Is this the end of Twitter as the public square of the World, charging will not help those poor people who suffer from harsh regimes, they might not have the money and the Government will know were your direct debit is going.  One understands you do not become the richest man in the World by doing things for FREE, you want to make you money back, Mr M did not use his last $ to buy twitter, if I recall it cost 44 billion, not the kind of money you get from behind your couch.   Thus those with the money will run twitter, form the left to the right, younger and tech smart individuals will use other platforms that do not charge, but even then this blog expects Mr M to make his money back, that is the way of the World.   Next it will be Facebook, money runs the WORLD, Adam Smith would be proud.

Lets Get Real:

People expect THIS former President to be economic with the truth, lets be charitable and call it that, CNN and other left wing media will calling it lying, so who is to say they are wrong!  The President is banned from Twitter and Facebook, so he is creating his own media platform, it will be interesting to see if can actually have the range of other social networks, will the Trump voters support it, they did not in large numbers when it came to his blog.  The former President creates a buzz when he has a mass rally and still goes on about losing in 2020 to President Biden.  The advice of this blog to the former President is simple, turn your attention to 2024 if you are running, in less his health gives way or he is charged with something.  Any future Republican candidate will be going to the early States in the political calendar and supporting Republicans in the 2022 Mid Terms.  One can not write off Trump, he did win in 2016, but then then press was not out to get him, they were in 2020 and will be more anti Trump in 2024 if he runs.  The former President might be losing the Republican nomination even before he has started.

This will be a blow to the Donald, he will not be able to post on Facebook in till 2024, this might be bad, but if he runs in 2024 there is no way FACEBOOK can keep the suspension, it will be seen as playing for the other side, and what if the Donald wins AGAIN, not good for Facebook in D.C. It will be interesting to see how much of role the Donald will play in the 2022 Mid Terms, are his candidates successful, do the Republicans take the House and retake the Senate.   The next two years will be interesting, the Mid Terms will define the Biden Presidency, does he become a lame duck President or can he keep both Houses Democratic.  The fun starts in a few months time.

Facebook BLOCKS Oz Land for News - The right of Facebook to ACT - Modern technology

The problem is that the Australian Government does not understand the nature of the World Wide Web, its about people connecting each other through the web and the stories they highlight on the web.  The Oz Government is asking Facebook to pay for the links of others, why should they, if the Government wants to make money for the OLD NEWS, then it should charge the customers for making these links.  Of course if they did that they would be politically speaking DEAD IN THE WATER, the readers or viewers, do not see why they should pay for linking stories from the old press in to the modern platforms like Facebook.  Why should Facebook PAY when it is helping its customers, the Oz Government is showing that it is out of its DEPTH, one wonders if the Governor General acting on behalf of the Queen should sack the Government.
