BBC News: Reports the following from the UN talks in Geneva on the Syrian Crisis, " The UN mediator Lakhdar Brahimi has apologised to the Syrian people after peace talks in Geneva ended without making progress. ".
Lets Get Real:
This talks were always going to fail, the sides had two different outcomes, the opposition want Assad OUT, while Assad himself and his Regime wants to stay in power. The failure of the US to strike Syria when it was found that Syria had used WMD on its own people showed the weakness of Obama to the world. The Assad Regime is going nowhere while it is backed by Russia and Iran. The Obama Oval wants a deal with Iran over its nuclear plans thus is prevented from putting to much pressure on Iran. The end result is there will be more deaths, more innocents will be killed while the Oval seeks an illusion of peace with Iran. The US always gets burned in the Middle East.
