Washington Post: Reports " A former senior-level intelligence official flatly denied that President Trump or his campaign aides were wiretapped during the 2016 election, just minutes after the White House — offering no evidence — called for an investigation into Trump's claim that then-President Barack Obama had ordered such surveillance. "
Lets Get Real:
It would be first for a newspaper to take a blanket denial as the first answer. The newspapers have to check with their sources, and also if they have them with the NSA. The urban elite press needs to get some bonus points with the American people, thus it should dig, the Watergate team of the 1970s took months to get to the story. Just because the press love President Obama, they need his denial to be backed up by 2nd sources. The US Congress has a lot to investigate, there is the links between Trump and the Russians, the Russian hacking of the DNC and the Clinton Campaign, and now the allegation from the White House that President Obama ordered the tapping of the Trump Campaign. IF Trump has some confirmation it is important that he release the information. These allegations could take months and could lead nowhere!!
