Lets Get Real:

If Secretary Kerry wants to be taken seriously on the International Stage he needs a very frank talk with President Obama, the kind of talk that gets you fired, and the kind of talk that makes you a great Secretary of State.   Secretary Kerry needs to tell President Obama to man up and fast, the Russians are playing 19th Century game and are winning, Obama might talk about the 21st Century as something special, well HERE is news for POTUS, its not, the problem with POTUS is that he thinks rhetoric is REAL, rhetoric without a steel fist is just empty air, hot air, the Russians only interest is what is good for Mother Russia, they will do what ever it takes, one can understand that, that is REAL, talking about legal norms of the 21st Century shows no understanding of history, it shows that President Obama has not grown in office, oh for Obama to have his own Leo ( West Wing ), someone who can take the bark off, its Obama's and the West's loss that he does not have REAL close friends in D.C. 

Kerry and the Russian THREAT - Ukraine Latest 2

Guardian: Reports the following from Washington D.C, " Moscow may be planning intervention in eastern Ukraine, US warns...John Kerry fears potential Crimea-style action after pro-Russian forces cement control of government building in Donetsk  "

Lets Get Real:

Secretary Kerry is a busted flush as they say in poker, what ever threats he makes to Moscow the Kremlin knows that he will not be backed up by President Obama, over Syria, Kerry at State took the troops up the HILL but his legs were cut off by the Oval Office, in basic terms President Obama does not have the balls to take on President Putin, a former KGB Officer can smell that kind of weakness a mile off.   Thus one can postulate that Putin might chance his arm in the Ukraine, if the West is going to place tougher sanctions on Russia then Putin might as well go for gold, he could take the entire Ukraine, it will not be easy, it will be bloody, one can expect that the West of the Ukraine will fight, the West will dither, Poland and other Eastern allies will wonder if Obama's and the US's word to come to their defence is still valid if they are attacked, one can only assume that Putin wants to return Russia to its former glory of the USSR or at least the former Tsarist Empire. 

NATO warns Russia over Ukraine - Ukraine Latest

BBC News: Reports the following, " Nato has warned Russia that further intervention in Ukraine would be a "historic mistake" with grave consequences. "

Lets Get Real:

The problem of with ALL this tough talk from the West is that at the end of the day the US and NATO will not do a dam thing should Russia take over the whole of the Ukraine, the former KGB Officer in the Kremlin has got Obama's number, and that is weakness, the Oval does not have the spine to take Putin on, thus if your in Ukraine YOU should be worried, the West will only ACT if it has too, if Poland comes under THREAT or the BALTIC STATES that would change the game, even President Obama would have to ACT, the question is would Putin go that far, is he so NUTS that he is starting to trust Russian TV.    The Russians do not have ALL the Aces, the West can bring Russia to his knees in economic terms, the question will Germany follow through with any threats, it gets the majority of its gas from Russia, that also goes for former Warsaw Countries.    The FSB is playing games in the East of the Ukraine, but the East is different, its not majority Russian, thus the Eastern game might take longer and might not work, time will tell who wins, the loser will be the Ukraine. 

What Middle Peace TALKS,? The Hubris of Secretary Kerry

Telegraph: Reports the following from the Israeli and Palestinian talks, " Middle East peace talks: both sides warn process is on the edge of collapse...Israeli official close to the talks says that even US secretary of state John Kerry, its tireless sponsor, was cooling off ".

Lets Get Real:

This was always the end result, the Palestinians want a REAL State, and they want the right of return to those that left Israel, a real STATE would be a constant threat to Israel, the Israeli people want a PEACE, but they firstly they want Israel to remain a Jewish State.   If you had a REAL Palestinian State it would have control of its air and ground space, this would be an open invite for terrorists to attack Israel, also if Arabs had a right of return they would over time outnumber those of Jewish decent, after World War 2 Israel is never going to allow Jews to become a  minority in their own State.   Every US Administration thinks it has a solution to the conflict in the Middle East, to be fair President Clinton go close in 2000, but the Palestinian leaders refused to take the best deal they were offered, that deal is not coming back soon.   Thus we have to wait three more years to see what a new US Administration bring to the Table.

Thus the pawns have been set in motion by Moscow, you have the unrest in the East of Ukraine, pro Russians protesters with guns, you have this death in the Crimea that will cause concern in Kiev, on the whole the Kiev Government has been passive, it has not risen to the bait of the Russians, one can assume that this is because of pressure from the Oval Office and the EU, but how long can Kiev do nothing when it comes to the Eastern Ukraine, it has to make sure on the ground that the East does not fall to the pro Russian protesters with guns, thus the Army of the Ukraine might have to make some movement to defend those that are loyal to the new Government in Kiev.    As stated you can not keep between forty and eighty thousands troops on standby for action for days and weeks on end, they become restive and can cause you more problems if you decide to take action, thus watch the news over the next few days, the Russian Bear might have woken up. 

Is Russia ready to invade the Ukraine ? - Ukraine Crisis Latest

BBC News: Reports the following from Eastern Ukraine, " Pro-Russian activists in eastern Ukraine have seized state security buildings in the cities of Donetsk and Luhansk, Ukrainian officials say.....in Luhansk the protesters have raided the arsenal in the security building. ".

These raids have the feel of a long term plan created in Moscow, the Luhansk attack could be the key, the protesters have gotten weapons, thus the new Kiev Government might have to send in forces to keep the City under Kiev control, this could be the provocation that Moscow needs to send its troops in to Eastern Ukraine, even go for total control of the Ukraine.    The Russians have forty thousand troops on alert on the Russian and Ukraine border, this presence and alert status can not be kept on forever, thus within days you could see an invasion of the entire Ukraine. 

What GAME is Iran playing? - Obama's 2nd Term Blues

BBC News: Reports on Iran's new nomination for its UN post in New York, " The Obama administration says Iran's nomination of a former hostage-taker as its ambassador to the United Nations is "extremely troubling".

Lets Get Real:

This move by Tehran is a REAL kick in the teeth for President Obama, since coming in to Oval Office in 2009 the Oval has tried to develop talks with Iran over its nuclear ambitions, the latest talks are not seen as having a great chance of success, this move by Tehran could be a way out for the Government of Iran, if Obama gives the green light the right and even some Democrats will jump on him, he could even be in pictures with the UN Ambassador from Iran, the rawness of the hostage crisis that took down the Carer Presidency has not be forgotten in the US, if the Oval Office says NO, then Iran can say that the talks have failed due to the actions of the Americans.   One has to assume that Tehran must have known that the history of their nominee would come to light, while at the same time having talks with the US about a final deal, there have been reports that the Conservatives in Iran have told their new President that either he gets a deal that benefits Iran or he is out of office.   Any deal that allows Iran to get near to becoming a nuclear power will not be approved either by the US Senate or Israel, a treaty or agreement could lead to Israeli striking Iran with all its power, thus in a sense this move by Tehran might be the straw that breaks the Treaty, various sides have an interest outside the main players in making this deal fail, the Conservatives in Iran who do not want a better relationship with the West and Israel and its supporters, yes this blog, who see any DEAL as another Munich 1938, the real world is raw, brutal and not for the faint hearted.
