Lets Get Real:

In real politics and in the defence of US national security it can be argued that the US if it wants a WAR with Iran should do it before Iran gets the bomb, the trouble that North Korea makes and how limited the US reaction shows what happens when the opposition has the bomb.  Of course POTUS has been impeached, does he want that to be the only achievement of his time in Office, IF he serves one or two terms as President.   Bush 43 took the leader of Iraq down, Obama did the same with Libya through the use of air power ( showed that Reagan was right the first time ) and the death of UBL.   While Trump has been to seen to appease North Korea and Russia and gun shy when it comes to Iran. It of course should be noted that POTUS ordered the mission that killed the leader of Daesh, that was a brave decision and very Presidential.   One way to record a win when it comes to foreign policy would be to take down the Regime in Iran, the people of IRAN would be happy, the left can no say much. So is Trump another Reagan or Jimmy Carter?   Thus far this blog is far than impressed with Trump when it comes to foreign policy, American voters like and support strong leaders!

The Labour Leadership Contest - Future of the Labour Party - Election 2024

If Ms Bailey is Jeremy Corbyn in a skirt, then the Labour Party can forget winning in 2024, the Labour Party needs an effective Opposition leader, one that does not look like a female clone of Corbyn.  The Corbyn Labour Party has taken a once great winning Party under Tony Blair and made it a laughing stock.  The Party needs to return to the Centre, Blair has been accused of most things since Iraq, but no one ever doubt that he was a Patriot, who would made a great Conservative Prime Minister.  Those MPs that were defeated in 2019 and have sent a message of reform needed for the Labour Party, one doubts that their concerns will be listened too, the Corbyn Party is about Party Purity of the LEFT, what a shame for UK Democracy.

After an impeachment process in the House, the articles are supposed to go to the US Senate for TRIAL, but the SPEAKER is slow moving the process, she wants to control the structure of the Senate trial, she has been told to get lost in essence by the Senate Majority Leader.  The fact that the impeachment process is not supported by the US VOTER could be FACTOR, the impeachment process was just 12 weeks, while the investigations of NIXON AND CLINTON took years, the DEMOCRATS rushed to please the liberal press, but were left with a rotten egg, this is typical of Democrats, NO BACKBONE. 

Labour SPLIT on Brexit Deal - Brexit 31st January 2020

It seems that Parliamentary discipline has fallen apart in Labour, six MPs voted for the 2nd reading, while 32 MPs abstained, this is what happens when you lose an election badly, it was Labour's worse showing sine 1935.  A new Labour Leader is needed NOW, not in March, the Labour Party should have a temporary leader, someone with stature, someone who the Conservatives will not laugh at, Jeremy Corbyn was the number 1 reason given by voters for not voting for Corbyn, that should tell the MPs something, are they really going to go in to the New Year with Corbyn still in charge and shaping the succession race to suit his chosen successor, another left winger.   Listening to some of the Labour MPs in the House of Commons today, one gets the impression that Labour MPs seem to have forgotten that the UK has just had an election, and LABOUR LOST, badly, the have to wise up face being on the Opposition benches for decades.

A HISTORIC Day, the UK House of Commons has passed the 2nd Reading of the Brexit Bill, also the time table for the new year, the next stage after that is the House of Lords, as the Brexit Deal was in the Conservative Manifesto the House of Lords cannot block it, well that is the tradition, let's hope there are NO silly games by our Lords.  If need be the Government can use the Parliamentary Act that allows the House of Commons to overrule the House of Lords, but that should not be needed.  A good day if you are a Conservative and Brexit supporter. 

POTUS on being Impeached - Election 2020

The White House: States: "Today marks the culmination in the House of one of the most shameful political episodes in the history of our Nation.  Without receiving a single Republican vote, and without providing any proof of wrongdoing, Democrats pushed illegitimate articles of impeachment against the President through the House of Representatives.  Democrats have chosen to proceed on this partisan basis in spite of the fact that the President did absolutely nothing wrong.  Indeed, weeks of hearings have proved that he did nothing wrong.

Throughout the House Democrats’ entire sham impeachment, the President was denied fundamental fairness and due process under the law.  The House blatantly ignored precedent and conducted the inquiry in secrecy behind closed doors so that Chairman Adam Schiff and his partisan political cronies could selectively leak information to their partners in the media to push a false narrative.

When public hearings were held before Chairman Schiff’s committee, Democrats continued their games and denied the President the ability to cross-examine witnesses or present witnesses or evidence.  The proceedings in the Judiciary Committee included no fact witnesses at all and consisted solely of a biased law seminar and a staffer rehashing the slanted report that was produced by Chairman Schiff’s rigged proceeding.  This unconstitutional travesty resulted in two baseless articles of impeachment that lack any support in evidence and fail even to describe any impeachable offense.

All of these antics make clear that Democrats have lost sight of what this country needs, which is a Congress that works for the people.  Their boundless animus for President Trump fuels their desire to nullify the 2016 election results, and improperly influence the 2020 election.

The American people are not fooled by this disgraceful behavior.  They understand fairness, due process, and substantial, reliable evidence are required before any American should be charged with wrongdoing—and certainly before impeaching a duly elected President.

The President is confident the Senate will restore regular order, fairness, and due process, all of which were ignored in the House proceedings.  He is prepared for the next steps and confident that he will be fully exonerated.  President Trump will continue to work tirelessly to address the needs and priorities of the American people, as he has since the day he took office. "

One gets the impression that POTUS will take his revenge on the Democrats for this foolish overreaction by them when it comes to the Ukraine, he might VETO every Bill they want, make them understand as President he make their lives difficult.  Who can blame him, at least Nixon and Clinton deserved to be impeached, the Democrats have been looking to take revenge on Trump for beating HRC in 2016, it will be OPEN WARFARE now in Washington, Trump likes to COUNTER PUNCH, there are a lot more rounds to go before this story ends.

The Democrats are trying to revoke the result of the 2016 Presidential Election, that is the argument that POTUS will use and it could get him 2 term as President, also the Democrats can not impeach Trump again if does something they do not like.   The US Senate will find Trump NOT GUILTY and he will be back on the campaign trail.  The Democrats in a process to find Trump guilty of anything have not taken the American people with them, when there is Democratic President in the Oval Office and a Republican House expect payback from the Republicans.  Politics is a brutal game, expect Trump to take revenge over something the Democrats want.

By the time impeachment process is finished one can postulate that Trump will use the impeachment as positive, while Democrats will be running away from the process. This is what happens when a political party allows the extremes to take charge, Speaker Pelosi could not say NO this group in fear that she would lose their support to remain Speaker, thus the impeachment is a short term answer to a bigger problem, the Democrats hate POTUS, what will they do next when he does something really wrong, they can hardly impeach him a 2nd time, the Republican Base will not support POTUS even more, a silly process with a silly end result.

Thus with a Majority the PM will not face crunch votes in the House of Commons, all of his MPs signed off on the manifesto, even the ERG, the hardest of Brexit supporters.  It seems that Labour has learned nothing from the General Election, it looks like they will oppose the UK leaving the EU on 31st January, also the front runners for the leadership are left wingers, London centred, who think Jeremy Corbyn won the battle of ideas, what part of losing over 50 MPs do they not get.  This blog is looking forward to the end of January, the UK should have a public holiday to celebrate getting out of the EU, it has always been the political structure that this blog wanted out off, the trade side and its weeds do not have that much interest.   The BBC should cut the number of reporters it has at the EU, what is the point of them, it's OVER.

Thus the worse general election for Labour since 1983 and even then Michael Foot managed to gain more SEATS that Jeremy Corbyn.   One of the main points for LABOUR losing was the fact that Jeremy Corbyn was a the LEADER, the UK VOTER was not going to vote for a MARXIST for PM, they are not that foolish.   The Labour Leadership and MPs need to learn that they have to track to the CENTER, that is how Tony Blair won won three elections, 1997, 2001, and even after Iraq in 2005.   The last leaders after Blair did not have a plan and were defeated by the voters in 2010, 2015 and even 2017 under PM May.  In some of the interviews the Labour leadership has said that they won on policy but not with the voters, it is the last bit that matters, after 1983 Labour learned its lesson, NOW they must re-learn those lessons.

The PM is showing that he understands what the BREXIT VOTER wants, that means out of the EU or a trade deal that the UK can support.   The Deadline will force the Republic of Ireland to give more concessions, as a NO DEAL BREXIT would be a disaster for them.  The Labour Party it seems will vote against the DEAL, that shows that the Labour leadership has not learned from the General Election.  There will not be any more crunch votes in the House of Commons, Boris has a majority for five years or more, a good day if you support Brexit.

WTF, the BBC biased in favour of the Conservative Party, what planet is Mr McDonald on, the fact the reverse it true, the BBC when it comes to BREXIT is in the FIRM REMAINER camp and has been since the 2016 vote, the tone of the BBC has been to undermine Brexit and the voters.   The BBC has had to send reporters out, up North, the impression one gets is that BBC reporters think Northern voters are from a different plant, not the safe progressive Islington, the BBC has been joined at the hip with the Guardian.   The BBC is getting it from all sides, they can argue they must be doing something right, it would be the first time the BBC has done something right since World War 2

The General Election was only a few days ago, and the Labour Party is in a civil war, Ms Thornberry should not swear on TV, is in dispute with Ms Flint over alleged remarks.   The Labour Chief Whip, if they have one, should be in discussion with the Ladies to make sure the issue does not go the Courts, that would be a bloody mess and would make Labour look even more foolish than it looks now.   Jeremy Corbyn is holding on as to allow for a successor that will follow his agenda, the remaining MPs should force his resignation, do they really want him to be their leader in Prime Minister Questions, he will have no standing, the Conservatives will just laugh at him, poor day for Labour.

The main message of last Thursday's vote was that the people want to see Brexit get done, they want a deadline to mean a deadline, thus the UK will be out of the EU on January 31st 2020.   Even the HARD REMAINERS have stated that it is done and dusted that he UK is leaving the EU.  It would be a mistake for Labour to select another leader who is seen as a Remain supporter or pushed for a 2nd vote.  The Conservative Government will only be as good as the opposition, thus far the Labour Civil War has not been good, all the main contenders are either Remainers or those who are seen as being close to Corbyn, the Labour Party has to find its roots back in the North and with working people, otherwise it will go the way of the Liberals at the start of the 20th Century, small and of no importance.

This should be a SHOCK POLL to those Conservatives expecting a easy victory, the Conservatives have to get the message out over the next few hours, that every vote is needed by Boris Johnson to make sure that BREXIT gets done.   The Labour Party has a  good ground game, thus the Conservatives have to start knocking on doors to get their vote out.  If you support BREXIT, you need to get out out to vote for the Conservative Party, otherwise BREXIT will be stopped by the Remain Alliance and Labour.  VOTE CONSERVATIVE.

As other polls have shown the Conservative LEAD has narrowed, as the YouGov MRP suggests the Conservative MAJORITY could be down to 28 or even in the right circumstances another HUNG PARLIAMENT.   The Conservatives need a decent ground game to get the their voters to the voting booth.  One only hopes that OLDER voters have send their vote by mail, because one can expect younger voters to turn out in force for Corby,  I do not see the attraction, but they do like him.  One also hopes that the Midlands and North go for the Conservatives and that tactical voting has been over hyped!! One a day to go before voting, this blog hates voting day, it's the wait in till 10pm and the BBC projection of the result.

The polls are getting closer, so who do you trust at the end of the day, political commentators it seems have fallen to the mistake of OLD Generals, of fighting the LAST ELECTION all over again, it's a new battle, three new polls showed three different outcomes, from the Conservatives with a LEAD of 6 to a double Conservative LEAD.  The NHS's lack of beds could sway some Labour voters to back Labour even if they do not like Corbyn.  This Blog is waiting for the BIG POLL on Wednesday, that should give the voters a good indication of the result. Politics is a art not science, the normally rules do not apply!

The LEFT wing press have been all over this story, it lead on the 10pm news show, one would have thought a volcano going off in one of our former colonies would have LEAD the news, of course not, this is the left leaning BBC, they take their inspiration from Guardian, another left wing paper.   The NHS is always used by Labour when it is in Trouble, they face a major defeat on Tuesday so ALL RULES get thrown out of the Window, of course the Twitter World is full of the story, simple minds can be swayed quite easily.    There is never enough money for the NHS, that is the point, the NHS is a free service, it keeps people alive, thus when they get older they need more care, and tax paying voters care for the NHS but do not want to vote for more money, it will NEVER be enough.   The political lesson for the day!!

The latest polls show a Conservative LEAD of between 6% or 9% to 14%.  One can expect the polls to get a lot closer, the latest BAD NEWS from a NHS hospital, well the image of a child on a floor should lead to uptake for LABOUR, ( before any mutterings, everything is political.  The FACT that the Labour Daily Mirror has  a 2nd image of child sleeping on the chair will sway a few Labour supporters to vote for Labour even with Corbyn in power.  The Conservative Party should expect no decency or quarter from the left wing press and TV, they will play up any story that is negative and prevents the Conservatives in getting a majority, its low politics but also good politics.  This blog is starting to speculate that we could be facing another Hung Parliament, God help us.

Thus the last weekend before the election and on Friday the Conservatives have a 12% LEAD over the Labour Party.  In Friday's debate it was seen that PM Boris had won the debate by 52% to 48%. This blogger has come to the conclusion that the DEBATERS do not matter, it merely confirms the views of the viewer.  Thus in general this blogger will not sully his mind with such things, on whole the candidates just stress their talking points, with Boris its Get Brexit Done, and with Jeremy Corbyn its Northern Ireland and the NHS.  The point of debates of interest for the viewer it see a candidates FAIL, this has not happened, no big mistakes, as one has noticed in US Debates, the winner of the debate does not mean you win, does anyone recall Presidents Mondale, Gore, Kerry, McCain, Hillary Clinton.  As with most things, the US voter is ahead of its UK counterpart, plus the viewers are on to the trick of spin after Tony Blair.   Thus the next few days we shall the campaign up their game, and get their ground game out, getting voters to vote.   The question for this blogger is will young voters vote and will this have any effect on the election, we shall see.

Of course if Labour gets in to power they will fiddle a Brexit vote, as the PM states they will allow EU Citizens to vote in any vote and thus revoke the Democratic spirit of the Brexit vote of 2016.   The Conservatives really need to get their ground work operation working, and making sure that those Conservatives who have decided to vote by mail, send their vote back in time to be counted.  There will be many polls over the next few days, will blog will watching to see if the the Labour support goes up or down, also a major YouGov poll will be released the day before the election, will the Conservative LEAD increase or falter as it did in 2017.

Thus the Conservative LEAD in the polls is carrying on, of course today, later on tonight we have the 2nd Leaders debate, it will be interesting to see who comes out the winner, it has been suggested that Corbyn really needs a good night or Labour is toast.  Of course PM is trying to avoid making any mistakes, thus he will be stressing BREXIT, more money for the NHS and the Police and tax cuts after Brexit.  Corbyn will have to explain how he is going to pay for ALL HIS PROMISES, the magic money tree better be very long, as Corbyn is promising whatever it takes to get elected.  Also on Thursday it will be interesting to see how much 18-25 year olds turn up, it could be  LONG NIGHT.

The Conservatives over the next week have to promise TAX CUTS for the working and middle class and more Police Officers on the beat and more money going to the NHS.   They have to point out the magic money tree that Labour has found is an illusion and Labour's promises are a con trick on the voters, promising everyone something will lead the Country back to the 1970s.  The Conservatives have to think they are in trench warfare for voters, every door must be knocked, Conservatives with friends should try to get them to vote Conservative, we need BREXIT and a Conservative Government.

The latest poll is good for the Conservatives, a 9% LEAD, but we have a week to go, on Friday we have the final debate between PM Boris and Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour LEADER has to win big on Friday or its over, in less some scandal breaks between NOW and next Thursday.  POTUS managed not to rock the boat on his visit for the NATO Summit, that was good for the Conservatives if not for Labour.  The Conservatives have to fight for every VOTE, and promise more TAX CUTS for the working class, take the fight to Marxist Labour Party.  The game is not over yet!!

It is a pity that Senator Harris is OUT, she was an impressive candidate who seems could not make her mind up if she was on the left or the right, a track record as Prosecutor who make you think she was on the right, but her attempt to out Liberal Warren and Sanders was a mistake.   The rot started when she said that the US should abolish private health cover, this went down like a lead balloon with voters and since then she has tried to repair the damage.  There is always 2024 if Trump wins in 2020 or she could be the VP choice for Biden in 2020. Kamala will be back, it took the Gipper three attempts before he won the Oval Office.

Thus far POTUS has not caused that much damage to PM Boris, he has stated that he would not want the NHS even if it was served on a silver platter, that removes of one of Labour's main attacks on the Government and Trump.  This will not stop Labour going on about it, they fear a humiliation next Thursday, of course that depends on the polls being right.  The Daily Mail has a 12% LEAD for the Conservatives, we shall see what other polls say by the weekend.  One has to admit that this general election is on the whole quite boring, it has never caught fire, one just assumes that the voters want it done and dusted.

Thus the Democratic held House WILL impeached Trump before Christmas and then it goes to the Senate, the Senate is run by the Republicans, they will not convict and thus Trump will be declared innocent of ALL CHARGES and the Democrats have just handed Trump a 2nd term.   The last impeachment was in 1998, when the Republican House impeached Bill Clinton and he was found not guilty in the Senate, in the 2000 elections the Republicans lost Seats in the House and Vice - President Gore had to pay the political cost for Bill Clinton by losing to Bush 43.

The leads for the Conservatives in the above polls ranges from 12% to 7%, if you careful you think the average is about 8% to 10%, just enough for a majority Government, but if the lead drops we are heading in to a HUNG Parliament territory.   The last three years would like HAPPY HOUR, the Liberal Democrats and SNP will make demands that the Conservatives can not agree too, while Labour will agree to anything to have Corbyn in power in No 10.  Thus if you want another Brexit vote, vote for the Labour Party, if you want a 2nd Indy vote in Scotland you should vote for the SNP.  This is a crucial election, if you want stability you vote Conservative.

One can only hope that POTUS does not say anything or tweets something that is damaging to the Conservative Party before the UK General Election.  Of course that might be hoping to much, one does wish POTUS was a conventional politician and understood the rules of the game, but then would he have been elected President in 2016 if he was conventional.   The next few hours and days will be interesting!!!.

There has been a drop in Conservative support to from 9% to 12%, any more of a loss and we are looking at a minority Conservative Government, the support for Labour has come from Remainers who can smell the the coffee when it comes to supporting the Liberal Democrats.   The Conservatives have to fight for every vote and remind the VOTERS that a Corbyn Government would be a disaster for the UK, we would no longer be trusted and NATO would come under THREAT.  If your the intelligence services would you trust Comrade Corbyn with STATE SECRETS, of course not, and our allies would cut the intelligence shared with the UK. This is an interesting poll, as it shows a Conservative Majority as long as people do not use their vote as a tactical way to STOP BREXIT, if there is a mass move to vote tactically then the Conservatives can be stopped in pushing Brexit.   It has been noticed that 3 million people under the age of 25 have registered to vote, if they are a majority are REMAINERS, then BREXIT could be stopped.  The Conservatives have to fight for every vote, the REMAINERS will use any method to win, thus the Conservatives have to fight even harder.  older voters who tend to be BREXIT supporters should be helped to vote on December 12, every vote is needed.

The latest poll has the Conservatives on a 11% LEAD over Labour, the failure of Corbyn to deal with the anti Semitic perception of Labour has lead to the Labour Party going on about its favourite allegation that the Conservatives will try to sell the NHS, its rubbish and allows the Labour Party to divert attention from its low poll ratings and gin up the base of the Labour Party.  Also it allows the BBC/Guardian types to divert attention from the rotten chances of Labour winning the general election to the threat that the NHS will be sold to the Americans under a new trade deal.  If Labour wants to have a chance of winning the election it must do something drastic, what about sacking Jeremy Corbyn?

Let's recall in 2017 at this time  the Labour Party gained support, in this year's general election the Labour Party is promising everything to everyone, from the old to the young, it will throw any idea at the wall to gain traction.   The Conservatives have to fight back, keep the message simple, get Brexit done, and tax cuts, and remind the voters how much the Labour promises would cost the typical voter.  This is the time to keep the Ship of State steady, a Labour win would be a disaster for the UK.  PM Boris has to come out fighting.  It is trench warfare, you have to fight for every vote.

It is not for this blog to question the true intentions of Jeremy Corbyn when it comes to anti - Jewish racism, even if one Labour MP has called him anti semite to his face.  The problem is that Corbyn's perceived anti Israel and support for the creating of a Palestinian State has bought him to contact with those that are anti Israel, if Corbyn wants to get the Jewish vote he has to move to the centre and been seen as a friend of Israel not an enemy.  One can speculate that those of the Jewish faith will not be voting Labour in this election, that would be FAULT of Corbyn and there is no hiding from that FACT.

Thus we have 4 polls that show a Conservative LEAD of between 7% and 13%, this blog is always cautious so let's speculate that the actual lead is between 7%  and because Survation was right the last time, its 11%.   This would lead to a healthy Conservative majority, but let's also speculate that there will be tactical voting on the side of Remainers, thus a narrow Conservative numbers when it comes to House of Commons Seats.   The Conservatives are faced with an opposition that is promising the earth to everyone without saying how they will pay for it, we are talking of billions of pounds in extra spending, that means tax hikes, that means the Uk borrowing billions, are UK's credit rating would go down the toilet, the Labour Party has already promised 83 billion more than the Conservatives and 53 billion to cover the pension hoe for women bore after 1950.   One can only hope that the UK voter can see through this magic money tree that the Labour Party has grown, otherwise the UK is is for a World of hurt.

Thus a lead of 16% to 11% for the Conservative Party, let's see over the weekend if the polls change with the release of the Labour Manifesto and the Question Time session with the leaders.  If your in the Conservative Party you hope that the main focus of the debate will be about Brexit, if your Labour you want ANY other subject to get attention.   One the Liberal Democrat side you hope that your leader gets liked more, very hard if you want to revoke Article 50 and dismiss 17.4 million voters.   The Conservative Manifesto is released on Sunday, that should be interesting, will there be any major mistakes in it, like in 2017 with PM May, one only hopes for CLEAR argument for tax cuts and getting Brexit done.

This is good poll for the Conservatives, let's see the polls after people have had a chance to see and read the RADICAL AND LEFT WING Labour Manifesto.   The Manifesto should scare people to vote for the Conservative Party, the thought of Corbyn in 10 Downing Street should make even moderate left wingers very afraid, a Corbyn Government would destroy the Labour Party and wreck the UK ECONOMY, the tax hikes required to fund its pledges would hurt everyone, even the working class.  VOTE CONSERVATIVE ON DECEMBER 12.
