Sky News - Live Reporting: Reports in its 10.52am post the following, " Lib Dem leader Sir Vince Cable tells Sky News he thinks it was a "mistake" to launch the Syria strikes "without getting proper political endorsement", adding the move was a "mistake of judgement" borne out of political weakness. "
Lets Get Real:
There will always be people who want to appease, the House of Commons in 2013 did not do itself any favours when it refused to back PM Cameron and his plan to attack Syria after the use of chemical weapons. The foundation of leadership is taking decisions that will cause others to be unhappy, Churchill, Reagan and Thatcher. In 1940 Churchill faced down the UK Establishment that wanted to appease Hitler, in the 1980s Reagan and Thatcher stood firm against the Soviet Union, and pushed through domestic reform that was needed. Sometimes leadership comes down to one person, who will make the difference.
