does not even understand itself, never mind the voter. The soul searching will take time, lets hope Labour understands the question before the answer.
