As stated by this blog and others, Bakhmut has made itself a strategic importance, for the morale of the Ukraine people, and the Russians need a win, the mercenaries of the Wagner group as trying to show that they are the equal of the Russian military, thus far without much success. This blog predicts that the Russians will try to escalate the War, they downed a US Drone, and the pilots have been awarded medals from Moscow, the Russian President wants a one to one meeting with President Biden, he thinks he can better him, and wants to return to the COLD WAR, were the super powers decided the future of States, such as Yalta at the end of WW2. Putin will not get such a meeting before the 2024 Presidential Election, shaking hands with a WAR CRIMINAL is bad idea and a nightmare in image terms for the 24 election.
