Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that a British Soldier has been killed in Afghanistan, the soldier was from the " 3rd Battalion, The Rifles ". Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 280 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan. Of that total it has lost 247 in combat operations and 33 due to illness, accidents or other incidents. In 2009 the UK lost one soldier, in 2008 the UK lost three soldiers. Thus far in April the UK has lost two soldiers, lets hope that the death count does not grow during the month.
