It is rare for this blog to make critical comments outside it's political or historical interests, but this time this blog must make a STAND, it is about the lack of customer care by Wetherspoon's in Pwllheli. The incident occured on Saturday, this blog goes to pub every Saturday, normally for a meal and of course to drink. As I was some distance from the Bar I WAS ill, I was not near or any place close to the pub. I become ill, I must admit I had been drinking, but when your ill your ill. After recovery and walking on to the pub I was told I could not go in. This was a shock, when your are a loyal customer, there every week for years and one thought on good terms with the security staff one was shocked, I asked if I came back later on if I could come in, the said I might be allowed. I went on my merry way, then came back to the pub, I did consider it my local, my place for a drink and to eat. Then I was told I was barred for that night, I was shocked and hurt, when one goes there often one expects that the management and staff would have asked IF I was okay, they just said NO ENTRY, after years of going there. One of the security staff was over aggressive, I thought he was going to have a stroke, if you hire OLD people for security that is what you get!! Age does not bring wisdom!l just lack of brain power. I asked to speak to the management, they security staff refused, I phoned the local number, the Manager it seems was hiding in his OFFICE. I let it go in till today, then I went there very early, they do an excellent bacon and tea, ( I shall miss those and the late dinner ) I was given the run around again, the Manager was on the phone, then she was doing the cooking, managers doing the cooking, they must be hard up. I was told to come back at 3pm, I shall give them the courtesy that they do not give me and shall return. But I am afraid my use of the Pub is at an end, if they treat loyal and regular customers like that then they must not care for the average person. It is pity the owner of the Chain is a Brexit supporter, he just seems to hire old staff with no wisdom and young staff who do not care about THE CUSTOMER, LOYAL CUSTOMERS.
REBUFF WETHERSPOON - DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER CARE AND IS DISLOYAL TO CUSTOMERS.
