The Times: Reports that General Dannatt the head of the British Army has outfoxed UK PM Gordon Brown again, he has got his boss, the Chief of the Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup to deliver a to do list for Afghanistan. One thing they teach in the Army is Strategy, General Dannat has played a blinder, he knows Gordon Brown is weak when it comes to Afghanistan, thus with the recent deaths in military theatre he knows he can get the supply the Operation in Afghanistan needs, from helicopters to troops. UK PM Gordon Brown has placed himself in a hole, in 2004 as Chancellor of the Exchequer he cut Defence spending on helicopters, know that has come to haunt him. Unlike other problems Brown cant use his usual attack dogs on the Army, lets be honest he would not win a trust contest on his Afghanistan policy while the Army would, they are bleeding in Afghanistan, they also have a weak PM. Lets hope Brown will consider that the life's of our soldiers have the same weight as throwing money at the banks, lets hope our Armed Forces get the helicopters and troops they need on the ground and in the air.
