The New York Times: Reports on the critical comments of a former President of Iran, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. The NYT writes that Rafsanjani has stated the following on the Government of Iran , " lost the trust of many Iranians and calling for the release of hundreds of protesters and democracy advocates arrested in recent weeks. " Speeches are great but that wont over turn the government in Iran, think Hitler, he would not be moved by speeches, there has to be a real resistance, there was a German resistance to Hitler and they tried to remove him a few times with no luck. At leas they tried in Germany to remove a madman. The question is have the people of the Iran the will and the backbone to really take on the Government of another mad man in the making President Ahmadinejad. The regime headed by Ahmadinejad has gone to far now to allow another free election, they have arrested and killed the innocent. What is quite surprising is that the Clerics Iran cant see that they have lost power, they are now seen as in the pocked of the regime. Thus what ever morale authority they had in Iran is suspect. Lets hope we have a peaceful revolution in Iran but fear it will be bloody and tragic.
