Sky News - Live Blog: Reports the following in its 7.48pm post, " David Mellor, a long serving minister under Thatcher, tells Sky News this is the sort of reshuffle you'd expect "if you'd just won a huge majority". "
Lets Get Real:
It can be argued that Boris is going for broke, he has set himself a 99 day window to get out of the EU, with a deal or with NO DEAL. If you are going ALL IN as they say in Texas poker you might as well throw in ALL YOUR CHIPS. The question is can it be done, the EU will want to see if the Johnson Administration is stable before giving any concessions, also the HARD REMAINERS and those that Boris has just sacked will want to flex their elbows on the backbenches. The different this time, is that the WHOLE Cabinet will be united on one simple message, there will be a return to Cabinet Collective responsibility at ALL LEVELS. The PM has to be ready for a snap election, his Majority will go down to about 1 after a by election that is coming up, all seem to agree the PM will lose a seat to the Liberal Democrats. Time might not be on the side of BORIS.
